Assuming the epilogue statement is true, my question is, "Who let the Al Qaida forces into Iraq?" I seem to remember some chickenhawk commander saying, Bring it on!" Maybe if he'd had a plan to stabilize the country, this soldier would be alive today.

1 - many al qaeda was there, as were other jihadiosts like abu nidal, and zarqawi. saddam cooperated with jihadists for many years before the invasion, helping them train and sending money to them.

anyway, the strategy was like this: let's let the enemy flock into iraq where we can better kill them than in afghanistan or europe.
it has worked. we have killed TENS OF THOUSANDS of jihadists who flocked into iraq who otherwise would not have just stayed gome and played parchisi.
the heroes in our anr,med forces who did this, and got killed or injured doing so are better informed and more noble than you.
