Mark people as traitors based on whether they tear-up when they hear our National Anthem. Let's not just ask that they are moved (intestinally or otherwise) let's demand that they actually must tear-up, like you simple minded crybabies do when you hear our anthem.
...and "Star & Stripes" as well! What a perfect Rippup barometer- a song typically used by circuses to distract the audience when things went horribly wrong.
I have no doubt you wail like infants whenever you hear "Sweet Home Alabama" as well.

I find this ironic how the naysayers want to bash Bush, bash our country and the troops but we are still supposed to call them patriotic. I had an email discourse that I almost posted about and still may with a liberal who was just furious because I wouldn't bless him with the stamp of approval on being a patriot. They have the freedom to be in denial, against the war and they even have the polls behind them right now but that doesn't mean they get to be called patriots at the same time.

post modernism has convinced them that the West has been the chief source of evil in the world: genocide; third world poverty, and AGW. capitalism and industrialism have uplifted more people out of poverty than anything else in all of human history.

Stars & Stripes is one of the most fun pieces to ever play!
Technically, the music itself is not that hard, but it's very difficult to get it CLEAN. This particular recording has the best, clearest piccolo solo I've ever heard. The horns in the trio are perfect - simulataneously smooth and crisp. And I've played/heard this piece many, many times.
Maybe that's why Lefties hate it so. It doesn't fit into their customary bag of slop. I guess they would even hate the haunting beauty of something a little more European - say Mozart's Ave Verum Corpus or Verdi's Requiem. Or my fav of all - Elsa's Dream from Lohrengrin.
Music eases open the window to one's soul, that is if you have one.
