jdamn: Putting your kids in the care of the government all day, in an inherently socialist program, and expecting it to not be socialist is insane, stupid, and silly.

And that's the way it will be until we dismantle all the socialism in America, including public schools, Medicare and Medicaid, and Social Security. When conservatives operate on any other premise, we're screwed. When kids grow up in a society in which socialism is normal, they will grow up to view it part of a society which they are taught is actually capitalist, even though it's not, no matter where they go to school or what they're taught.

Newsflash, Ann: Those kids have already adopted the worldview in which you fear they will be indoctrinated. So have you if you don't see the irony in objecting to the teaching of socialism in a socialist institution.
