The gap between rich and poor in the UK is as wide as it has been for 40 years, the Joseph Rowntree Foundation warns.
The JRF found that households in already wealthy areas had become "disproportionately" richer compared with society as a whole.
But the social policy think tank said the number of "poor" households had risen over the past 15 years.
I BLAME BUSH. EXCEPT, ER... UM: TONY BLAIR AND THE SOCIALIST LABOUR PARTY HAVE BEEN RUNNING THE UK FOR THE LAST TEN YEARS.
SO WHAT GIVES!?
Maybe the wealth gap is a phony-baloney quotient? That's my guess. After all: the living standards for EVERYONE - RICH AND POOR - have steadily and greatly improved IN EVERY WAY!.
Look at it this way: A lower-class person today has a better standard of living that a rich person did five decades ago: better cars, appliances, A/C, cellphones, medicine... EVERYTHING. You get the idea.
SO... MAYBE WE SHOULD CUT THE CLASS WARFARE CRAP?!
But them... what would the left demagogue?
