UK'S NHS FAILS ON DIABETES CARE

DIABETES IS A CHRONIC DISEASE WHICH REQUIRES THE PATIENT TAKE CARE OF THEMSELVES DAILY. WITH THAT IN MIND READ THESE TWO NEWS-ITEMS:

VIEWLONDON:
Primary care trusts (PCTs) in England and Wales are failing to deliver the best service for diabetes patients, it has been claimed.

The Healthcare Commission says that only 11 per cent of trusts it assessed on diabetes treatment warranted a 'good' rating.

Almost nine out of ten of the 111 PCTs in question were rated either 'fair' or 'weak' on diabetes, with the health watchdog criticising bosses for failing to provide patients with sufficient support to manage their own condition.
The majority of NHS trusts are not giving people with diabetes enough help in managing the condition at home, a watchdog has warned.

The Healthcare Commission said most primary care trusts were offering basic diabetes care such as yearly check-ups.

But it warned that almost 130 out of more than 150 failed on home support.

Offering services to help patients manage their weight or plan an exercise regime are seen as crucial in reducing complications like heart problems.

As such, they could also save the NHS millions of pounds each year.
ALL THIS PROVES ONCE AGAIN THAT NATIONALIZED HEALTHCARE SUCKS, BIGTIME.

IF THE UK'S NHS CAN'T GET IT RIGHT, THEN WHY IN THE HECK SHOULD WE TRY IT HERE?!

IT MAKES NO SENSE. YET EVERY SINGLE DEMOCRAT CANDIDATE FOR THE POTUS WANTS TO "UNIVERSALIZE" HEALTHCARE.

DON'T FALL FOR IT.
