Leo Dee undermines cause by saying he's got "no hatred" for terrorists who murdered daughters and wife

The British-Israeli rabbi whose 2 daughters and wife were tragically murdered earlier this month by jihadists around the Jordan Valley has made a very bizarre and undermining statement about the jihadists themselves:

The Israeli-British rabbi whose wife and two daughters were killed this month in a terror shooting on a West Bank road said he has “no hatred” for the people who gunned down his family, in comments aired on Sunday.

Lucy Dee, 48, and her daughters Maia Dee, 20, and Rina Dee, 15, were killed after Palestinian terrorists opened fire at the car they were in as they drove through the northern Jordan Valley on April 7. The daughters were declared dead at the scene, while Lucy was rushed to a hospital in critical condition but died three days later.

The suspects remain on the loose despite promises from officials that they will be found and brought to justice.

“I have no hatred towards the… terrorists,” Leo Dee told Channel 12. “I obviously would like them to be captured and to be treated with full justice that they deserve, but mostly to stop them from doing anything like this ever again.”

“I’ve had some Palestinian friends of mine from neighboring villages who have left messages in tears, because I’ve known them for many years, they’ve known Lucy, they’ve known the girls,” Leo said, explaining how he developed friendships with builders and gardeners whom he employed to work on his home.

“We’ve spent a lot of time together. Because I never got any guards, I don’t have a gun, and I would spend the day working from home while they came, and we would end up chatting, having coffee, talking about their kids, talking about our kids. We trusted them, I trusted them completely with the family. I still do, more so than any other people I know.

“When I spoke to one of my friends recently, he said ‘Look, we love you,'” Dee said, adding that he believed a majority of Palestinians were “decent people.”

Yikes...and I thought it was bad enough when Linor Abargil said she didn't think rapists were evil people. This is a very defeatist thing to say, and notice how Dee's one of a considerable number of people even here in Israel who doesn't seem to have the guts to clearly denounce Islam, if all's been told and indeed he hasn't? This is very sad. Whatever one may think of "palestinians", what does Dee and others like him think of adherents to the Religion of Peace, along with said ideology itself? He's making a terrible mistake, especially after sources like the New York Times downplayed the seriousness of the issue, along with the UK government themselves. The naive approach he's taking, which likely buys into the Islamic concept of taqqiya (deception), makes it difficult to solve these issues.

What Dee should really be doing is condemning any and all dhimmis who minimize the murder of his family, including those who substitute the word "murder" with "killed". That kind of disturbing mentality and MSM mandates are exactly what enable these tragedies to occur. It's absolutely awful these murders occur. But it's also awful when relatives of the murdered women take the lenient positions Dee is. That really hurts the battle against Islamofascism.

Britain's continued funding of the PLO will not stop evil from reigning

Melanie Phillips makes a vital point regarding the UK government's continued backing of the PLO's Mahmoud Abbas:

For many in the west, it has long been an article of faith that peace will only come to the Middle East when the Palestinians gain a state of their own.

Along with the EU and America, successive British governments have promoted a “two-state solution” to the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Arabs.

Central to this thinking is a key distinction. Hamas is considered beyond the pale as Islamist extremists who throw gay Palestinians off rooftops to their death and make no bones about their aim to destroy Israel. But the Palestinian Authority headed by Mahmoud Abbas is deemed “moderate” and entitled to run a future state of Palestine that would be part of the community of nations.

The JC has now exposed this faith in the PA as an excruciating misjudgment.

For while Britain has been investing millions in it in the arrogant belief that it can teach it western values, Palestinian officers have been murdering and torturing dissenters who campaign for their human rights.

Last year Nizar Banat, a leading Palestinian campaigner for freedom and democracy, was dragged from his home in Hebron by a squad of 14 PA officers and beaten with a hammer so severely he effectively drowned in his own blood. His murder triggered weeks of protests that were in turn violently crushed by the PA security forces.

Now the JC has revealed that for the past 14 years a “British Support Team” under the command of a brigadier has been training PA officers in human rights — including “inclusivity and gender awareness”.

The JC investigation shows that, in PA-controlled territory, torture by these forces is routine and systemic. People are arrested for their political views; lawyers are beaten; women are sexually assaulted.

A senior PA official said torture was justified to gather intelligence and that Banat deserved to be killed. Yet the British are solemnly teaching such people “inclusivity and gender awareness”. Maybe someone should teach the British “humility and self-awareness”.

It sounds, most unfortunately, like the UK sources working on this supposed inclusivity are making the mistake of resorting to "wokeness". And that's exactly why it'll only fail at the end, and all the while, the PLO will continue receiving funding they don't deserve. It's an absolute waste of the UK public's tax pounds to boot.

BRITISH CONCERN OVER ARREST WARRANTS AGAINST ISRAELI POLITCIANS IS NOT ALTRUISTIC

Melanie Phillips writes about the recent subject of Israeli politicians who've been threatened with arrest warrants in the UK, and tells why they're really concerned about the one issued against Tzipi Livni:

In all that time, the government has sat on its hands. Only now that Tzipi Livni has had to cancel her trip to London following an attempt to arrest her over her part in Operation Cast Lead has the British government said it will change the law, probably by making the Attorney-General the gatekeeper for any such arrest attempts.

Why is it only now that the balloon has gone up? One reason is that this is the first time the Israeli government has responded with unbridled fury at Britain. But also, for British diplomats, Livni is ‘one of us’. That is because, since she is one of the most appeasement-minded politicians Israel has ever produced, it is considered an affront to try to arrest her, of all people, for her part in warfare.

‘Livni supports a two-state solution. This attempt to secure her arrest has really set alarm bells ringing,’ a horrified senior Foreign Office source reportedly told the Guardian. The unpleasant implication is that the Foreign Office cares far less about attempts to arrest Israeli politicians with more hawkish views.

This telling remark shows how the Foreign Office circles the wagons when one of its ideological soul-mates is under attack — and is wholly unable to see how the amoral and unprincipled view of the world it believes it shares with Livni may actually be contributing to the problem.

While the double-standard the British could have even against Israeli leftists is still quite possible, this nevertheless makes a lot of sense that their reaction is not for altruistic reasons. No wonder the idea of making the UK attorney general "gatekeeper" for these arrest warrants actually sounds fishy.

Speaking of Livni, she has just turned down an offer to join the government, which I assume Benjamin Netanyahu made because of the dangers the country is now facing like Iran's nuclear threat, and that's why unity is now needed. It doesn't really matter, because she is so stupid, there's little chance she could make any positive impact.

DID A BRITISH COURT ISSUE AN ARREST WARRANT FOR TZIPI LIVNI?

If this is so, it shows that even leftists as pretentious as her are not immune to the hatemongering the UK already allows to thrive in that country. The foreign secretary, David Miliband, has apologized to her about this, but it's too late, as the outrage is only just beginning. According to this article, there are quite a few Israeli ministers who could face arrest in England if they make the mistake of going there; very disturbing information. There are demands already that the UK change the laws to make that less possible, but there's no telling if England will really make an effort to fix that.

EHUD BARAK ALMOST GOT ARRESTED IN ENGLAND

Israeli defense minister Ehud Barak almost got thrown in the clink while travelling to Britain, because of Arab families hostile to Israel exploiting Britain's legal loopholes that are similar to their allowing libel tourism suits to take place there. Luckily, the UK court rejected the petition they gave because of Barak's diplomatic immunity.

However, as Phyllis Chesler rightfully worries, this could signal the possibility that those Israelis who don't have diplomatic immunity could be less fortunate if they travel to countries like Britain. And she's right, this is a serious concern, that countries like Britain, if anyplace, will do to Israeli soldiers and other officials with lesser status what the Hamas did to Gilad Shalit - make them prisoners of a political form of terror.

I'll say for now that this is one more reason why Britain does not deserve your hard-earned money if you're thinking of going on a travel tour. Some serious tasking is going to have to be done in order to speak against this atrocious violation of rights that Britain is committing, and make it clear that they're going to have to cut it out.

One more question this brings up: will Ehud Barak finally start to realize that the palestinians are not worth his time in pandering to, and would only do him harm? We can only hope, but not be sure.

BRITAIN STOPS ARMS EXPORTS TO ISRAEL

Not that it should really matter, because Israel shouldn't be relying too heavily on foreign aid from countries like the UK, but that's what the blighty just did because they don't like Israel's right to defend itself in the Gaza conflict:

Britain became the first country to halt arms exports to Israel in response to its Gaza offensive, rescinding five export licences for parts used on warships which were deployed in the conflict.

An Israeli official said that Britain had reviewed 182 licenses before deciding to revoke the five in connection with the Saar 4.5 class corvette. The British Embassy in Tel Aviv confirmed the move but said that it did not constitute an embargo on Israel.

"There are no security agreements between the UK and Israel," an embassy spokesman said. "UK policy remains to assess all export licences to Israel against the consolidated EU and national arms export licensing criteria.”

After the 23-day offensive six months ago, a number of MPs called on Gordon Brown to impose a complete arms embargo on Israel. A petition of more than 38,000 signatures calling for a ban was also posted on the Prime Minister’s website.

I've got a feeling that even if the Tories are elected to office next year, this may not change. But as I said, I don't think Israel should rely on Britain's arms services anyway, because the time has come to start developing weapons on their own.

If anything, this shows how the UK's anti-Israel hostility has really reached a new low.

UK TIMES OPPOSES "NEW TOWN" IN ISRAEL

The Times is predictably turning to more Israel-bashing, and seeking to undermine Israeli sovereignty. They say:

The sign in big, red Hebrew letters reads “Welcome to Mevasseret Adumim, the Harbinger of the Hills”. A three-lane road with roundabouts leads up the hill to a police station and street lamps line the flyover that links the new town to neighbouring Ma'aleh Adumim, one of the largest Jewish settlements in Israel.

There are no houses, cars or people in Mevasseret Adumim: it is a town laid out, waiting to be built. That is because international pressure has so far prevented construction from going ahead. The area is the last piece of open land linking Arab East Jerusalem to the West Bank and critics said that to develop it would bury the very notion of a two-state solution to the Middle East crisis.

According to reports in the Israeli media, the area has been earmarked for development under a secret accord between Binyamin Netanyahu, the new, conservative Israeli Prime Minister, and his ultra-nationalist Foreign Minister, Avigdor Lieberman.

Better known under its old British mandate name, E1, it is the most controversial development project in the region, one that diplomats and observers warn will trigger the collapse of the weakened Palestinian Authority, or drive it into armed resistance again.

I wouldn't be surprised if what they speak of is actually just another neighborhood in the making, either for Maaleh Adumim itself or the one that's supposed to be built to connect Jerusalem and that area, and isn't exactly a new town. But the Times would rather their subjects in Britain think otherwise and fan more flames of hate against Israel. Notice how they also call Netanyahu a conservative and speak of a "secret deal" between him and Lieberman as a way of inciting against them.

The purpose of this is simply to help provide Jerusalem and Maaleh Adumim with special safety elements, and part of the city's own natural growth process. And it's been in planning for some time already. So message to the Times: shut up.

BRITAIN WILL HOST HEZBOLLAH SPOKESMAN

Absurd Britannia continues its spectacle of the same, as they legitimize the Hezbollah:

(IsraelNN.com) British officials granted senior Hizbullah member Ibrahim Moussawi a visa to visit the country on Thursday. The visa will allow Moussawi to lecture at a conference on political Islam. Moussawi plans to speak at the University of London on March 25.

The British government granted Moussawi a permit to visit Britain in 2008 as well. During that visit he appeared at events sponsored by the British group Stop the War.

Moussawi, who has been quoted as calling Jews “a lesion of the forehead of history” and justifying attacks on Israeli civilians, insists that he is not an anti-Semite. “I'm a bridge-builder and I've always been an advocate of dialog and discussion,” he claimed in response to criticism of an earlier visit.

If you're planning on taking a trip to England for tourism, cancel it immediately! The less money given to them, the better, as they'll likely exploit even that for funding these disgusting people who even have the gall to deny where they really stand.

BBC CAN BE COUNTED ON TO DISTORT MORE THAN ENOUGH OF THE FACTS

Specifically, this is about the bulldozer attack yesterday. Honest Reporting's Backspin blog (Hat tip: Cosmic X) features some screenshot examples of how the Beeb lied about the bus, for example: they said it was an empty bus, when as it so happens, there were schoolgirls in it. In the third picture, they omitted the bus part altogether.

And there's little chance that we can ever expect them to improve. I won't be surprised if tons of people in Britain foolishly rely more on the MSM than they do in the US, and that's why they're able to get away with much of it.

RON PROSOR: BRITAIN'S A HOTBED OF ANTISEMITISM

Ron Prosor, a former Israeli ambassador to Britain, has written in the Telegraph about how the UK has become a hotbed of anti-Israeli sentiment.

THANK GOODNESS: RED KEN LIVINGSTONE IS OUSTED FROM MAYOR'S OFFICE

London's creepy commie mayor, Red Ken Livingstone, has thankfully been voted out of office (Hat tip: Michelle Malkin). His successor is Boris Johnson.

It's fortunate, because this awful, disgusting man has embraced the PLO, Chavez, the Islamofascists of London and just about any other fascist/communist entity possible. I don't know if Johnson is any better, but that Livingstone is out of office is most definitely fortunate, because he was one of the worst politicians to be found in England. Good riddance.

UK BALKS AT TOURISM AD FOR QUMRAN CAVES

Why do we do business with Britain then? Here's their latest dirty deed and what it caused:

The Tourism Ministry has been forced to change an advertising campaign in Britain in which the Qumran caves were pictured, after the UK's Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) ruled that it did not consider the site part of Israel, it was reported Saturday.

The ASA also reprimanded the Tourism Ministry for not responding to its numerous appeals on the matter.

The Tourism Ministry's representative in Britain, Uri Gafni, told Israel Radio that the ministry had no intention whatsoever of claiming that the Qumran caves were in Israeli territory.

He said the picture had now been swapped with an image of Masada.

The Qumran caves are located south of Jericho. It is the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered by a Beduin shepherd looking for a lost goat in 1947.

Honestly, I don't think we need any tourist business with Britain if they're going to be so continuously negative.

BRITAIN: THE EUROPEAN HEADQUARTERS FOR ANTI-SEMITISM

A researcher in the Jerusalem Post tells what Britain has been like for as many as 1000 years now:

Britain has become the epicenter for anti-Semitic trends in Europe as traditional, age-old anti-Semitism in a country whose literature and cultural tradition were "drenched" in anti-Semitism has developed into a contemporary mix of anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism, an Israeli historian said Monday.

The problem of anti-Semitism in Britain is exacerbated by a growing and increasingly radical Muslim population, the weak approach taken by a timid British Jewish leadership, and the detachment of the British from their Christian roots, said Hebrew University historian Prof. Robert S. Wistrich in a lecture on British anti-Semitism at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs.

"Britain has become the center point for the meeting of anti-Semitic trends in Europe," Wistrich said.

In a wide-ranging two-hour address, the Cambridge University-educated historian, who has just completed a book on global anti-Semitism, traced the roots of British anti-Semitism to its history, culture and literature going back to medieval times.

"Anti-Semitism in Great Britain is at least a millennial phenomenon and has been around for 1000 years of recorded history," Wistrich said.

He noted that the expulsion of all Jews from Britain in 1290 by King Edward I following years of anti-Semitic violence was the first major expulsion of any Jewish community in Europe.

Jews were banned from Britain until 1656, when Oliver Cromwell, who had overthrown the monarchy, authorized their return.

Wistrich noted that a Jewish presence was not required in Britain to produce potent and resonating anti-Semitic stereotypes in classic English literature, including in works by Chaucer, Marlowe, Shakespeare, Dickens, Trollope, T. S. Elliot, and D. H. Lawrence, which he said continues to impact British society hundreds of years later today.

"The authors are conveying and transmitting to a future generation an embedded anti-Semitism whose influence is impossible to underestimate," Wistrich said.

"English literature and culture is in fact drenched in anti-Semitism," he said, adding that British intellectuals fail to understand the long-term impact of this phenomenon.

I tend to think of both The Merchant of Venice's depiction of Shylock and Oliver Twist's depiction of Fagin as some of the worst examples. The latter example is definitely scummy.

During World War II, the British refusal to rescue the Jews of Europe and their decision to close the gates of Palestine stemmed not only from a policy of realpolitik but by anti-Semitic sentiments, he said.

"Nothing was to be construed as fighting a Jewish war," he said.

He noted that the famed British wartime leader, Winston Churchill's, record on Zionism was "far from brilliant, rhetoric aside" noting that he promoted the infamous White Paper, which severely limited Jews from immigrating to Palestine during World War II.

You know, while I personally don't think Churchill was the worst, I'm still going to have to start reevaluating my opinions on him. Hmm.

The recent controversial contemporary theory of a Jewish lobby controlling American government policies in the wake of the 2003 Iraq War actually had its antecedents a century earlier, and dated back to the infamous anti-Semitic forgery The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, while anti-Israel activities on British campuses was going "strong blast" in the 1970s, he said.

In his address, Wistrich said that today's British media had taken an almost universally anti-Israel bias, especially but not exclusively on the BBC, with context removed from description of Israeli military actions, and Islamic jihadist activity such as suicide bombing never connected to ideology.

"Under no circumstance will a Palestinian act of terrorism be referred to as terrorist, They are militants similar to the floor-shop dispute in Liverpool whose workers have decided to go on strike," he said.

"Palestinian terrorism is portrayed as a minor pin-prick compared to 'massive' retaliation of this 'rogue' state [Israel]," he said.

"You cannot read a British newspaper without encountering a variant of the libel that Zionism is racism or Zionism is Nazism," he said, describing a culture of "barely disguised hatred" when the subject of Zionism of British Jewry or Anglo-Israel relations is broached, unless they are "the good anti-Zionists."

With the media and the elites skewed against Israel - aided by former Israeli academics who routinely condemn the Jewish state and who have attained "historic dissident status and are listened to as the authentic voice of Israel" - the whole discussion of anti-Semitism had become distorted in Britain, with the accuser becoming the accused, he said.

"The self-proclaimed anti-racists of the [London Mayor Ken] Livingstone brand lead the pack when it comes to the prevailing discourse about Israel and by implication Jews."

"If you bring up the subject of anti-Semitism you are playing the anti-Semitism card and you are [seen as] a dishonest deceitful manipulative Jew or lover of Jews who is using the language of anti-Semitism to disguise hide or silence criticism of Israel," he said.

The tenure of former prime minister Tony Blair - considered to be the most favorable British premier to the State of Israel - was a paradox of the British situation today, Wistrich said.

He said that Blair's support for Israel during the Second Lebanon War was "the straw that broke the camel's back" for a British premier who had already supported the Iraq War and was closely allied with US President George W. Bush, and helped bring about his downfall.

Today, the rapidly growing Muslim community in Britain numbers at least 1.6 million, compared to about 350,000 Jews.

As I've noted before, chances are that the Muslim population in Britain is much higher than that, and could be at least 2 million (and the Jewish population may be less than 300,000).

Wistrich faulted British-Jewish leadership for taking a "softly softly approach," which he said was "very strange" and did not bear fruit in contemporary times.

"There is a long tradition of doing things behind closed doors and it is different to break with tradition but it should be broken," he said.

The historian noted that the straying of the British from their Christian roots has also created a changed reality in the Anglo-Israeli relationship with no Bible-based reasons or raison d'etre for a Jewish presence in the Holy Land.

He cited the recent support of the archbishop of Canterbury for the adoption of parts of Sharia, or Islamic law, in Britain - the same country, which, he noted, was once the birthplace of the US evangelical movement.

"The loss of Christian identity in what was the most Bible-believing culture in its day is one of the deeper layers of what has happened here," he said.

He noted some of the biblical remarks of prominent British leaders such as Lord Balfour and Lloyd George would be viewed as anathema today.

"You cannot speak or act that way today, or you would be considered the 'biggest threat to civilization' as American evangelicals are."

That's why it's important to bear in mind that in Britain, anti-Americanism has become just as prevalent as anti-Semitism. There is really very little left in England today for anyone with common sense to find worth living there for.

BBC WROTE FAKED REPORT ON HOUSE OF HAMAS TERRORIST, FOX NEWS NOTICED

FOX News took note of Camera's report on how the BBC faked a report about the house of murderer of several students at Mercaz Harav, with the intention of getting people to sympathise with the devil. The house has yet to be demolished, but the Beeb claimed it had been, when in fact, it had not, though it most certainly should be torn down soon.

Now that's something to give FOX credit for.

ALMOST LIKE LIBEL TOURISM

Just who did the palestinian-supporting groups turn to at Hasbro to have their way about the world version of Monopoly? Well, I think I just figured out how this problem came to be:

...an employee based in London decided on her own without consulting senior management to pull "Israel" from Jerusalem after hearing complaints from pro-Palestinian groups and bloggers who argue that the city is not a part of Israel, Hasbro spokesman Wayne Charness said Thursday.

IMO, this is also similar to cases of libel tourism - because a US-based rep might have more sense not to do things that could cause anguish for the wrong reasons, that's why, if there's a rep available in England who can do a job for them, they'll turn to there for results.

The employee's actions are reason for dismissal, and also for taking responsibility out of the hands of foreign reps for the content of their websites.

LEFTISTS IN EUROPE DESECRATE ANNE FRANK'S MEMORY

British anti-semitism continues, with a horror story taking place in Oxford Union (via IRIS Blog). And in Holland, another atrocity is making me lose faith more and more in the Dutch (via Michelle Malkin). A girl whose memory should be honored is being desecrated by the lowliest of Euroscum.

BRITISH MUSLIMS SUPPORT RED KEN LIVINGSTONE

No surprise, really, considering what a viciously prejudiced coward he is. From the Guardian (via Hot Air Headlines):

Prominent Muslim organisations and individuals have pledged to back Ken Livingstone as mayor of London, saying it is in the "best interest" of Muslims to vote for him in this year's elections on May 1.

A statement, published today in full on the Guardian's website, praises Livingstone for his continued support of a multicultural society and for protecting Muslim communities against racism and Islamophobia.

The 63 signatories include Mohammed Ali, the chief executive of the Islam Channel, which claims to have an audience of millions, Professor Tariq Ramadan and Dilwar Hussain from the London Muslim Centre, part of the East London Mosque.

They said: "His stands and policies have constantly championed justice in the Middle East ... freedom for the Palestinians and withdrawal of occupying troops from Iraq; a rare trait of modern-day public figures. He has enhanced London's standing in the world and helped improve the lives of all of the city's communities.

"We pledge to continue our support for the mayor on all levels possible in order to secure his staying in office for a third term."

And tragically, there's every chance that Red Ken will win a third term. And he'll return favor by subverting the dhimmis and helping to promote the Islamists of London just as much as Tony Blair did when he was prime minister.

PEACE NOW TRIES TO MASK ITS CROOKED FUNDING BY EUROPEAN VILLAINS

The leftist anti-Israel group has been getting funds from bad European sources, and according to Channel 2 news in Israel, they've even been trying to cover it up. From Israel National News:

(IsraelNN.com) The Peace Now movement is suspected of setting up a financial scam to mask the European sources of its funding for its reconnaissance work against Israeli Jewish towns in Judea and Samaria.

The Non Profit Associations Registrar suspects Peace Now of operating a front organization for improper collection of funds, according to a report on Channel 2 TV by reporter Amit Segal.

The radical left-wing Peace Now group allegedly used a non-profit organization (amuta) called Sha'al, which supposedly dealt with educational matters, to receive and disburse millions of shekels over a period of many years.

Some of the organization's donors were exposed in the course of the inquiry. They include the British government, which donated more that 500,000 shekels, Norway (800,000 shekels) and the European Union, which donated 451,000 shekels earmarked for Peace Now's ongoing "settlement hunting" activity: the documentation of construction activity by Jews in Judea and Samaria.

ANTI-SEMITIC FALLOUT IN LABOUR'S SCANDAL IN BRITAIN

Problem is, either the Jewish Telegraphic Agency or the UK Jewish community's own leaders are downplaying this case of two Jewish donors to the UK Labour party, thanks to the former's sometimes overly mainstream approach, when they report that:

(JTA) – A campaign financing scandal in which two of the principal players are Jewish is dealing a heavy blow to British Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s already weakened administration.

The involvement of two Jews at the center of the very public scandal is making many British Jews uncomfortable, but Jewish community leaders say it has not caused any alarming anti-Jewish media coverage or sign of anti-Semitic fallout.

Oh, really? Then what's this that Melanie Phillips says:

When the story first broke about the Labour donor scandal and the central player was named as David Abrahams, a thought bubble formed above my head. It said: ‘Uh oh…’

I'm disappointed in the JTA for letting the British MSM get away with their sick little fantasies, and certainly with the Jewish leadership in the UK for being just as weak in the knees.

Melanie Phillips has a new article in City Journal about the scary rise of anti-semitism in Britain and where its roots could date back to.

Regarding the beginning description of an anti-semitic assault, on a 12-year-old girl on a London bus, here's the original report, via Greetings from the French Hill. Ugh, these are clearly not people I'd want to be around. The main attacker wore a chain? That suggests punk subculture was involved here, something Britain's had way too much of since the late 1970s.

But have their been any arrests made in any of these incidents? If the following report from the Telegraph (via Tim Blair) is any indication, the short answer is no:

The CPS report revealed that not a single person accused of an anti-Semitic crime had been prosecuted on a charge of religiously aggravated offending. It said: "The police statistics include incidents where no defendant has been identified or where there is insufficient evidence for a prosecution."

And a rabbi who was assaulted by some Pakistani hoodlums said that:

"We identified the youths and told the police but they were never prosecuted. They just did not seem interested. I feel very let down."

What is the use for Jews to continue living in a house of horror like what England is now if the authorities will do little to nothing to enforce the law convincingly? They'd be advised to pack their bags and travel to here. Or, if they want to continue living in Europe, maybe they should go to Italy and follow the example of some Britons who went to live there as well, where it's usually much safer.

There is nothing worth staying for in England anymore as far as I'm concerned. To all concerned who're still deluding themselves by living there - please, do yourselves a favor and go, if anywhere, to where there's more common sense. England is not where you'll find it. Certainly not today.
