PALIN ON ABC WITH GIBSON

I just watched her on ABC with Gibson.

She was okay.

It will play better in the Heartland than in the Beltway and with the DC elites.

She doesn't have all the foreign policy jargon down yet - but most Americans don't either.

SURE: Most Americans don't have to, a vice president does. SHE WILL.

But it was obvious whose side she's on - something you can't say about Pelosi or Durbin and many others in the Democrat Party.

McCain is obviously much better on foreign policy than Palin -she's better on energy and other issues. They COMPLIMENT each other.

Does Palin know as much as Biden about foreign policy?

She knows less - but EVIDENTLY, all his "knowledge" wasn't good enough for him to back either the Gulf War in 1991, or the Surge.

Governors may never know as much about foreign policy as Senators, but that's NOT what makes a good foreign policy leader.

A good foreign policy leader is someone who will defend America and our allies and interests and VALUES. Like Governor Reagan - a governor with no foreign policy experience, whom - nevertheless - Americans chose over the sitting president. And a man who defeated the USSR. Not by defending the foreign policy guru status quo, but by defending our values and our allies.

WE'RE ELECTING LEADERS, NOT FOREIGN POLICY GURUS OR PROFESSORS OR POLICY WONKS.

THE FACT THAT SHE WAS FOR THE SURGE PROVES THAT SHE HAS BETTER FOREIGN POLICY JUDGMENT THAN EITHER OBAMA OR BIDEN.

AND ACCORDING TO OBAMA, JUDGMENT IS EVERYTHING. HIS CAMPAIGN SLOGAN IS "JUDGMENT TO LEAD" NOT "KNOWLEDGE TO LEAD".

OUR SUCCESS IN IRAQ PROVES OBAMA WAS WRONG, AND HIS ELECTION WOULD BE BAD FOR AMERICA.

BOTTOM-LINE: If Governor Sibelius was good enough for Obama - and Pawlenty also good enough for McCain, then Palin is good enough - even better.

Round up here.

BARACK OBAMA: "In a conference call with reporters, Obama said Clinton would continue the "Bush doctrine" of only speaking to leaders of rogue nations if they first meet conditions laid out by the United States."

Looks like Barack doesn't know what the Bush Doctrine is either!
