The astounding rescue of the long held FARC hostages was accomplished via INFILTRATION AT THE HIGHEST LEVELS:

It probably took YEARS, but the Colombian Army was patient and waited for the right moment to act.

Don't think for a second that we haven't done the same with al Qaeda. At increasingly higher and higher levels.
Perhaps with Arabs and Algerians and Bosnians and Chechnyans and Afghans and Pakis - and even Uighurs - and so forth and so on etc etc etc.

If I was an al Qaeda biggie, then this FARC operation would make me very worried...
