If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."These two quotes tell us everything we need to know about the sad state of the Democrat Party. The first guy was a hawk. The second guy sure sounds like someone disparaging US troops - something he's done before (1970, 2005); (in fact, Kerry's done it so much so I have to conclude it's at the core of his political career if not his inner being).

Kerry deprecates our military almost every time he opens up his mouth. Sure, he says he respects those who serve, but his tone then indicates the opposite.
You are right. He's dead consistent on this, and so are the rest of his supporters.
His non-apology made it worse and proved that he meant what he said. Because if he truly mispoke, then he'd be horrified at what he did say. He'd realize that he just slapped very dedicated people literally sacrificing their lives for this country, and he would have apologized. Instead, he thinks it's all about him.
