The allied forces during WW2 have to shoulder blame for not acting sooner

Benjamin Netanyahu made a crucial point about why the Holocaust happened:
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday slammed western powers during his speech on Holocaust Remembrance Day, saying that Allied powers knew of the atrocities happening to Jews in death camps and had they have acted on that knowledge they would have saved the lives of four million Jews and millions of others.

The prime minister cited newly released documents from the UN that show the Allied forces were aware of the extent of the Holocaust in 1942 – two and half years earlier than previously assumed.

It was a “chilling revelation,” Netanyahu said.

“If the powers in 1942 had acted against the death camps — and all that was needed was repeated bombing of the camps — had they acted then, they could have saved four million Jews and millions of other people,” he said at the official state Yom HaShoah ceremony at the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial in Jerusalem.

“When terrible crimes were being committed against the Jews, when our brothers and sisters were being sent to the furnaces,” he said, “the powers knew and did not act.”

According to Netanyahu, the Holocaust was the result of three elements coming together: a deep hatred of the Jews, global apathy to the horrors that occurred, and “the terrible weakness of our people in the Diaspora.”

Anti-Semitism had not disappeared, and neither was it likely to in the foreseeable future, he said. It was made worse by Iran and the Islamic State, he added. This was to be the only mention of the Islamic republic in his speech, a marked departure from previous years in which he would single out Iran several times.

Global indifference was still alive today too, Netanyahu said.
Yes, and that indifference is exactly what's turned several areas in Europe into hellholes, as self-hating European politicians turn against their own populations. It's considerable damage that's going to take ages to repair, and until then, the chances of another world war are very possible.

Here's more about Netanyahu giving a stern warning Islamofascist countries like Iran.

Emmanuel Macron attacked Jewish schools

Since we're talking about the French election, any Jews in France who overlook this disturbing news from several months ago, which did cause some anger, will be making a big mistake:
French presidential hopeful and former Economy Minister Emmanuel Macron sparked an uproar in the French Jewish community, following the publication of an interview earlier this month of an interview touching upon religious schools in France.

[...] Speaking with Marianne earlier this month, Macron warned of the influence of religion in French schools generally and decrying Jewish schools for emphasizing the Torah.

“It is very important to maintain neutrality in the public sector,” Macron said. “Religion cannot be present in school. But I hear few people becoming concerned by the consequences of this phenomenon, [with] more and more children being sent to religious schools which teach them to hate the Republic and teach mainly in Arabic, or,” Macron added, “in other places [Jewish schools] teach the Torah more than general studies.”
That kind of talk could easily suggest Jewish schools are no different than Muslim schools. Far from it, and most Jewish schools in France have some of the best students in various other subjects too. That Macron would make such a superficial claim only does more damage, and puts his sincerity further in doubt. Here's some of the French language interviews on Marianne and La Croix.

Since we're on the subject, the UK Telegraph says Macron would also be bad for Brexit:
Barring an unforeseen electoral earthquake, the centrist Emmanuel Macron now looks set fair to become the next president of France in two weeks’ time.

As the leader of one of the EU’s two most powerful nations, Mr Macron will have a key role in formulating the European Union’s attitude to Brexit when talks get underway after the UK’s General election on June 8.

Theresa May has been clear that she does not want the EU or the euro to unravel - a near-certainty were Marine Le Pen to win the Elysee Palace - but while a Macron presidency brings stability, the 39-year-old former banker has promised to drive a hard bargain with Britain.
Worse is the hard bargain he'll drive with his own country, since his positions on safety and security for the public are uncertain.

And, if it matters, what about his affair and marriage with a former teacher of his, Brigitte Trogneux, when he was 16 years old, at a time when he was still underage and she was in her late 30s? His defense for this was:
“Nobody would call it unusual if the age difference was reversed,” he said. “People find it difficult to accept something that is sincere and unique.”
No, he's missing the point. In the USA, if an older teacher has an affair with a student who's under 18, it's considered illegal, and she would've been arrested and charged for violating statutory laws. The same goes for if a male teacher did the same with an underage girl. So what's his point? What he's done is an embarrassment, even if it's nothing compared to his fishy policies on security for the country and combating terrorism, which he doesn't seem to have a clue what to do about.

Marine Le Pen makes it to 2nd round of French election, with Emmanuel Macron as rival

The results of the first round are in, with some results giving Le Pen nearly 4 percent more in results than Emmanuel Macron. I'll have to admit, it's a shame that Francois Fillon didn't make it, because Macron's proven himself untrustworthy already.

Yet Fillon, in his defeat, isn't making a good impression upon himself, if, according to the reports I've seen, he said he'd support Macron in the second round. Does Fillon actually believe in his own platform, or doesn't he? Yes, I think it's idiotic to just go and throw support behind somebody who's bound to be an extension of Hollande's own disastrous government.

For now, we have to hope Marine Le Pen can win the presidency on the second round, and that nobody will be fooled by Macron's own deceptions.
