In his best-selling book, Testimony, Sarkozy portrays modern France as a failing society; arrogant, work-shy and perniciously resistant to change. In contrast, he holds Britain up as an example to be emulated: "London has become the seventh largest French city," he writes. "It ceaselessly sucks in thousands of young French people - including my own daughter - who find it easier to succeed there than at home. How shameful is it that a young person wanting to get on is obliged to leave?"SARKOZY IS THE ONLY CANDIDATE WHO DOESN'T THINK THAT "ANGLO-AMERICAN" IS A DIRTY WORD.
IF HE WINS - AND CAN ANGLO-AMERICANIZE/(HAYEK-REAGAN-THATCHERIZE) THE FRENCH ECONOMY, THEN FRANCE HAS A CHANCE TO SURVIVE. THEIR LAST CHANCE. I hope they listen Doctor Sarko and take their medicine.

You're right. He's their last hope. I hope he is sincere and not talking a good game like Chirac did long ago. I also hope he'll look toward America as an example.
