Did anyone pay any attention to the color of the ties the three leading characters were wearing at Annapolis? One is tempted to read some significance in it. Bush wearing the pale blue to show that he stands by Israel. (Meanwhile he may be pressuring the Israeli's to sellout...) Abbas wearing the pale blue to show that he accepts the existence of Israel. Olmert wearing the red of the palestinian 4-color red black green white. Why the red? Does it symbolize the blood shed by terror? or Olmert's willingness to make serious sacrifices. And if sacrifices are to be made who is to provide the lamb?
Before we celebrate the ethereal results of good intentions let us not forget the hundreds of thousands of extremists who refuse to be a part of this process.
RELIAPUNDIT ADDS: There are at least one million of these extremists in Gaza and the West Bank. They are facts on the ground - to use that famous phrase most often used to refer to the settlements.
FACT: Settlements can be moved. They were entirely from Sinai and Gaza. WHEN WILL THE ARABS REMOVE THEIR ANTISEMITISM? WHEN WILL THE ERADICATE JIHADISM?
Only when they do, can there be peace. Everything else up to that point is BS. The Arabs were supposed to stop teaching their jihadoistic jingoism; it's in previous agreements.
Let's not make any new ones until they fulfill the old ones.
