Would the world really be a better place if all species which are now extinct were still extant?
Nope.
Dinosaurs would present some big problems. Ditto Mammoths wandering around North America.
Extinction is as much a part of nature as evolution and climate change.
Nature is neither static or pristine. Never has been. The current state of nature is not permanent and cannot be made so. Many new species - thousands - are discovered every year. Some go extinct. Climate change is natural. Nature is all about what Obama is always talking about: CHANGE.
So Lefties: get used to it. Accept that extinction and climate change are natural and stop blaming industry and capitalism and the free marketplace. And stop proposing idiotic things like Kyoto and the Endangered Species Act.

There is one change environmentalists would like to see come about in nature; for man to become extinct.
Talking sense into the leftists is akin to tearing down a mountain with a teaspoon. It is a daunting task, but it doesn't mean I'm going to give up trying to make it so.
