JEFFREY GOLDBERG IS A COWARD AND APOLOGIST FOR HAMAS

The Atlantic's Jeffrey Goldberg - the same one who attacked Pamela Geller and said not to support Israel at the time of the brush fire because the country "is rich", as though money is more important than human lives, has made a fool of himself again by opposing a ground invasion of Gaza:

The air campaign against Hamas rocket sites is understandable and defensible. A ground invasion will lead to misery and woe; to a total rupture with Egypt; to a further loss of legitimacy, and thus, deterrent capability -- and, at the end of the day, does anyone actually believe that Israel would be able to fully neutralize the Hamas/Islamic Jihad threat? These groups might need time to rebuild, but they would be rebuilt. And then what? Another ground invasion?

It's not hard to figure he views palestinians as something they're not - a race and a country - and doesn't want Israel to "occupy" Gaza anymore. And Israel's relations with Egypt were on the rocks  2 decades ago, so there's no point in doing trying to lead any with them now. Goldberg is only further cementing his reputation as an apologist for Islamofascism, and he can say whatever he likes but it's clear he cares less about Israeli human life than he does about warmongering.

LUDICROUS COMIC ABOUT PALESTINIAN ROCK THROWER AND JEWISH BASEBALL SCOUT

This sounds very insulting to the cortex: the leftist British-run Bleeding Cool tells of this new comic from Paradigm Studios called "The Rockthrower", and what's it about?

THE ROCKTHROWER is a dramatic comedy on the trials and tribulations of David Willis, a down and out baseball scout on his last leg. When Willis sees footage of a Palestinian/Israeli conflict, he is transfixed on a new potential pitching discovery — a Palestinian teen throwing rocks with a speed and accuracy that defies even the best pitchers on Major League Baseball teams. On a wild hunch, a wing and a prayer, Dave travels into unforeseen territory to make this kid a star. But will his own heritage of being Jewish and his dark past as a disgraced baseball player put this endeavor towards a path of failure before its even had a chance to succeed?

If the boy was throwing rocks at Israelis - it makes no difference whether it was military or civilian - then he was basically acting as jihadist and with mindsets like that he would not be deserving of a career as a baseball player. The way they speak of the baseball scout himself sounds like it simultaneously makes him out to look dreadful, which only adds insult to injury. And what makes a "palestinian" a better character to recruit to baseball than one who's written as coming from a Coptic or an Armenian background? Again, people of those backgrounds get no offer of recognition. A shame Will Eisner is no longer around, because maybe he could've tried out a project like that.

This new monstrosity bears all the signs of a moral equation and the subject is no laughing matter, making it all the more tasteless.

The IDF's pounding of Hamas' infrastructure in Gaza entered its fourth day Saturday, and is deemed as highly successful until this point.

The Hamas government headquarters, which housed Gaza "prime minister" Ismail Haniyeh's offices, were leveled to the ground. In addition, "security compounds, tunnels and electricity transformers" were hit, according to Al Jazeera. "Missiles also knocked out five electricity transformers, plunging more than 400,000 people into darkness, according to the Gaza electricity distribution company," the news network reported.

ARABS IN SINAI NOW LAUNCHING ROCKETS INTO ISRAEL

VIA DRUDGE:

Two major Israeli newspapers are reporting that rockets fired from Egypt have hit Israel.  

"Terrorists in the Sinai Peninsula launched rockets into Israel Friday night," reports the Jerusalem Post. "The rockets fell near an Israeli village on the southern border, causing some damage, but no injuries."
The Israeli daily Haaretz reports, "Rockets fired from direction of Egypt toward Eshkol Regional Council." 

It appears no damage was reported in connection with the rocket fire from Egypt. Earlier today, the Egyptian prime minister visited Gaza to express solidarity with the Palestinians there. 

This new front comes a day after a rocket landed near Tel Aviv and on the same day Israel's capital Jerusalem was the target of rocket fire. Those attacks were courtesy of Hamas in the Gaza Strip. 

"After Tel Aviv metropolitan area, capital under fire too: An air raid siren was sounded in Jerusalem and surrounding communities early Friday evening. 

IMO, THE TIME HAS COME:

"We deeply regret the necessity of today's decision, but we do not have the financial resources to weather an extended nationwide strike," said Gregory F. Rayburn, chief executive officer.

"Hostess Brands will move promptly to lay off most of its 18,500-member workforce and focus on selling its assets to the highest bidders."

I've seen a lot of the older, more classic Hawaii 5-0, which lasted 12 years (and after it ended, CBS sold some of the filming equipment to Universal so they could use it to shoot Magnum PI), and it looks like the new take on this famous police series set on the island state is proving itself worthy by producing a story where the stars combat Islamofascism. I'm very impressed at their courage to tackle a challenging issue. In that case, here's to hoping this new series will run at least another 12 years to match the older one!

FIXING THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE IS EASY

The NYTIMES opines today about the Electoral College - arguing it should be scrapped. They advocate that states should just allocate their votes to the winner of the national popular vote.

This would TRANSFORM our federal government into a national government and abrogate a key aspect of the federalism of the US Constitution.

We are the United STATES of America- meaning the STATES are meant to have power in the federal government and the Electoral College is a central to that. The US Senate USED TO BE another key aspect of federalism: Senators were originally elected by state legislatures, not popular vote. We ought to return to that to increase federalist nature of our federal government. But that would require REPEALING the 17th Amendment - and that's tough to do.

There's any EASY way to fix the Electoral College without an Amendment or the difficult Amendment process: all we have to do is EXPAND the Electoral College by 65 votes by expanding the House of representatives by 65 seats.

The House was frozen at 435 seats by statute. We can expand it by statute. The new seats would be allocated by population growth. Most of these seats would go to states whose populations have grown. The Red States. And they would be OPEN SEATS - at least in the first election - that means no incumbent to have a nearly guaranteed re-election.

Most state legislatures are GOP and most states that are growing are GOP, so this would be a good way to strengthen the GOP.

3 LIVES LOST IN KIRYAT MALACHI

250 rockets fired from Hamas in Gaza, and now, there have been casualties of jihad:

Gaza terrorists continued to fire rockets into southern Israel on Thursday morning killing three people and injuring two others in Kiryat Malachi. More than 200 rockets have been fired from Gaza into the South in the 24 hours after the IDF launched a campaign Wednesday to root out the terror infrastructure in the coastal territory, beginning with the targeted killing of Ahmed Jabari, the chief of Hamas's military wing.

MDA paramedics treated five wounded people at the site of the Kiryat Malachi attack, in which a rocket hit a four-story building. Three people were pronounced dead on the scene and two others were suffering moderate injuries, including a baby.

It is crystal clear that air raids are not enough to stop the terrorists; only a ground raid will help.

Update: Netanyahu has addressed the case concerning the baby who was injured by the attacks.
