TEDDY KENNEDY HAS ONE RULE FOR HIMSELF AND ANOTHER FOR OUR NATIONAL DEFENSE

Teddy got brain cancer.

He opted for a high risk surgery followed by chemo and radiation.

It's gonna be a tough slog.

It will require courage.

Basically, Teddy decided that his life was worth the risk and pain and suffering - THAT HE'D DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO TRY AND BEAT THE CANCER.

I wish he felt that way about our armed forces and the fight against al Qaeda.

Teddy thinks that democracy and liberty are not worth fighting for and that tyranny and terror should be appeased and retreated from. He has wanted us to retreat from Iraq since 2005.

If he recovers, I hope he uses his additional time to reflect a bit on other things in life that are worth fighting for.

And I don't mean liberal legislative fights or liberal wars - like the "war" on poverty, etc.

I mean real fighting. Like in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Which we are winning.

No thanks to Teddy.

If Sen. Kennedy has glioblastoma multiforme, the abolute worst kind of brain cancer, his time in this life will be quite short, no matter what extreme measures are taken. I suspect that he does have glioblastoma multiforme because he opted for such risky surgery. Nothing to lose.

Old book on glioblastoma multiforme and a good read: Death Be Not Proud by John Gunther.
