Al Gore uses more electricity every 18 days than the average American household consumes during the entire year. [CLICK FOR DETAILS.]WITH ALL THAT ELECTRICITY, YOU'D THINK THAT AL GORE WOULD SEE THE LIGHT - AND THE ERROR OF HIS WAYS!
HENRY WALLACE PROVES THAT IT'S POSSIBLE FOR EVERYONE - EVEN FOR LEADERS OF THE "PROGRESSIVE" MOVEMENT - TO SEE THE LIGHT:
Famous Democrat and "progressive" FDR Veep and 3rd party presidential candidate Henry Wallace eventually saw the light and voted for Nixon over JFK:
For us neocon hawks, JFK's Inaugural still rings true today:In 1950, when North Korea invaded South Korea, Wallace broke with the Progressives and backed the U.S.-led war effort in the Korean War.[2]
In 1952, Wallace published Where I Was Wrong, in which he explained that his seemingly-trusting stance toward the Soviet Union and Joseph Stalin stemmed from inadequate information about Stalin's excesses and that he, too, now considered himself an anti-Communist.
He wrote various letters to "people who he thought had traduced (maligned) him" and advocated the re-election of President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1956.[2]
In 1961, President-elect John F. Kennedy invited him to his inauguration ceremony, though he had supported Kennedy's opponent Richard Nixon. A touched Wallace wrote to Kennedy: "At no time in our history have so many tens of millions of people been so completely enthusiastic about an Inaugural Address as about yours.".[2]
It sure sounds like JFK was more of a neocon than a progressive!!
Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty. 4 This much we pledge—and more.
... Finally, to those nations who would make themselves our adversary, we offer not a pledge but a request: that both sides begin anew the quest for peace, before the dark powers of destruction unleashed by science engulf all humanity in planned or accidental self-destruction. 11 We dare not tempt them with weakness. For only when our arms are sufficient beyond doubt can we be certain beyond doubt that they will never be employed.
... In the long history of the world, only a few generations have been granted the role of defending freedom in its hour of maximum danger. I do not shrink from this responsibility—I welcome it. I do not believe that any of us would exchange places with any other people or any other generation. The energy, the faith, the devotion which we bring to this endeavor will light our country and all who serve it—and the glow from that fire can truly light the world.
I pray that Al Gore sees the light that Wallace saw one day, too. The sooner the better.
