DHIMMI CARTER:
Former President Carter is urging northern Nevadans to elect his son, Jack, to the Senate to help combat a Bush administration he says has brought "international disgrace" to the country.
Sheesh. I remember Carter. I voted for the creep (back in the days when I was a Leftie more afraid of Reagan than the USSR!). Now I can clearly deduce that he was a TOTAL DISASTER as POTUS, and chiefly responsible for all the serious problems we face: Carter let the Shah fall and ushered in the Ayatollah - and the era of jihadoterror. Carter allowed the USSR to march into Afghanistan, and Central America. Carter told Americans to lower our expectations and wear sweaters. Carter was a freakin' failure who was wrong then and is wrong now.
And now he's arguing that we need to make changes in our political leadership in order to gain friends overseas! Sheesh! Doing the right thing is NEVER a popularity contest - you can't ever take a poll to determine what's the right thing to do - NOT if you have scruples and principles. And you certainly don't take polls overseas or at the UN. Not unless you're a stinking failure trying to remake your legacy. Like Carter - and Clinton. (MORE HERE AT MEMEORANDUM.)
9/30/06 ADDENDUM: All the photos are of private-citizen Carter and socialist tyrants he's gone out of his way to assist, (Arafat, Kim, Chavez and Fidel). He has never gone out of his way to assist the victims of tyranny. 9/30/06 UPDATE #2: VDH agrees about Carter.
