APPEASEMENT IN AFGHANISTAN: KARZAI OFFERS TALIBAN / MULLAH OMAR A DEAL
CAN PETRAEUS BACK THIS? BBC:
OF COURSE, OBAMA WILL PROBABLY ENDORSE KARZAI'S APPEASMENT.
President Hamid Karzai of Afghanistan has offered to provide security for the Taleban's reclusive leader, Mullah Omar, if he agrees to peace talks.
Mr Karzai made the offer despite the multi-million dollar bounty offered for the militant leader's capture by the United States.
He said that if the US and other Western countries disagreed, they could either leave the country or remove him.
There was no immediate response to Mr Karzai's offer from the militants.
- KARZAI MUST GO.
- AND WE MUST GET FREAKIN' SERIOUS ABOUT ANNIHILATING THE TALIBAN AND AL QAEDA, WHICH MEANS WE GOTTA STOP FIGHTING THEM WITH HALF-ASSED HALF-MEASURES.
- WE NEED TO ROLL OUT THE BIG GUNS AND START BOMBING THE CRAP OUT OF THE LAWLESS REGIONS. WITH EVERYHTING WE'VE GOT, NOT JUST TARGETED DRONE ATTACKS.
- EITHER PAKISTAN CONTROLS THE REGION OR IT'S DE FACTO NOT PART OF PAKISTAN - AND A FAIR TARGET.
- I'D EVEN TELL PAKISTAN'S CORRUPT PRO-ISLAMIST GOVERNMENT THAT IF THEY DON'T SEND IN ENOUGH FIREPWOER TO TAKE OUT THE BAD GUYS IN 2 MONTHS THAT WE'LL USE SEVERAL SMALL TACTICAL NUKES.
OF COURSE, OBAMA WILL PROBABLY ENDORSE KARZAI'S APPEASMENT.
