Virginia school district forbids any connection of Islam to 911

Proving the left's still a serious problem in USA schools, Virginia's system is desecrating the victims of 911 by forbidding any connection in descriptions of the attacks to the Religion of Peace:

An affluent Virginia school district located just miles from where Islamic terrorists crashed a plane into the Pentagon issued guidance for its teachers to not “associate” the devastating 9/11 attacks “with Islam or Muslims.”

Guidance from Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia told its teachers to be prepared to combat “anti-Muslim bias” in the classroom and to not connect the attacks with any religious motivation. The guidance, obtained by FOX News, was issued ahead of the 25th anniversary of the attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people.

Fairfax County is located outside Washington, D.C., and just miles away from where the 9/11 terrorists crashed a plane into the Pentagon, killing over 180 people. [...]

Evidence shows that the 19 terrorists behind the attacks were motivated by their adherence to Islam. Writings found from one of the hijackers show him praying for “guidance” and “help” and demonstrate that he believed he would be “entering paradise” after dying in the attacks. Another document found from the hijackers discussed the history of Islam and Muhammad waging war against non-Muslims. [...]

Reacting to the guidance, Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) said it should be “ripped up.”

“On the 25th anniversary, Democrats are trying to downplay the EVIL of 9/11. ISLAMIC TERRORISTS MURDERED 2,977 AMERICANS,” he posted on X. “That shouldn’t be controversial. It’s a damn fact. This ‘guide’ should be ripped up and thrown in the garbage, along with every other socialist rewrite of history.”

While Virginia officials cater to Islamic sensibilities, Texas recently moved to approve new curriculum standards that teach about the religious motivations behind 9/11 and the violent history surrounding Islam’s rise. The teaching would include the “Prophet Mohammed’s brutal military campaigns against Jewish and Christian tribes, the normalization of slavery, and the taking of female captives as harem slaves.”

Virginia is clearly one of the worst places to get an education today, much like New York. 911 Families should comment on serious concerns like this.

Correct. That CAIR played a part in the school scandal is also disturbing.

12-YEAR FBI VETERAN SAYS FDLE REPORT IS SERIOUSLY FLAWED

John D. Guandolo, a veteran FBI agent, has given his opinion on the FDLE's abysmal report on the Rifqa Bary case for the Center for Security Policy (Hat tip: Jihad Watch):

[Note: John D. Guandolo is a 12 ½ year veteran of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. At the request of the Center for Security Policy, he prepared an assessment of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement's (FDLE) investigation of the Ohio-based parents of former Muslim Rifqa Bary, the 17-year old apostate from Islam who has sought refuge in the state of Florida. The FDLE report is provided here, and is available as searchable text for the first time, below his analysis. The significant errors and omissions that Mr. Guandolo and other experts have found in this FDLE investigation show a failure in FDLE's professional responsibility in handling the Rifqa Bary case. Governor Crist and FDLE management need to get new investigators on the job, start over, and this time do it right. A life may be at stake due to FDLE negligence-- and willful blindness-- in conducting this investigation.]

Response to FDLE Investigative Report on Rifqa Bary Matter

Upon my review of the report filed by the FDLE regarding the Rifqa Bary Matter in Florida, I offer my professional opinion.

1. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Investigative Summary OR-73-1741 encapsulates the investigation into allegations made by Fathima Rifqa Bary (hereafter referred to as "Rifqa Bary") that she is or may be in physical danger from her father, Mohamed Bary, or others. Point 4 on page 2 of the report states Rifqa Bary believes her life to be in danger from an "honor killing" by her family or others, which she states is in accordance with Islamic Law. The report finds: "Ms. Bary's concern that she may be killed because of her conversion from Islam to Christianity remains a subjective and speculative concern..." and concludes there is no conspiracy to commit violence against her. The investigators in this matter offer this opinion void of any knowable facts. In fact, a due diligence review would reveal the existence of authoritative Islamic Law texts officially translated into English. This review would further reveal Islamic Law - which is real law - has requirements and rules as to how to deal with those who leave Islam [eg The Classic Manual of Islamic Sacred Law, "Umdat al-Salik" also known as "Reliance of the Traveller" - publicly available]. If it can be shown (1) there is a requirement in Islamic Law for killing Ms. Bary as a publicly declared apostate from Islam, (2) that her parents adhere to Islamic Law, and (3) that she did, in fact, leave Islam and convert to Christianity, then the FDLE has a professional responsibility to include these facts in this report, and investigate this matter fully. There is nothing subjective about this - these are all ascertainable facts. I would hope the Florida State's Attorney's Office has done their due diligence on this matter and is aware of this

2. Mr. Bary's comments to the Investigators claiming there is "absolutely not" any concept of Honor Killings under Islamic Law can also be comparatively and factually reviewed against Islamic Law. There are, in fact, rules and requirements as to how apostates should be handled within the context of Islamic Law, and these facts must be reviewed by FDLE if a professional and factual report is to be completed.

3. It was noted that the Executive Director of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) -Columbus (Ohio) and the Staff Attorney for CAIR were present during the interview of Mr. Bary by FDLE Investigators. Absent from the FDLE report was any mention that CAIR is a known Muslim Brotherhood entity and an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation (HLF) trial - the largest terrorism financing trial in U.S. history - revealing HLF as a Hamas/Muslim Brotherhood front in the United States. All defendants in this case were found guilty in November 2008 and are serving long prison terms. These facts about CAIR were testified to at trial, and accepted as legally true. They are irrefutable - the documents demonstrating these facts were stipulated to by the defense. The Muslim Brotherhood's (MB) creed is "Allah is our goal; the Messenger is our guide: the Koran is our constitution; Jihad is our means; and martyrdom in the way of Allah is our inspiration," and their stated objective in America is a "Civilization-Jihad" to destroy the United States from within, and the MB exists to implement Islamic Law here in the United States. All of these facts are relevant for two critical reasons. First, these material facts should be made known to the State Attorney's Office and any Judges involved in this case as a matter of course. Secondly, when representatives from an organization that is objectively known to be hostile towards to the United States and unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorism financing trial in U.S. history, are allowed to be present during a law enforcement interview of someone, it raises questions as to why they were allowed to be present at the interview at all. These facts further demand an objective look to determine if the Muslim Brotherhood itself has a position on Islamic Law and Apostasy. One of the MB's two stated objectives is to implement Islamic Law in North America (and across the globe), and it is known they call for adherence to Islamic Law wherever Muslim communities exist. The Classic Manual of Islamic Sacred Law: Reliance of the Traveller is approved as valid Islamic Law by the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT), a known Muslim Brotherhood entity, as proven in the HLF trial. In Reliance of the Traveller, Investigators will find specific legal doctrine on how apostates are to be treated under Islamic Law. Furthermore, the Muslim Brotherhood has a history of officially addressing the issue of Apostasy. In 1984, Ismail R. Al-Faruki , the Founder of IIIT, stated: "That is why Islamic Law has treated people who have converted out of Islam as political traitors...[Islam] must deal with the traitors when convicted after due process of law either with banishment, life imprisonment, or capital punishment...but once their conversion is proclaimed, they must be dealt with as traitors to the state." Apostasy is also specifically addressed in Peace and the Limits of War, published by IIIT and written by Louay Safi, the former Executive Director of IIIT, Malaysia, the Association of Muslim Social Scientists (a proven Muslim Brotherhood entity), and the Executive Director of the Islamic Society of North America's (ISNA) Leadership Development Council. ISNA was proven to be a Muslim Brotherhood entity and is also an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorism financing trial in U.S. history - HLF. The book is also approved by the Secretary General of ISNA. In it, Mr. Safi notes that individual apostates cannot be killed for a "quiet desertion of personal Islamic duties," but can be put to death as "just punishment" when the apostate deserts Islam publicly (p. 31).

4. This is a statement of facts regarding this matter:

* There are requirements in Islamic Law regarding someone who deserts Islam
* The Muslim Brotherhood's objective is the implementation of Islamic Law in the United States
* Rifqa Bary has left Islam and become a Christian
* Rifqa Bary has made statements to FDLE officials and others that her parents have threatened to kill her because she has left Islam
* The Bary's appear to be adherent to Islamic Law
* The Bary's appear at an interview with two Muslim Brotherhood representatives doing business as CAIR, a group known to be hostile towards the United States which is also an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorism financing trial in U.S. history
* The Muslim Brotherhood supports the killing of Muslims who publicly leave Islam

5. It is my professional opinion that sufficient Probable Cause exists to believe that Ms Bary's concerns for her personal safety are based in a realistic and factual understanding of her situation, and, therefore, a further criminal investigation is warranted.

This is a very good response to a bunch of so-called investigators who clearly are captives of political correctness of the worst kind. Guandolo is a good man, just like Dave Gaubatz, and this should stand proudly alongside the latter's FPM interview as something important for reading.

FLORIDA LAW ENFORCEMENT CONDUCTS FARCICAL INVESTIGATION IN BARY CASE

As Atlas Shrugs says here, the fix is in. The police who investigated the Rifqa Bary case in Florida are claiming there's "no credible threat" in the case, and did not even conduct a serious investigation of the Noor Mosque. One of the readers who's close to the Florida Security Council provided some important points:

1. Investigators failed to ask parents about the sexual molestation of Rifqa by her uncle, which her mother knew about, and said nothing about.

2. Investigators failed to ask parents about the threat to send Rifqa back to Sri Lanka. She believes she would be sent to an asylum for being an apostate. This was a primary motivating factor for Rifqa’s running away.

3. Investigators failed to interview the extensive list of witnesses given to them including friends of Rifqa’s who had knowledge of the fear she lived with on a daily basis.

4. Rifqa was interviewed by law enforcement and DCF for close to three hours without a GAL, attorney or foster parent present. She asked for someone to be made available to her and was turned down.

5. While there is no investigation into the subject of Honor killing or death for Apostates, the father is asked if this is what Islam believes. Also questioned on this issue is one Romin Iqbal, a staff attorney for CAIR Ohio, who was present at the Barys’ interview – along with Babak Darvish, Executive Director of the CAIR-Columbus.

6. Yet the Report states: “The Islamic Community was not investigated. An investigation into any person, religious or social organization without a specific criminal predicate is inappropriate.”

7. The Report fails to investigate the Noor Mosque and ignores the 35 pages of extensive documentation of “criminal predicate” filed by Rifqa’s attorney John Stemberger on the terrorist ties to the Noor Center in Columbus.

8. Rifqa stated it was members of the Noor Mosque who informed her parents about her conversion and pressured her parents to handle the matter.

It's clear that even in Florida, there are authorities who cannot be relied upon, as the earlier report noting CAIR's apparent involvement should signal.

Once again, I urge all who care to contact the Florida governor and FL Dept. of Children & Family to urge them to provide Rifqa with the defense she needs:

CAIR SUPERVISED POLICE INTERVIEW WITH BARY PARENTS

This is getting very disturbing and dismaying now. The Jawa Report's sources tell that unindicted co-conspirator in terror CAIR was supervising an interview the police did with Rifqa Bary's parents:

“FDLE/DCF Investigators were accompanied to the Bary residence by Sgt. John Hurst of the Columbus P.D. Child Abuse Squad. The residence is located in an apartment complex. Mr. Babak Darvish, Executive Director of the Council for American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), Columbus and Mr. Romin Iqbal, Staff Attorney for CAIR OHIO were present. Investigators interviewed Mr. Bary in a non-custodial setting.”

As noted, what makes this particularly angering is that

FDLE/DCF conducted a three and a half hour interrogation of Rifqa, the victim in this case, without her attorney and guardian ad litem being present. We reported on that revelation 10 days ago.

The contrast of treatment between her abusers, who have their interview overseen by the terrorist front organization, and Rifqa, who was interrogated by three adult males without her attorney and guardian present is appalling.

This is very grave, and requires some serious criticism, and the authorities who allowed this owe an apology.

CAIR Crows Over BHO

First thing on this morning's news, before I had even gotten down my first cup of coffee, one of the local news channels here welcomed CAIR's co-founder and Director Nihad Awad for a smarmy interview, in which the news anchor appeared thrilled to be graced with the presence of one of those Moslems to whom BHO has reached out at least three times since taking office last January 20 — most recently, yesterday in Turkey.

In this morning's interview, according to Nihad Awad, who participated in a 1993 Hamas meeting in the United States — a fact apparently unknown by the interviewer — BHO is an American President who understands the following: "American Muslims have suffered tremendously since 9/11." Perennial victimhood in the typical style of CAIR, and the news anchor nodded both solemnly and eagerly in agreement as she sucked down the Kool-aid in huge gulps.

I, on the other hand, nearly choked on my coffee....

CAIR FUNDS ISLAMIC ADS ON BUSES

Zombietime reports on a Islam promotion drive being funded by CAIR and ICNA, putting ads on buses, first in Ft. Lauderdale and now in San Francisco (Hat tip: Michelle Malkin).

Most peculiar is how no gay-lesbian groups have objected to them in SF, as Islam opposes their culture(?). If Christian and Judaist activists try to cure people suffering from homosexuality or ban gay marriage as has taken place in California, that often does have them in a tizzy. But here? So far, as Zombie reports, they've been silent. Where then do they stand?

I think a good response to the advertisements would be to follow the example of Martin Luther King and boycott companies that take these ads, or even to wear a protest shirt while riding on them.

CAIR FLUNKS OUT

And at taxpayers' expense, too.

The Ohio Department of Education (ODE) released their annual school report cards this week, and the results show that two taxpayer-financed Islamic charter schools operated by officials of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) have failed miserably yet again. But protected by powerful political connections, including Ohio Governor Ted Strickland and Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman, and apparently indifferent to their exploitation of the Somali children that comprise the vast majority of their students, the Islamic extremists running the operation appear to have no fear of losing their cash cows. In fact, Ohio educrats have renewed one school’s contract after five years of complete academic failure.

The two schools, International Academy and Westside Academy, are run by a group of local Islamic leaders, including CAIR national board vice chairman Ahmad Al-Akhras, CAIR-Columbus president and CAIR-Ohio board member Abukar Arman, and Islamic Society of Greater Columbus president and imam Mouhamed Tarazi (who serves as principal of one of the schools). At one time or another, all have served on the board of the local private Islamic school in Central Ohio, Sunrise Academy. [about which I recently posted at Infidel Bloggers Alliance and thereby created quite a stir in the comments section there]

...[S]ince International Academy opened, it has never met the state’s required “adequate yearly progress” standard and has never met more than two of the state indicators. Looking at the past three years of academic performance data, we find in four of the seven tested areas, test scores declined last year from the previous year.

The second school, Westside Academy, appears to be following in its older brother’s failing footsteps. Their state report card shows that they met state standards in one area — attendance. Across all grade levels and subjects, less than 20 percent of their students rated proficient or better. In one subject area, 3rd grade math, the school achieved zero percent proficiency....

CAIR KNOWS THE DIFFERENCE

Between the Democratic Party and the Republican Party, that is.

A divide is emerging on the presidential campaign trail over battling terrorists: how exactly to label the fight. While Democrats tend to talk about terrorism in general, Republicans increasingly pin the threat directly on Islam.

All the major Republican candidates regularly weave some form of the phrase "Islamic extremism" into their stump speeches. Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has taken the rhetoric to a new level, running a television advertisement about "this century's nightmare, jihadism."

Democratic candidates generally don't emphasize linking Islam and terrorism. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton talks more of "global terrorism," while Sen. Barack Obama refers to "stateless terrorism."

"In four Democratic debates, not a single Democratic candidate said the word 'Islamic terrorism,'" former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani said at a Republican debate....

And here's the kicker:

The interpretation of jihad as extremist and violent disturbs Nihad Awad, executive director of the Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations.

Nihad Awad goes on with some twisted logic:

He says Mr. Romney's use of "jihad" legitimizes claims by terrorists that they are fighting on behalf of Islam.

Um, excuse me, but it is the Koran and the Hadith which codify (i.e., legitimize) jihad.
