- FIRST, INDEPENDENTS AND DEMS HAVE HAD TOO MUCH TO SAY (BECAUSE OF THE OPEN PRIMARIES);
- AND SECOND, THE SKILL SET NEEDED TO WIN A PRIMARY - WHICH HAS DEVOLVED INTO NOTHING MORE THAN A GLAMOR SHOW - ARE NOT THE SAME A PRESIDENT NEEDS TO GOVERN WISELY AND WELL.
ONE CANDIDATE PROVES THIS BEST: HUCKABEE. HERE'S POWER LINE'S READ: Charm and evasion -- the Huckabee way
Mike Huckabee's emergence as a first-tier candidate had much to do with the charm he displayed during early debates and, presumably, on the campaign trail. But now that he's under fire, something that goes with first-tier territory, Huckabee is also proving himself to be a master of evasion.
IT'S A MULTI-PART DISSECTION OF HUCKSTERBEE - READ THEM ALL. I THINK THAT THE PRIMARIES ARE TOO FRONT-LOADED, AND THAT BECAUSE OF THIS THE CANDIDATES AREN'T TESTED ENOUGH. THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH CHARM AND EVASION.
- "CHARM AND EVASION" - THEY'RE GREAT SKILLS FOR A USED CAR SALESMAN, AND A POLITICIAN - BUT NOT A PRESIDENT.
- WHICH CANDIDATES HAVE THE SKILLS TO BE A GREAT PRESIDENT?
ONLY MITT AND RUDY.
