Breaking: IAF Targets Hizballah Bunker
Breaking news at CNN:
Warplanes target what the Israeli military says is a bunker for senior Hezbollah leaders in Beirut, CNN confirms.
UPDATE at 7/19/06 3:02:12 pm:
Israel targets Beirut bunker.
Israeli warplanes dropped bombs late Wednesday on a bunker in south Beirut where senior Hizbullah leaders were thought to be, the military said.
IDF officials told Ynet that dozens of Air Force fighter jets participated in the massive air strike on a south Beirut target, acting on IDF intelligence.
BTW: I was the ONLY blogger to predict a REALLY BIG EVENT in the ant-Hizb'Allah campaign for today, (I based my prediction on the expiration of Olmert's 72 hour ultimatum to Syria; others felt this ultimatum meant tht the IDF woul;d strike Syria - only I said it was meant to be passed along to Nasrallah and meant that the IDf would take off their gloves and target him and his comrades with big bombs), and this is probably it.
The IDF probably killed Nasrallah today. STAY TUNED. "cause if he is still alive the bombs will get eveb bigger tomorrow.
ASIDE: This campaign is most like the anti-Serb campaign waged by Wesley Clark, (the war ordered by Clinton witho9ut Congres or the UN's approval). The IDF is doing what NATO did to the Serbs - only to the tenth power.

UPDATE: MATSAV:
Update 1:43 AMIF THEY DIDN'T GET HIM WITH 23 TONS, THEN THEY WILL TRY AGAIN WITH 50.
This is from the JPost:
IAF fighter jets dropped over 20 tons in bombs late Wednesday night on a Hizbullah bunker, possibly the hiding place of the group's leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah, in the Burj al-Arjana refugee camp in southeast Beirut. It was still unclear who was in the bunker at the time and what their fate was, but IDF sources said the bunker was totally destroyed and that all that was left was a crater.
The IDF obtained intelligence information late Wednesday night that Hizbullah leaders possibly including Nasrallah had taken refuge inside the bunker. A wave of aircraft immediately took to the air and dropped 23 tons of explosives on the bunker.
IDF sources would not confirm that Nasrallah was in the bunker at the time, but said that high-ranking Hizbullah leaders were inside, and that it appeared that the attack was successful.
