Suspected Muslim insurgents shot four people to death and wounded four soldiers assigned to protect teachers in attacks Wednesday in Thailand's restive south, police said. Another Buddhist man was shot dead while riding his motorcycle home in Rue So district of Narathiwat province, police said. In yet another incident in Yala, a 30-year-old Muslim rubber tapper was shot and killed by at least three assailants as he walked to work, said police Lt. Saravut Mahachai.
