- 64 by radicalized Americans.
- 25 plotted radical muslim attacks were after 9/11 and under bush; they were all thwarted.
- 50 plotted radical muslim attacks since 2009.
Several were not thwarted but failed due to bad bomb-making.

The increased pace of attacks and number of successful attacks is directly related to the shutdown of Gitmo and the hampering of the NSA and Obama's "leading from behind" - his appeasement of the enemy.
The numbers prove we are less safe now than in 2008.
We can do better. we need better gun control, bomb-making control - to keep these weapons out of the hands of islamists; this means we need to use PROFILING.
And we need better intel - intel not changed to fit a policy of appeasement or to make political decision by politician look better than they really are (s 50 intel officers/whistle-blowers allege)..
And our nation needs a serious debate on how to do this, with everyone at the table - with the views of Trump and Rand Paul and and Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz and even Bernie Sanders all represented.
Bush succeeded in doing this, in forging a broad consensus.
Too bad Obama is unable or unwilling to do this.
It will probably have to wait until 2017.
