MSNBC'S MONA ELTAHAWY VANDALIZED PAMELA GELLER'S PRO-ISRAEL ADS IN SUBWAY

Newsbusters (via Hot Air and Ace of Spades HQ) reports that Mona Eltahawy, the very same Egyptian-American journalist who spoke against discrimination against women in Egypt (but being a Muslim herself, probably didn't say Islam was connected) tried to spray paint ads by Pamela Geller in the NY subway, and also assaulted Pamela Hall, all the while claiming it's "free speech" to commit vandalism. She was arrested and charged with criminal acts. Geller's got more here and here:

I'd say Eltahawy's tossed any credibility she had on Egyptian issues out the window. She owes Geller an apology and money for defacing the ads, as do the thugs who put "racist" stickers over some of them too.

• AND WE'VE LOST MORE SOLDIERS IN AFGHANISTAN DURING OBAMA'S 4 YEARS THAN UNDER BUSH'S 8 YEARS.

record, just off the top of my head, is as follows: 

• Medicare is bankrupt and headed for collapse in just six or seven years.  

• Social Security is bankrupt and headed for collapse in the next 18 years.

• Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac went bust in 2008, taking with it the entire housing sector. 

• The Postal Service can't adjust to the digital age and is hemorrhaging cash like a giant version of Solyndra. 

But Obamacare will be the first government program of its size -- in fact, the biggest government program in world history -- to succeed? 

ANYONE WHO BELIEVES OBAMACARE CAN WORK OR WHO VOTES OBAMA IS A FREAKING LOON.

BARAK PROPOSES SURRENDERING LAND, PLO STILL REJECTS IT

Defense minister Ehud Barak has made defeatist statements at the National Securities Studies in Tel Aviv:

Under Barak's plan, first announced in an interview with Israel Hayom published on Tuesday, the settlement blocs of Gush Etzion, Maaleh Adumim and Ariel would remain intact. These blocs house some 90 percent of Judea and Samaria's Jewish population. Strategic areas (such as the Samarian hills overlooking Ben-Gurion International Airport) would similarly remain under Israeli control, and a long-term Israeli military presence in the Jordan Valley would be ensured. The remainder of the territory would be handed over to the Palestinians to establish a state. Dozens of small Jewish communities would have to be evacuated, or be given the choice of remaining under Palestinian Authority sovereignty for a trial period.

It's atrocious alright, but despite his dhimmitude, the PLO have shunned his proposals:

Arab leaders have rejected Defense Minister Ehud Barak’s proposal to turn over most of Judea and Samaria to the Palestinian Authority. [...]

Rejection of the plan by the Palestinian Authority was certain, and Likud Minister Dan Meridor noted that Barak's proposal was an attempt for political survival. The Defense Minister bolted the Labor Party earlier this year and formed his new Independence party, which will barely win enough votes to be represented in the next Knesset, according to polls.

Among PA leaders shooting down Barak’s plan was PLO executive committee member Wasel Abu Yousef, who told the Bethlehem-based Ma'an news agency, "It seems as if they're talking about a temporary state based on small separated areas whose valleys are controlled by Israel … they are avoiding talking about Jerusalem and the wall which is confiscating Palestinian lands and giving legitimacy to settlements.”

He charged that Barak is trying to obstruct PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’ effort to win recognition from the United Nations General Assembly, which probably will grant it non-member observer status.

Abu Yousef added that PA Arabs would reject the withdrawal plan.

They might actually reject it because it only increases the PLO's grasp over them and destroy whatever remains of freedom they have left, leaving sharia in its wake. In any case, Barak does not deserve to get any votes in upcoming elections.

There is more to the story of Nakoula Basseley Nakoula than what we are told by the media. Court documents revealthat Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, producer of the movie Innocence of Muslims, partnered in a scheme with Eiad Salameh, my first cousin, a Palestinian Muslim from Beit Sahour in the Palestinian district of Bethlehem.  

To prove my claim, I revealed Eiad Salameh long before this whole fiasco erupted—in2008 and the first real reportage of Eiad and Nakoula was revealed on September 14th, 2012. 

Now do I have your attention? 

The narrative that circulates the media fails to answer crucial questions behind the mystery of this film. For example, to date, no one has stepped forward or can confirm for certain that whoever holds an identity by the name of Nakoula Basseley Nakoula is that man’s true identity.  

In the Middle East, if a man by the name of Nakoula Basseley Nakoula indeed exists while being blamed for creating a mess of international proportions—which included the anger of over one billion Muslims—it would not be that difficult to find the entire family in Egypt, including brothers, cousins, aunts, siblings wife, wives, ex-wives, mistresses, pets and all.  

In the Middle East, no one can hide. Egypt is where the demonstrations that have taken place all over the Middle East and Asia were sparked. Yet, it cannot produce this man’s background? 

Besides, why would Nakoula, who claims to be a religious Coptic activist, have extensive connections with Eiad? My cousin hated Copts with a passion and is well-known in the Middle East as a master schemer, probably one of the best the Middle East has produced. He also has multiple contacts with terror networks.  

Eiad is from Beit Sahour, Bethlehem. He is a dubious individual who was well known in the Arab community as the main contact for obtaining authentic, legitimate identifications from passports to credit cards, under many nationalities. He then places these identifications into the hands of dubious characters whose names are not the names written on the passports.  

Eiad is a Muslim terror supporter and is not an Egyptian Copt. Both my cousin Eiad and whoever this man is who pretends to be Nakoula, had multiple, fraudulent identifications and the two connected for a decade in multiple scheming operations—the type that usually links to terrorism.

BARACK OBAMA AND HOLLYWOOD

Quite a bit has been written about  the preponderance of Left-Leaning-Liberals in Hollywood - as if this  purported imbalance might explain the apparently high support for Barack Obama among Hollywood personalities, musicians etcetera.  I believe there might be other factors involved that have little to do with politics.  Let's face it - how much do these actors and musicians really know about Politics?!?  Most of the successful ones can't  even wipe their own ass nose without the assistance of  agents, managers and PA's.

If we examine this situation through the lens of SELF-MONITORING we may better understand the Hollywood love affair with Barack Obama, and with the Left.  Self-monitoring refers to the individuals self consciousness of his/her own appearance and behaviour in social situations.   Someone who has a high level of self-monitoring is aware of the signals being sent out by others and is adept at adjusting their own behaviour to "fit in".  Generally, actors have a extremely high level of self-monitoring. Politicians generally have a high level of self-monitoring. I think you would agree that Barack Obama, whose skill at adjusting his message to please his audience  would make a chameleon  turn yellow, is a high level self-monitor.  Hence the strong affinity of Hollywood actors for the actor-in-chief.

The general tendency for high self-monitors to seek social conscensus also explains the statistically small number of people in the Hollywood community who are brave enough to question the accepted beliefs in the community.  You might notice that those who do are successful enough to take that chance...and they may have a lower level of self-monitoring.

ACTUALLY, VISITING THE GIRLS AT "THE VIEW" IS NO MORE RIDICULOUS THAN ADDRESSING THE UNGA

OBAMA IS AN EMBARRASSING JOKE. HIS APPEARANCE ON THE VIEW WAS SICKENING - AS WAS HIS ADDRESS TO THE UN.

WE NEED TO GET RID OF THIS MISERABLE FAILURE - AND GET RID IF THE UN, TOO.

ISRAELI COURT LETS OLMERT OFF WITH A LIGHT SENTENCE

This was actually predictable, but the court trying him for corruption's just given him a suspended sentence and a very small fine:

Former prime minister Ehud Olmert can return to politics before seven years despite his conviction for breach of trust, the Jerusalem District Court ruled Monday.

The court slapped a fine of less than $18,000 on him and gave him one-year suspended jail sentence but did not accept the prosecutor’s request that Olmert serve six months in community service.

The first Israeli Prime Minister ever to be convicted for a crime, he was convicted two months ago on a charge of breach of trust while he served as Industry, Trade and Labor Minister. He still faces charges of bribery in the Holyland apartment project, re-zoned for construction when he was mayor of Jerusalem.

Who cares? They've still let him off easy and given reason to wonder if they'll do the same with the bribery case. The nationalist movement's already panned the ruling, calling it toothless.

The prosecution is going to appeal the sentence:

The Prosecution has decided to appeal to the Supreme Court over the Jerusalem District Court's decision to acquit former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on charges of accepting at least $150,000 in cash from American businessman Moshe Talansky, Channel 2 News reported on Monday.

The decision was made hours after the Court imposed a light sentence on Olmert who was convicted of breach of trust: a fine of less than $18,000 and a one-year suspended jail sentence. The Court did not accept the prosecutor’s request that Olmert serve six months in community service.

According to Channel 2, after many discussions the Prosecution decided it would appeal the Court's decision on the Talansky affair. The prosecution will only appeal the Court’s legal interpretation of the facts and findings of the trial, the report said.

Meanwhile, Prosecution officials are still grappling with the question of whether to also appeal Olmert’s not guilty verdict on charges of “double billing” from a travel agency. In any case, Prosecution officials said that if the Supreme Court overturns the District Court’s ruling, they will also ask that a harsher sentence be imposed on Olmert.

It's clear the judges in the court were predisposed to ruling in Olmert's favor if they were only willing to give him a minor sentence and consider his crimes acceptable based on his being a leftist. If he were still a rightist, more so than he ostensibly used to be, chances are this would be a very different story.

ABU HAMZA WILL BE EXTRADITED TO THE US

The terrorist who promoted jihad in Afghanistan will finally be delivered to the US from Britain (Hat tip: National Review and Ace of Spades HQ):

Hamza, who lost both hands and an eye fighting the Soviet Union in Afghanistan, is charged in the US with 11 counts relating to the taking of 16 hostages in Yemen in 1998, advocating jihad in Afghanistan in 2001 and conspiring to establish a jihad training camp in Bly, Oregon in 2000–2001.

The American authorities first requested his extradition in 2004 but the process was almost immediately put on hold when Hamza was charged in the UK with 15 offences under the Terrorism Act, temporarily staying the US extradition process.

In 2006 he was found guilty on 11 charges, including inciting murder and race hate, and was jailed for seven years.

They better not let him keep the hooks though. There's no telling what kind of stabbing/cutting damage he could do with those.

The sentence he got in Britain was far too light, but now that he'll be in US custody, we can hope he'll get a much sterner one.

A tiny farming town in Michigan is rallying around a 16-year-old girl who was voted to be on a high school homecoming court as part of a prank. Local businesses are picking up the tab for her special night, while a neighbor started a Facebook support page. 

 "It’s been overwhelming," Bernice Kropp told NBC News on Monday. Her daughter, Whitney Kropp, is at the center of the controversy at West Branch’s Ogemaw Heights High School, north of Saginaw. 

Kropp said Whitney was humiliated when she learned Sept. 13 that her selection to the homecoming court had been part of a joke. She said students pointed at her in the hallways and laughed, and the boy who was picked with her withdrew. 

 "She was getting ridiculed in school and on Facebook," Kropp said. "But then," Kropp added, "other kids started coming up to her and saying, 'Whitney, don’t let them stop you from going to homecoming. You need to go ahead, you need to do it'." 

Kropp said her daughter, a sophomore, had been picked on before at school, but not to the extent of the peer vote that selects popular students to the court, which traditionally names a queen, king and princes and princesses from each class. The high school has about 800 students. "I thought I wasn't worthy. I was this big old joke," Whitney told The Detroit News. 

Dan Cwayna, the superintendent of the West Branch-Rose City School District, told NBC News he is aware of the situation. “I do not have much to add at this time,” he said, adding “I am hesitant to say anything out of privacy and concerns for the student involved.” Kropp described her daughter as quiet, polite and kind, rarely finding fault with peers and people. Kropp said Whitney has a date for the dance this Saturday, "and it’s her boyfriend who has been very quiet and supportive through all of this." 

"You want to protect your kid, and you feel angry and mad at what has happened, but at the same time the outpouring to help her has been beyond expected," Kropp said. Word spread quickly through the community of about 2,100 residents in West Branch. Resident Jamie Kline started a Facebook support page, gaining more than 4,000 likes in Michigan and nationwide.
