Jerks like McCain and Kennedy, and schizo-wackos like BELGRAVIA DISPATCH and ANDREW SULLIVAN have been calling for Rumsfeld to resign. This is because Rummy is this term's whipping boy for the Loony Left and the pseudo-centrists -- the way AsKKKroft was during the first term.
I saw Rummy at Johns Hopkins SAIS today (on CSPAN); he was BRILLIANT. And he has done a masterful job at the DoD. God Bless Him.
Most of the attacks against him which have emanated from the Pentagon are from disgruntled generals pissed of because Rummy's transformation of the armed forces has eclipsed them and their vestigial war doctrines.
