THERE'S NEWS/RUMORS THAT MCCAIN HAS ZEROED IN IN HIS VEEP PICK.
Maybe the candidate shouldn't make the pick by himself?
I think the nominees should each submit three veep names to the convention.
And let the convention delegates decide who the veep will be.
IT WILL CERTAINLY BOOST RATINGS.
McCain could submit Mitt and Rudy and Pawlenty or Ridge.
And then, their speeches to the convention - all about why McCain is the best candidate and why the GOP is better for the USA - will be a try-out.
Obama could submit Hillary, Richardson and... Sharpton - HA!! ONLY KIDDING.
But you get the idea.
What do you think?
Should the sole power of picking the next veep rest with the candidate for POTUS?
Should he submit four names - two speaking each of the first two nights?
WHAT DO YOU THINK?

McCain should designate his VP choice now. His campaign needs more energy and having his VP touring and getting free media will help. Further because of McCain's age, voters will correctly assume that this particular VP choice will have a greater chance of becoming President than is usually the case. Also choosing the VP now will diffuse the age issue in voter's minds--they will start to look at the team. I see either Romney or Pawlenty as the obvious choices. I favor Romney.
I heard on this morning's news that McCain might have a surprise announcement today.
Oh, and I think that our Founders would've like the "convention method." Remember how the Prez and the VP used to be chosen?
