More proof that John Francois Kerry is a complete jerk:

JPOST:
Assad on Sunday called on Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to ditch negotiations with Israel in favor of “armed resistance.”

Kerry, nonetheless, said in Damascus following a three-hour meeting with Assad that Syria was committed to engaging in peace-making and was essential to the Mideast process.
REPEAT:

To the Western ear the two statements are irreconcilable; however, in the Islamic lexicon "peace" does not mean the same thing as to us. Peace to Assad means submission by Israeli infidels to Muslim rule. In Islam, the world is divided into two spheres, Dar al Harb (the world of War) and Dar al Islam (the would of Islam). Therefore, it is perfectly logical in the Muslim mind to engage in peace through conquest. It is in this spirit that Assad can call for intifada (shaking) or armed resistance as the means to engaging in peace making.

He, of course, means the peace which would come to the region after Israel is no more!
