BBC:
I think these predictions are every bit a hysterically wrong as the ones Paul Ehrlich made in the late 1960's. That's when they predicted GLOBAL COOLING and MASS STARVATION from pollution. (Er um, the planet's got 2 billion more people now and more of 'em are living better and longer than ever before! Not thanks to socialism!)
I think that this hysterical talk about "man-made global warming" is nothing more than the demogogic ravings of a politically vapid and morally bankrupt Left.
I wish they'd just shut up already.
Rising concentrations of greenhouse gases may have more serious impacts than previously believed, a major new scientific report has said. The report, published by the UK government, says there is only a small chance of greenhouse gas emissions being kept below "dangerous" levels. It fears the Greenland ice sheet is likely to melt, leading sea levels to rise by seven metres over 1,000 years.Sheesh. Can their hyperbolic hysyteria get any more ridiculous!? I mean, really: can these predictions be any more accurate than predictions about the deficit ten years hence, or the weather next week!? And gee, somebody tell me where the effin proof is that the global warming we're measuring is man-made!? PLEASE: somebody show me proof that the global warming we're experiencing isn't natural - like the several phases of warming and cooling that the planet has undergone many MANY times before?
The poorest countries will be most vulnerable to these effects, it adds.
