ANOTHER FEW REASONS NOT TO GET HYSTERICAL OVER PAKISTAN

Pakistan just had a return to military rule.

BIG DEAL.

They're not the only allies of ours under assault by the jihadists who are finding it tough to maintain their commitment to democratic rule.

Our longtime ally Thailand, recently had a coup of their own.

And Iraq and Afghanistan are both under assault by jihadists and many have said each needs a strongman - like Attaturk or Musharraf or Franco or Pinochet.

And both Pakistan and Thailand are MUCH more free than Saudi Arabia - and kingdom which is not free at all.

WE'VE GOT TO KEEP OUR EYES ON PAKISTAN. AND WATCH OUR BACKS: Like Saudi Arabia, the Pakistani ruling class is NOT entirely on our side.

But we have to make do with what we've got.

While keeping our eyes on the REAL ENEMIES: al Qaeda (and their affiliates) and Iran and it's stooges.

These two centers of jihadist hegemony are the two most destabilizing and anti-democratic forces in the world today.

Once we get rid of them we can put more pressure on the other thugs - like Putin and Chavez and Mugabe - and put more pressure on our unsavory allies.
