There's more income inequality in the USA than fifty year ago - and the Left wants you to think that this is a BAD THING!
I am not poorer because Bill Gates and Steve Jobs and the GOOGLE kids made BILLLLLLLION$$$$$.
The fact that they made billions - and made thousands of other folks MILLIONAIRE$$$$$ has made my life better, not worse.
Most of the rich and super rich made their own money - and they made it by providing a good or a service that most people wanted and thought was a good deal.
These rich and super rich didn't get rich by taking more from me or a bigger slice of a finite pie. They got rich by making crap people wanted and that people felt made their lives better. And these things REALLY DID make our lives better.
Look at it this way, the owner/manager of an industrial factory may have made only 30 times the average pay of his line-worker 50 years ago - but they were both MUSH LESS WELL OFF THAT THE AVERAGE WORKER IS NOW! Look at it this way: a poor working class slob like me has a better life with more stuff today than a rich person did 50 years ago.
And one of the major reasons we live better is because of all the stuff the super rich made and got rich on.
We shouldn't be angry they're richer than us. They didn't STEAL OUR MONEY. They got it from everyone fair and square and in an VERY COMPETITIVE MARKETPLACE.
What REALLY makes life more miserable for the average working man and woman are all the LEFTIST policies and institutions: social security top among them.
YEAH: THAT'S RIGHT: SOCIAL SECURITY IS THE BIGGEST RIPOFF EVER.
The Left is find of saying the Bush Tax cuts were the biggest transfer of wealth from the working man to the rich of all time.
BULLSHIT! Tax cuts just let folks keep more OF THEIR OWN MONEY. THE MONEY THEY EARNED! It ain't a transfer of money at all when you keep your own! SHEESH!
Actually, Social Security is the biggest transfer of money from the working man of all time - and it isn't to the rich; it's to the government and the federal bureaucracy!
You see, a working man earning... let's say 50,000/year for 40 years ...pays 300,000 in taxes for SS and Medicare. And when he dies [HE WON'T HAVE COLLECTED WHAT HE OUT IN, SO], the balance all stays with the government. Not his heirs. And he won't ever collect it all. So instead of his kids or grandkids getting it, the bureaucracy gets it.
THAT'S A TRANSFER OF WEALTH, AND IT'S WHAT KEEPS OUR WORKING CLASS FOLKS POOR.
We need to PERSONALIZE Social Security so that the amount not re-collected by the payee goes to his heirs. This would end poverty in two generations.
That's right Social Security is one of the major reasons we still have poor working people in the USA. Instead of a family's provders being able to build their own capital base, the government takes it.
The Leftist institutions of Social Security and Medicare are actually very bad for poor working people.
The rich folks who pay in NEVER care one whit about collecting any of it. And the poor get screwed.
If we want to end poverty on this country we need to reform Social Security and Medicare, too.
And we have to ignore all the Leftist clap trap about income inequality.
