BBC: "Kennedy death leaves no clear heir" - OH YES HE DOES!!!

THE BBC LISTS THE PROBABLE HEIRS TO THE POLITICAL FAMILY'S FORTUNES HERE:

PATRICK KENNEDY

Edward Kennedy's son, 42, is the only remaining Kennedy to hold elected office, having served as a member of the House of Representatives for Rhode Island since 1988.

CAROLINE KENNEDY

The 51-year-old author, lawyer and philanthropist is the only surviving child of former president John F Kennedy.

Caroline Kennedy trained at Sotheby's in art and graduated from Colombia Law School.

Following the election, she put her name forward to take the US Senate seat for New York left empty by Hillary Clinton, who took up the post of Secretary of State.

But Ms Kennedy withdrew in January, after failing to impress in media interviews.

Joseph Kennedy is the eldest son of Robert Kennedy, who served six terms as a congressman from Massachusetts, until 1999.

Now 56, he runs the non-profit Citizens Energy Corporation, which provides affordable heating oil to low-income families.

He considered running for governor of Massachusetts in 2002, but decided against it citing family reasons.

One of Eunice Kennedy Shriver's four sons, 45, he was a member of the Maryland House of Delegates from 1995 to 2003. In 2002, he was defeated in a Democratic primary in Maryland for a seat in the US House of Representatives.He subsequently moved away from the state and is now a director for Save the Children.
