Mattel issued an apology to China and accepted the burden of blame for massive recalls of toys manufactured in China. Something is fishy here. Are we to believe that an experienced company like Mattel actually designed these toys to be dangerous? Did their specs call for the use of lead paint? Seems to me the massive recalls shamed the chinese, and perhaps someone pressured Mattel to shoulder the blame. Or maybe Mattel understands the situation better than we do.

THERE IS NOTHING FISHY HERE.
IT WAS MATTEL'S FAULT - ENTIRELYU.
AS A FORMER MANUFACTURER I KNOW THAT I HAVE FINAL SAY OVER WHAT I ACCEPOT BEFORE IT'S SHIPPED.
MATTEL DESIGNED THINGS POORLY, AND DID NOT USE CORRECT OVERSIGHT.
THE CONSUMERS SHOULD PUNISH MATTEL.
AND BE WARY OF THINGS MADE IN CHINA - A PLACE THAT'S FAR A WAY AND NEEDS A LOT OF SUPERVISION TO GET THINGS RIGHT.
