Leftists argue that health care is a right.
THIS IS WRONG.
A person doesn't have the right to steal someone else's goods or services. This is basically why Lincoln was against slavery: Lincoln argued that all humans were entitled - simply by virtue of being alive - to the fruits of their labor.
Nobody has the "right" to make anyone give them goods or services involuntarily.
Nobody has the right to tell a doctor or nurse or druggist or pharmaceutical company to give them a good or service without paying them what they want.
If they can't agree on the price for a good or service, then there's simply no deal, no transaction.
When our government has the right to take a good or a service at any price it says, then we are serfs, not citizens.
What is a FAIR proice for health care goods and services?
LIKE FOR EVERYTHING ELSE: The highest price the market can bear.
Government has distorted prices on health care and has the free market in health care less efficient than it could be.
In areas of health care where there is no government interference - like cosmetic surgery and corrective eye surgery by laser - prices have continuously come down. The free market works.
To achieve a healthier America, we need LESS government involvement in health care not more.
We need phase out Medicare, not put the whole nation in it from cradle to grave!
Medicare is a huge rip off of workingclass America: Let's say you work 40 years and make $50K a year. At retirement, you've put in $120,000 into Medicare and $120,000 into Social Security - without interest. When you retire, you get a little doled out to each month. And when you die - THE GOVERNMENT KEEPS THE BALANCE; YOUR KIDS GET BUPKUS!
YUP: Odds are you're not gonna get back all you put in - not in monthly checks and not in healthcare.
So why are both SS and Medicare going broke!? Corruption, "3rd Party Pay" apathy about prices, and demographics. SS and Medicare are both literally PONZI SCHEMES: payouts to current recipients depends on an ever-INCREASING pool of donors. Well, the recipient class is burgeoning and the donor pool isn't. This equals bankruptcy unless they raise tax rates.
If instead of the current system each of us had out the same amounts onto T-Bill and bonds and sticks, then we'd all have enough money for our health needs and retirement. And when we die it all stays in the family!
By keeping us in charge if our own health-care dollars we become better consumers of health care and also powerfully motivated to stay healthy: the healthier we are the wealthier we become because we get to keep all that money that might have been used for health care needs.
Privatization of government pensions and government healthcare would make the healthcare industry more efficient and their goods and services a better value.
It would also make politicians and bureaucrats less powerful.
And this is the major hurdle. Along with the trial lawyers and government unions who profit off of the current system. This triumvirate, this unholy trinity is the only reason we have a inefficient healthcare industry.
Andf this unholy tirnity is the heart and sould of the Democrat Pary.
Every vote for any Democrat is a vote against efficiency in the healthcare industry.
