LEFTIST LOONS, SEX SLAVE HOLDERS

From the Daily Mail:
Couple 'who held three women as slaves for 30 years' were leaders of Maoist communist sect based in Brixton bookshop

The couple accused of keeping three women as slaves for more than 30 years ran a communist sect worshipping Chinese leader Mao Zedong, it was revealed today.

The pair, of Indian and Tanzanian origin, are reportedly Aravindan Balakrishnan, 73, and his wife Chanda, 67, whose far-Left activities allegedly led to them being arrested and jailed in the 1970s.

They were held by police last Thursday after three alleged victims - a 30-year-old Briton called Rosie, a 57-year-old Irishwoman and a 69-year-old Malaysian - accused them of years of 'physical and mental abuse' and keeping them in servitude for decades.

It emerged today that the couple had helped organise a Maoist squat in a Brixton bookshop, which was shut down in 1978 when police raided and arrested 14 people there, including the couple.

It is alleged the suspects, known as Comrade Bala and Comrade Chanda to other members, both later served a prison sentence after a conviction for assaulting a police officer involved in the raid.

Scotland Yard and the secret services are believed to have been aware of the couple's far-Left views....
Even more surreal:
Lambeth Council 'were told about youngest victim Rosie, 30, 15 years ago'.
Yet, the Left constantly portrays themselves as caring about the well being of oppressed people.

IMMIGRATION TRUTH

I know several immigrants — legal and illegal — who are wonderful people of excellent character and a laudable work ethic. You likely can make the same observation about immigrants whom you encounter.

However, the chilling video below should make us realize that political activism appearing humanitarian and socially just in the short term may well be something else entirely in the long term. The speaker, immigration activist Eliseo Medina, has connections with the SEIU, the Communist Party USA, and the Democratic Socialist Party:

Some text from the video:
So I think there’s two things that matter for the progressive community. Number one, if we are to expand this electorate to win, the progressive community needs to solidly be on the side of immigrants, that we’ll expand and solidify the progressive coalition for the future…

When you are in the middle of a fight for your life you will remember who was there with you. And immigrants count on progressives to be able to do that.

Number two. “We reform the immigration laws, it puts 12 million people on the path to citizenship and eventually voters”. Can you imagine if we have, even the same ratio, two out of three? If we have eight million new voters who care about …… and will be voting. We will be creating a governing coalition for the long term, not just for an election cycle…
How many Congress critters are aware of the above? How many Congress critters CARE?

Also see The American Birdfeeder, which draws the perfect analogy.

Yes, we need immigration reform. But what KIND of immigration reform?

TODAY'S EDUCATION SYSTEM AND MARXISM

From Conservative Hideout 2.0:
How the State Standards are Indoctrinating our Youth with Marxist Views on the Great Depression

For many long years conservatives have failed badly in teaching the lessons of the Great Depression, instead deferring to the liberals and accepting their ‘lessons’ as the reality of the situation. The damage from years and years of learning the wrong lessons from the Great Depression is that today our nation is replicating the same sorts of policies that led to and lengthened the Depression and it is questionable whether or not there are enough around still educated in different lessons to implement different policies that will lead our nation to greater success and liberty and prosperity.

In 2004, the State of Michigan adopted a revised set of social studies standards- the high school’s standards are called the High School Content Expectations. These HSCE’s are intended to establish what every high school student that graduates from Michigan should know by the time they graduate...
A specific example of material included in this indoctrination program:
...7.1.3 covers “The New Deal,” and according to the state guidelines which all teachers follow which all students learn, students are to take away from this time period several lessons. First, students are supposed to learn that the federal government has a responsibility to protect the environment and should do so by violating the Constitution (TVA) and taking control over formally private business activities- yet this is a judgement and not a history lesson and should not be pushed in public schools. Second, students are supposed to learn that the national government is supposed to be meeting challenges of unemployment by creating jobs, as if a political system designed to protect people’s liberty and property can exist in a nation where the government takes wealth from one group and redistributes it to another and creates businesses in competition to private companies. Students are supposed to learn how the Supreme Court then was wrong in striking down these unconstitutional attempts to twist our nation from a republic into a fascist dictatorship, and that opponents of the New Deal were just heartless and evil businessman who wanted to continue making a buck like the Marxists teach. Finally, students are to learn the consequences of the New Deal, which are listed as “promoting workers’ rights, development of Social Security program, and banking and financial regulation, conservation practices, crop subsidies”- all good consequences and not a single bad consequence listed. Nowhere is it mentioned that the Great Depression was in reality several recessions, all caused by these policies, and that our nation didn’t recover from the Depression until FDR died and many of his policies were rejected and repealed in the 1950′s....
Much more HERE.

Find out what is being taught in our nation's classrooms.  No wonder the parasites are proliferating!

OBAMA: "REDISTRIBUTIVE CHANGE"

The following audio of a statement that Obama made early this century disappeared from the web for a while, but I recently found the audio again (hat tip to Conservative Hideout):

What Obama meant all along by his mantra 2008 election slogan of "Change!" and what Obama means by "Forward!" now.

OBAMA CHANNELS LENIN: Look to the Future, Comrades!

The Statist can never look at history, or at human experience, or their own record of failure. Thus, the Statist must paint a Utopian vision of the future.

Delivered on March 1, 1920 at the First All-Russia Congress of Workers, Vladimir Lenin concluded his keynote speech with the following promise.

We have now concentrated all our forces on the restoration of industry and are steadfastly waging this new war, in which we shall be as victorious as we have been hitherto. We have instructed a commission of scientists and engineers to draw up a plan for the electrification of Russia. The plan will be ready in two months and will enable us to got a full and clear picture of how, in a few years, the whole of Russia will be covered by a network of electric transmission lines, will be restored in a new way, not the old way, and how she will achieve that culture which [we] saw in Germany.

That is the way we must restore our industry, and that is the way we shall return a hundredfold the loan of grain we are taking from the peasants. We know that this cannot be done in a year or two; the minimum programme of electrification is calculated for a period of not less than three years, and the complete success of this advanced industry will require not less than ten years ... We have gained that experience in leading the masses with the help of urban workers which will carry us through all difficulties on this bloodless front of struggle against economic chaos and will lead to greater victories than those we gained in the war against international imperialism. (Applause.)

71 years later, when the Soviet Union collapsed, huge swaths of the country had no electric power.

In a speech delivered on January 8, 2009, President-Elect Barack Obama urged Congress to pass a Stimulus bill warning that the recession could become “dramatically worse” and last for years otherwise.

That is why we need to act boldly and act now to reverse these cycles. That’s why we need to put money in the pockets of the American people, create new jobs, and invest in our future...

That work begins with this plan – a plan I am confident will save or create at least three million jobs over the next few years... That’s why we’ll invest in priorities like energy and education; health care and a new infrastructure that are necessary to keep us strong and competitive in the 21st century. That’s why the overwhelming majority of the jobs created will be in the private sector, while our plan will save the public sector jobs...

To finally spark the creation of a clean energy economy, we will double the production of alternative energy in the next three years. We will modernize more than 75% of federal buildings and improve the energy efficiency of two million American homes, saving consumers and taxpayers billions on our energy bills. In the process, we will put Americans to work in new jobs that pay well and can’t be outsourced – jobs building solar panels and wind turbines; constructing fuel-efficient cars and buildings; and developing the new energy technologies that will lead to even more jobs, more savings, and a cleaner, safer planet in the bargain.

To improve the quality of our health care while lowering its cost, we will make the immediate investments necessary to ensure that within five years, all of America’s medical records are computerized

This is the hallmark of the Statist.

Ideologically unable to unleash the private sector, the Statist must always paint a picture of a Utopian future hovering just a few years away. If only you can give him more more money and more authority, this Utopia can be yours!

And, of course, it always fails to materialize.

We must deconstruct the Statists' policy failures. Look not at the mirage-like vision of the future that he paints; look instead at what he's done.

I'm calling out the fakers: it's time to fight!

You know what really p*sses me off about Blue Dog Democrats? Besides the fact that they have to pretend they're Republicans to get elected, that is.

No, what really fires me up is that most of them have a "federal deficit clock" counting up on their websites.

Consider: in 100 days of the Obama administration, Democrats have already tripled the deficit. They've nationalized the banks and the auto industry. And despite running Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid into the ground (with $55 trillion in unfunded liabilities), they're now poised to shove socialized medicine down our throats, obliterating the finest medical system in the world.

Using a procedural loophole that inhibits debate and suppresses amendments, Democrats are bludgeoning socialized medicine into place (although a better name for their program might be "Illegal Alien Care") without a bit of transparency. That's change you can disbelieve in.

And let me repeat: the Democrats' socialized medicine program includes free health care for illegal aliens.

Folks, it's time to save our country. Call radio shows, write letters to the editor, tell neighbors, do whatever it takes to get the message out.

And call the Blue Dog Democrats: I've included the contact information for all of these pretenders, below. These faux-cons need to make a choice: either get with the program -- or face eradication at the polls in 2010. Call 'em now and relay the message. Make your voice heard.

To paraphrase Winston Churchill:

We shall fight them on the beaches,
We shall fight them in the city,
We shall fight them in the fields and in the streets,
We shall fight them in the hills;
We shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, America or a large part of it were subjugated and starving due to Marxist-Democrat policies, then our children will carry on the struggle until, in God's good time, this land is returned to the tenets of the Framers and the Constitution.

It's time to smash the Pelosi-Obama-Reid Marxists, before our children have to. Years from now, after Obama is retired and living the life of a wealthy jet-setter, our kids will still be paying off his ACORN/SEIU stimulus package. So call now, bookmark this page, call tomorrow and then call the next day and the day after that. Write it in your calendar if you have to. And stop the Democrats' disastrous and underhanded destruction of our health care system.

ASKING FOR A HANDOUT

Even before the stimulus bill was signed into law, Virginia Governor Michael Kaine, devotee of BHO, was getting quite the avalanche of requests. Check out these two examples from today's Washington Post:
Eric Blow, a Fairfax County software development manager, asked for $50,000 so his wife could turn her fledgling cake-decorating business into a bakery. Ron Houser, a state investigator from south of Culpeper, asked for $50,000 to help send his oldest son to college. "His mother and I can contribute the remaining $13,200," Houser wrote.
And another:
Tony Barrix Jr., who lives in the Shenandoah Valley community of Bridgewater, asked for $2,000 to pay off a high-interest loan he took out using his car title as security. He offered this in the Project Description field online: "I just went and paid $380.00 for one month and not a penny went towards my 1500.00 loan. ive had the loan now for over a year and cannot get it paid off. If i get behind on my payment they are going to take the only way i can support my family. Please help me pay off this loan before we lose everything. Thanks soo much Tony Barrix Jr".
And perhaps the most absurd request of all given in the WaPo article:
On the day Kaine's effort was announced, a Fairfax man submitted two proposals totaling $5,000.

"I am seeking $1,000 to put hardwood floors in my house," read the first. It would cover 400 square feet, create one job and benefit the flooring company, he wrote. He also wants to improve his yard. "This project has been designed and is literally 'shovel' ready. I have selected a landscaping firm that needs the business but I just need the money."
"I just need the money"?

WHAT?

Hell, I need the money too, but I don't expect the stimulus bill to put a new roof on my house or to pay my heating bills and health insurance premiums.

But I see that some people (Were they always nuts or just got that way because of Obamamania?) actually seem to think that they deserve money for free — for whatever profligacy, luxury, or debt payment.

BHO, with all the campaign yapping of his, as well as with his statements as President, has actually led to people believing and nearly demanding that the government should take care of them — from cradle to grave.

I never thought that I'd live long enough to see Virginians swallow Marxism like this.

Now, how many other Americans out there are as deluded as the saps cited in the Washington Post article?

STUDY: COLLECTIVISM SHATTERS SELF-RELIANCE

FAMOUS NEO-CON WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE:
"TO THINE OWN SELF BE TRUE."
MAO AND HILLARY AND THE DEMS:
"IT TAKES A VILLAGE."
HERE ARE THE RAMIFICATIONS, FROM YAHOO:
Rugged American individualism could hinder our ability to understand other peoples' point of view, a new study suggests.

And in contrast, the researchers found that Chinese are more skilled at understanding other people's perspectives, possibly because they live in a more "collectivist" society.

"This cultural difference affects the way we communicate," said study co-author and cognitive psychologist Boaz Keysar of the University of Chicago.

Simple study

The study, though oversimplified compared to real life, was instructive. Keysar and his colleagues arranged two blocks on a table so participants could see both. However, a piece of cardboard obstructed the view of one block so a "director," sitting across from the participant, could only see one block.

When the director asked 20 American participants (none of Asian descent) to move a block, most were confused as to which block to move and did not take into account the director's perspective. Even though they could have deduced that, from the director's seat, only one block was on the table.

Most of the 20 Chinese participants, however, were not confused by the hidden block and knew exactly which block the director was referring to. While following directions was relatively simple for the Chinese, it took Americans twice as long to move a block.

"That strong, egocentric communication of Westerners was nonexistent when we looked at Chinese," Keysar said. "The Chinese were very much able to put themselves in the shoes of another when they were communicating."

The results are detailed in the July issue of the journal Psychological Science.

Collectivist societies, such as the Chinese, place more value on the needs of the group and less on the autonomy of the individual. In these societies, understanding other peoples' experiences is a more critical social skill than it is among typically more individualist Americans.
IF YOU WANT TO BE SUBJUGATED TO THE COLLECTIVE, THE BRG, THE STATE, THE VILLAGE, THE PARTY THEN BY ALL MEANS VOTE SOCIALIST, COMMUNIST, OR DEMOCRAT. AND KEEP MARX AND OBAMA-EDWARDS-HILLARY.

I'LL TAKE SHAKESPEARE AND HAYEK.

CHINA WENT FROM BASKET-CASE TO POWERHOUSE BECAUSE THEY ABANDONED COLLECTIVISM.

ALL THIS STUDY REALLY PROVES IS THAT COLLECTIVIST IDEAS ARE PERSISTENT.

WHICH IS WHY - EVEN HERE IN THE USA AND IN EUROPE , EVEN AFTER THE FALL OF THE USSR AND RED CHINA - WE MUST FIGHT LEFTISM.
