The Iraqi people won, Bush won, the democratic process won, and the Dumbokrats lost.
The wonderful "democracy" we've brought to Iraq for only 300 or 400 billion dollars, 10's of thousands of American causalities, at least 100,000 Iraq causalities, a lawless executive branch in America and a very very divided America. I guess this is Georgie's way of making us all safe here in America.
Let's give King George a huge round of applause for giving one of his Axis' of Evil, Iran, a strong position politically in post election Iraq. HIP! HIP! HOORAY!
Shiite alliance taking lead

The preliminary returns pointed toward an Iraqi government that would be led for the next four years by a conservative Shiite religious alliance that has close ties to Iran, presiding over a country hardening into three mutually suspicious political blocs.

Mithal Alusi, a former Chalabi aide who ran as a candidate of an independent secular party, said he had ``direct'' information from polling centers ``that we had thousands of voters in the south. And my question now is where are those voters? Where are the numbers?
``Our democratic system is in danger,'' he said. ``Whoever has control is trying to steal the election.''

Sounds like the way we have elections run here in America in the 21st century. Looks like a Bush "mini me" in IRaq has learned how to rig the vote - but they had a good teacher for that didn't they?
