Huge slap on the back to US lower-house lawmakers, who this week voted to withhold funding from the malignant United Nations Human Rights Council for it's constant obsessive slamming of Israel and ignorance of the other glaring human rights abuses going on all around the planet. It's about time!
The action in the House of Representatives came just days after the US criticised the Geneva-based human rights panel for ending probes into Cuba and Belarus while singling out the Palestinian territories for permanent inquiry.
Democrats and Republicans broadly supported the House measure, which was added to the 2008 State Department budget that passed Friday by a vote of 241-178. The budget now goes to the Senate.
Aren't you glad your tax dollars will no longer be going to this particular unjust and odious expression of dhimmitude?
