This past week, Lebanon's anti-semites lashed out at their entry in the Miss Universe pageant because they hated a photo where she appeared along with Israel's Doron Matalon, and Sally Greige went on the defensive accusing Matalon of "photo-bombing" her. But all this has proven is that politics are soiling what's supposed to be a happy event, not a sad one.
Matalon took a solidarity picture with France's entry, Camille Cerf, holding up a sign for Je Suis Charlie. Now there's a real show of responsibility and friendship at a beauty pageant.

FIGHT AGAINST ANTI-SEMITISM STILL CONTINUES IN FRANCE
World Israel News reports that Muslim anti-semitism still plagues France, and the authorities have their hands full combating it. A planned attack in Lyon was fortunately thwarted, and four men have been arrested for aiding the jihadist at the kosher supermarket.

FRENCH COURT RULES GOVERNMENT CAN STRIP CITIZENSHIP FROM JIHADO-TERRORISTS
JPOST/REUTERS:
ON A MASSIVE SCALE IF NECESSARY.
AND IF NATURAL CITIZENS GET CAUGHT DOING THE SAME CRIMES,
THEN THEY NEED TO BE OFFERED A CHOICE:
JAIL FOR LIFE OR VOLUNTARY PERMANENT EXILE.
THEY CAN BE SENT TO NATION'S THAT ARE DOMINATED BY THE ISLAMISM THEY FAVOR.
France's top court ruled on Friday it was possible to strip the nationality of a Franco-Moroccan man naturalized as French who was convicted on terrorism charges, paving the way for more dual nationality jihadists to lose their passports. While Britain last year unveiled powers to strip suspected Islamist militants of their passports temporarily, France has so far stopped short of using the measure systematically even though hundreds of jihadists are joining Islamist groups in Iraq and Syria.
The move comes after President Francois Hollande's Socialist government unveiled a raft of new security measures weeks after two attacks in Paris by Islamist militants which killed 17 people and the three attackers. "We should not, in any case, deprive ourselves of lawful means to ensure our values are respected," Prime Minister Manuel Valls told journalists near Paris.WE IN THE WEST NEED TO DO THIS.
ON A MASSIVE SCALE IF NECESSARY.
AND IF NATURAL CITIZENS GET CAUGHT DOING THE SAME CRIMES,

OBAMA ADMINISTRATION RELEASED CONVICTED TERRORIST AL-MARRI
The Long War Journal (via Accuracy in Media) reports that Obama's administration released Ali Saleh al-Marri, a sleeper agent for al Qaeda, back to Qatar. Once again, incredible negligence and a huge disfavor to the USA has been performed by politicians with no sense of responsibility.

TOM FOWLER COMMENT ON CHARLIE HEBDO MASSACRE
Here's a tweet by cartoonist Fowler about the murders at Charlie Hebdo's offices:
I'd say he's putting it across better than Erik Larsen did. This is the only comment I could find that he posted about the case, and he's absolutely right that murder is far worse than satirical cartoons.
I didn't like charlie hebdo before the shootings. They deserved to be taken to task. But I like cartoonists being murdered less.

ERIK LARSEN ON THE CHARLIE HEBDO CARTOON MURDERS
Larsen was another comics writer/artist who commented on the case of the jihadists who murdered several Charlie Hebdo staff and 4 people in a kosher supermarket a few weeks ago in France, and he sure doesn't seem to grasp the situation well. Here's his list of tweets:
Here's where he makes his first mistake - comparing the tragedy of humans who murder to animals who can only walk on four legs and have no vocality, and thus aren't held to the same standards as humans are expected. Does he also think Denmark's cartoonists for Jyllands-Posten are scapegoats?
That's right, so why can't he unambiguously condemn the terrorists for their act of savagery, whose victims also included 4 Jewish men in a supermarket that very week by a man who attacked them just for being part of a race/ethnicity, which he doesn't seem to mention?
But he seems to suggest the cartoonists are the ones who have to bear the burden of responsibility, not the jihadists who committed the violent crime. Don't criminals also have to be held to any standards of accountability? It makes no difference whether they listen or not, they have to be told their barbarism is wrong, plain and simple.
No, we get the point, and it's a very unchallenging one. Even if cartoonist Crumb grasps the situation better than Larsen, the latter is still making very weak arguments.
Okay, this is going too far. If Simon, Kirby, Stan Lee and other writers during the Golden Age were attacked by nazi sympathisers during WW2, would he say responsibility is entirely on their shoulders, and not a single bit on those of the enemy? This comes very close to the kind of blame-the-victim tactics used to say a rape victim brought it on by wearing skimpy clothes and/or because she's beautiful. Some Muslim rapists have even defended their obscene acts by saying the victim wasn't wearing a headscarf, even though there's been Muslim women wearing burkas/niqabs who've also been attacked, both physically and sexually.
Oh, now he tells us? But then, how come he hadn't said it before about Charlie Hebdo's cartoonists? Or do just American artists like Simon & Kirby count? Interestingly, Larsen drew a Savage Dragon cover where he portrayed Osama as the filth he was:
But what are the odds he'll ever be willing to draw Mohammed? I guess they're close to zip.
Why should we be bothered? Zoroastrians certainly wouldn't - it reflects their take on life, that there's God and a Devil.
Even if conservatives were offended, the majority know better than to take things to extremes. Besides, Bush was no saint, and he did things that turned off some conservatives too.
The analogy with cars is poor too. Drivers come in many forms, and usually, if somebody gets hit by a car while wading into traffic, it's accidental on the driver's part. A hit-and-run attack, on the other hand, can be very deliberate, and this one definitely was. Seeley's right. And suppose Will Eisner got attacked over his last GN from 2004, The Plot, which was critical of Muslim anti-Semitism? Would he be the scapegoat, and not the jihadists?
And neither should the jihad at the kosher supermarket. But if Larsen doesn't think these tragedies should've taken place, why doesn't he say a word about how abominable the ideologies are that the jihadists are following? Why doesn't he say that a religion that supports murder, slavery, underaged marriage and other sex offenses is something no sane person should associate themselves with? His approach is super-cheap, and epically fails to tackle more challenging issues and facts.
After reading what R. Crumb thinks about the #CharlieHebdo situation I was reminded of a situation at the San Francisco Zoo...

A couple obnoxious kids were throwing things at a tiger in a cage and at some point it had enough--it jumped over the fence and killed them.

People seem to have a really tough time with analogies. And understanding pretty much anything from the responses I've gotten.

Of course the attack was terrible. Of course it was unwarranted. Of course it was extreme. I never said otherwise.

JIHADIST STABS 11 PEOPLE ON TEL AVIV BUS
Another knifing attack, this one in Tel Aviv, and the police thankfully stopped him from getting away:
A suspected terrorist stabbed at least nine people on the 40 bus line in Tel Aviv near the Maariv junction on Wednesday morning. It was thanks to some officers from the prison service that he was stopped. They can now take the monster straight to prison and put him in an isolated cell.
Two of the victims were seriously injured and several others suffered moderate injuries, Magen David Adom said. Others at the scene were treated for shock. [...]
The attacker fled on foot but was shot and neutralized by police and is being questioned. The assailant is a 23-year-old man from the West Bank city of Tulkarm, illegally residing in Israel, police said.

AU CONTRAIRE, MES AMIS: NO GO ZONES ARE REAL!
A 120-page research paper entitled "No-Go Zones in the French Republic: Myth or Reality?" documented dozens of French neighborhoods "where police and gendarmerie cannot enforce the Republican order or even enter without risking confrontation, projectiles, or even fatal shootings."
In October 2011, a 2,200-page report, "Banlieue de la République" (Suburbs of the Republic) found that Seine-Saint-Denis and other Parisian suburbs are becoming "separate Islamic societies" cut off from the French state and where Islamic Sharia law is rapidly displacing French civil law.
[...]
No-go zones are Muslim-dominated neighborhoods that are largely off limits to non-Muslims due to a variety of factors, including the lawlessness and insecurity that pervades a great number of these areas. Host-country authorities have effectively lost control over many no-go zones and are often unable or unwilling to provide even basic public aid, such as police, fire fighting and ambulance services, out of fear of being attacked by Muslim youth.
Muslim enclaves in European cities are also breeding grounds for Islamic radicalism and pose a significant threat to Western security.
Europe's no-go zones are the by-product of decades of multicultural policies that have encouraged Muslim immigrants to create parallel societies and remain segregated from — rather than become integrated into — their European host nations.
The problem of no-go zones is well documented, but multiculturalists and their politically correct supporters vehemently deny that they exist.
[...]
Despite such politically correct denials, Muslim no-go zones are a well-known fact of life in many parts of Europe.
What follows is the first in a multi-part series that will document the reality of Europe's no-go zones. The series begins by focusing on France and provides a brief compilation of just a few of the literally thousands of references to French no-go zones from academic, police, media and government sources that can easily be found on the Internet by doing a simple search on Google.
Fabrice Balanche, a well-known French Islam scholar who teaches at the University of Lyon, recently told Radio Télévision Suisse: "You have territories in France such as Roubaix, such as northern Marseille, where police will not step foot, where the authority of state is completely absent, where mini Islamic states have been formed."
French writer and political journalist Éric Zemmour recently told BFM TV: "There are places in France today, especially in the suburbs, where it is not really in France. Salafi Islamists are Islamizing some neighborhoods and some suburbs. In these neighborhoods, it's not France, it's an Islamic republic."RTWT!!!
Yemeni Presidential Palace Seized By Jihadists, Head of Security Calls It a "Coup"
Shia Houthi rebels in Yemen have taken the presidential palace in country's capital Sanaa, witnesses say.
Col Saleh al-Jamalani, commander of the force that guards President Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi, described it as a "coup".
President Hadi was reported not to be at the presidential palace, but his residence is another part of the city is also said to be under attack.
Yemen, a key US ally in the fight against al-Qaeda in the region, has seen unrest for months.
Houthi militias overran Sanaa in September after moving out of their northern Yemen stronghold, but the presidential complex in southern Sanaa had remained outside their control.
Col Jamalani told AP news agency that the rebels who swept into the complex had been helped by insiders and were looting arm depots in the palace grounds. The rebels abducted President Hadi's chief of staff, Ahmed Awad Bin Mubarak, on Saturday.
A few months ago, Obama was bragging about his success in Yemen.
A few weeks ago, the Charlie Hebdo offices were attacked by Al Qaeda fighters out of Yemen.
And now this.
Considering all his successes are America's failures, one starts to believe that has been his plan all along.

UH-OH: IMF LOWERS FORECAST FOR GLOBAL ECONOMIC GROWTH
BBC:
THE ECONOMIES IN BOTH EUROPE AND CHINA ARE SLOWING AND MORE DEPENDENT ON THE USA THAN EVER, AND OBAMA WANTS TO RAISE TAXES????
INSANE.
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has lowered its forecast for global economic growth for this year and next. The IMF now expects growth of 3.5% this year, compared with the previous estimate of 3.8% which it made in October. The growth forecast for 2016 has also been cut, to 3.7%.
The downgrade to the forecasts comes despite one major boost for the global economy - the sharp fall in oil prices, which is positive for most countries. The IMF expects that to be more than offset by negative factors, notably weaker investment. That in turn reflects diminished expectations about the growth prospects for many developed and emerging economies over the next few years. If business expects weaker growth, there is less opportunity to sell goods and services and so less incentive to invest.
THE ECONOMIES IN BOTH EUROPE AND CHINA ARE SLOWING AND MORE DEPENDENT ON THE USA THAN EVER, AND OBAMA WANTS TO RAISE TAXES????

PIPES DEFENDS EUROPE'S SO-CALLED "FAR RIGHT": THE FN; UKIP; DPP; PP; SD; SPP; AND THE PVV
DANIEL PIPES:
RTWT.
Sunday a week ago, the French government sponsored a solidarity rally featuring an array of foreign leaders and all domestic political parties joining together in a "sacred union" (a term recalling World War I) against the massacres at Charlie Hebdo magazine and the kosher market.
Make that all the political parties except one -- the National Front (NF) headed by Marine Le Pen, ostensibly excluded because it does not subscribe to "republican values." In reality, it was barred because, uniquely among French political parties, it opposes immigration; and other politicians fear that the NF gains in the aftermath of the massacres. Likewise, the government yesterday forbade a demonstration by the secularist Riposte Laïque organization that called for "Islamists out."
Although myself a classical liberal with libertarian tendencies, in the center of the Republican party in the United States, I welcome the strengthening of the National Front and many of the other parties vilified as being on the "far right." Here is why:
Granted, some European parties actually have a fascistic quality, in particular Golden Dawn in Greece and Jobbik in Hungary. But the others being maligned are in fact populist and insurgent, often with leftist economic programs, especially concerning the welfare state. They are creatively centrist, forming a novel combination that draws on right and left in both their policies and their supporters. They represent the healthy, normal, legitimate, and constructive response of a people under stress. Moreover, they address what's on many minds.
For example, in the case of the latest atrocities, Le Pen was, as usual, the only French leader boldly to come out and identify their cause: "We are fighting an ideology, that of Islamist fundamentalism." In contrast, President François Hollande blatantly lied: "Those who committed these acts, these fanatics, have nothing to do with the Muslim faith." (His prime minister, Manuel Valls, did a bit better: "We make war … against radical Islam.")
In addition to the NF in France, similar parties include the United Kingdom Independence Party, the Swiss People's Party, the Freedom Party of Austria, Alternative for Germany, the Danish People's Party, the Progress Party (Norway), the Sweden Democrats, the Finns Party, and – leading the pack – the Party for Freedom (Netherlands), founded by Geert Wilders, whom I consider to be Europe's most important politician.
Two concerns top their agendas: the European Union and Islamism. The EU arouses negative responses for a variety of reasons – the British want out, the Germans want to spend less on others, the Greeks want less austerity: all feel oppressed by the supra-national experiment that began modestly in 1951 as the European Coal and Steel Community. Only EU bureaucrats and the well-off, buffered from the realities of everyday life, argue that things are just fine.
On Islamism, the response across Europe is unified. From Spain to Norway, one hears about too many immigrants, too much accommodation, too many social pathologies, too much Islamic supremacism, too much Shari'a (Islamic law), and too much violence. Increasing numbers of Europeans fear Islamism, grieve the loss of their traditional culture, and worry about their children's future.
Legacy parties, the media, and academics engage in a campaign of denigration, marginalization, and ostracism against these parties to place them beyond the pale, as though they were the new Nazis. This is dangerous and futile. Dangerous because, denied acceptability and deference, members of these parties will be more likely to express themselves through extremism and violence. Futile because the numbers in this legion are inexorably on the rise. For example, the Sweden Democrats have doubled their support in each of the past four elections. Survey research finds Le Pen and Wilders leading the polls in their respective countries. As they continue to gain new adherents, many will before long have an important voice in European countries.THERE'S MORE.

THE HUGE SPECULATIVE BUBBLE IN CHINA MIGHT BE OVER.

Chinese equities plunged the most in six years, led by brokerages, after regulatory efforts to rein in record margin lending sparked concern that speculative traders will pull back from the world’s best-performing stock market. The Shanghai Composite Index sank 7.7 percent to 3,116.35 at the close, its steepest drop since June 2008. ...
... “China is trying to rein in over-bullishness in the stock market as moves have been exaggerated,” Pauline Dan, Hong Kong-based head of Greater China equities at Pictet Asset Management Ltd., said by phone. “Investors will have to wait and see until this volatility settles. They don’t have a fundamental reason to stay long since government policy is driving the market.”
The amount of shares purchased on margin has surged more than tenfold in the past two years to a record 1.1 trillion yuan ($179 billion), or about 3.5 percent of the nation’s market capitalization. ... NIGEL FARAGE ON NO-GO ZONES WITH MUSLIMS
The UKIP leader's commented on the case of no-go zones in France run by Islamofascists:
Most big French cities have areas which have become "no-go zones" which non-Muslims and even police cannot enter, Nigel Farage has said.Unfortunately, as London's Tower Hamlets and a few of Bradford's neighborhoods may be proving, they have. There's plenty more places around the UK that are undergoing this process, and no telling if anything will be done about it.
The Ukip leader said that Britain and European countries have suffered from "moral cowardice" and allowed "big ghettos" to develop.
He said: "It's happening right across Europe. We have got no-go zones in most of the big French cities. We've been turning a blind eye to preachers of hate that have been coming here from the Middle East and saying things for which the rest of us would be arrested.
"In parts of northern England we've seen the sexual grooming of under-age girls committed by Muslim men, in the majority, and for all of these things we are seeing the law not being applied equally, we're seeing the police forces not doing their job because we've suffered from moral cowardice.
"We have through mass immigration and through not checking the details of those people who have come to our countries, we have allowed big ghettos to develop and when it comes to confronting tough issues we're run a mile and that is why we're in the mess we're in, we've been led very badly."
Mr Farage said that he is "hoping and praying" that similar no-go zones do not develop in British cities.

One result of that program was the development and publication of a report on domestic terrorism. One part of the demands by the Muslim groups bringing the suit was that the report be scrubbed because it’s “discriminatory” toward Islam. And now, the city is actually considering it.

ISRAELI STRIKE INTO SYRIA KILLS HEZBOLLAH COMMANDER AND SON OF MOUGHNIYAH
The IAF conducted an air strike into Syria that yielded good results:
That said, a retiring IDF officer has warned that attacks in the Golan Heights are only a matter of time, and we may be forced to defend the country from that direction for real very soon.
An Israeli helicopter strike in Syria killed a commander from Lebanon's Hezbollah and the son of the group's late military leader Imad Moughniyah, sources close to Hezbollah said, in a major blow that could lead to reprisal attacks.Oh, the Hezbollah sure proved themselves alright - to be nothing more than a farce.
The strike hit a convoy carrying Jihad Moughniyah and other Hezbollah members including commander Abu Issa, in the Syrian province of Quneitra, near the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, Lebanese sources said, killing five Hezbollah members in all.
It comes just days after Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said frequent Israeli strikes in Syria were a major aggression, that the group was stronger than before and that Syria and its allies had the right to respond.
Shi'ite Muslim Hezbollah, which is backed by Iran and fought a 34-day war with Israel in 2006, has been fighting alongside President Bashar al-Assad's forces in Syria's four-year war.
That said, a retiring IDF officer has warned that attacks in the Golan Heights are only a matter of time, and we may be forced to defend the country from that direction for real very soon.
NASA BACKTRACKS ON WARMEST YEAR CLAIM
HOT AIR: The folks at NASA who declared the doomsday scenario have rather sheepishly admitted that under further scrutiny, they’re at least 38% sure it might have been true.
THERE WAS NO TEMPERATURE RECORD SET.The Nasa climate scientists who claimed 2014 set a new record for global warmth last night admitted they were only 38 per cent sure this was true…The claim made headlines around the world, but yesterday it emerged that GISS’s analysis – based on readings from more than 3,000 measuring stations worldwide – is subject to a margin of error. Nasa admits this means it is far from certain that 2014 set a record at all.Yet the Nasa press release failed to mention this, as well as the fact that the alleged ‘record’ amounted to an increase over 2010, the previous ‘warmest year’, of just two-hundredths of a degree – or 0.02C. The margin of error is said by scientists to be approximately 0.1C – several times as much.
DESPITE MORE "MAN-MADE CO2" THAN EVER.
