LIBERALS: "ALL WE NEED TO DO TO IMPROVE THE ECONOMY IS HAVE CITIZENS SEND MORE MONEY TO WASHINGTON SO POLITICIANS CAN SPEND IT"

IT AL COMES DOWN TO THIS:
  • Liberals think that the only way to get the economy going is if people spend less of their own hard-earned money (on things they want), and instead send their money to Washington DC so that the politicians there can spend it on things the politicians want.
  • Conservatives think that cutting government spending and cutting taxes -- so people that people can keep more of their own hard-earned money -- is what the economy needs. After all, the politicians in Washington DC ALREADY spend way more more than they take in and it hasn't improved the economy one bit.
Look at it this way: if Keynesian deficit spending - so-called "stimulus spending" - really could stimulate the economy then why hasn't the $5 TRILLION deficit we've racked up the last three years helped at all!? Golly gee whiz folks: between Bush and Obama we've doubled the size of the annual federal budget and increased the debt by $10 trillion and we're still mired in deep doo-doo!? Deficit spending doesn't work and it isn't good.

Politicians don't(and can't) spend YOUR money more wisely than you do - they never have and they never will. Government isn't the most efficient provider of any goods or services - it is was then we'd all be speaking Russian and flying Aeroflot. There's nothing that politicians, government bureaucrats or unionized government workers do better than a private company. So, we simply shouldn't be sending them more money and making them a bigger part of our economy.
  • The most effective way to increase revenues and decrease the deficit is to get the economy growing; there would be more taxpayers paying more taxes and revenues would increase at the same tax rates we have now.
  • The most effective way to get the economy growing is to DECREASE taxes and DECREASE regulations and DECREASE government spending.
It worked for Coolidge. Two-out-of-three worked for Reagan.

It can work again.
