THE 2008 ELECTION: "WHO DO YOU TRUST?"

Or perhaps, "WHO CAN YOU TRUST?"

On a certain level, this best summarizes the entire contest between McCain and Obama.

On the one hand you have McCain: a man who withstood YEARS of physical torture because he would not sacrifice his principles and values for personal comfort; McCain - who took what he believed to be a principled position on amnesty for illegal immigrants despite the fact that it cost him a HUGE amount of GOP support. McCain's life and record provers he is a man of principle and a man of his word.

On the other hand you have Obama: a man who has flip-flopped on issues from FISA to Jerusalem to Campaign Finance, and who has tossed dear old friends under the bus when they became political liabilities; Obama - who, as soon as he finds his principles getting in the way of his short-term ambitions, tosses them aside. Obama's recent political life proves he is not a man of principle and his word is not good.

REPEAT:

The record shows that McCain has always stood for his principles - and continues to stand by his principles. Obama does not.

Let's look at this with regard to one little issue: GITMO. BOTH candidates say they want to close it. I OPPOSE THIS. But if I supported it there is only one candidate I could trust to do it: McCain.

ATTENTION ALL DEMOCRATS: If you can't trust Obama to close Gitmo, what can you trust him on? NOTHING.

People who vote for so obviously an untrustworthy candidate are worse than fools; they are dupes.

VOTE ACCORDINGLY.

ASIDE: WHO DO YOU TRUST was the name of a game show hosted by Johnny Carson. Here's a video with a few excerpts:
