HOW TO SAVE AFGHANISTAN: GET THEM TO CONVERT AWAY FROM ISLAM

Obama doesn't need top send 30,000 moire US troops or get NATO to contribute any more either.

All the West needs to do to save Afghanistan is get them to convert to Christianity - or Hinduism or Buddhism or Judaism.

Anything but Islam.

YOU COUNTER: "This is unrealistic; people's don't convert anymore."

I SAY: Nearly every Christian in Europe is descended from a CONVERT - when Europe - tribe by tribe, kingdom by kingdom, nation by nation - converted EN MASSE. If it happened before it can happen again.

We must find Afghanistan's "LYDIA" (pictured - she was Europe's first convert). The rest will follow.

Until the Afghans give up Islam they will live in a culture of misogyny and jihad and ignorance and anti-modernity, and on the edge of failed-statehood.

I think all the Muslim states which function at all well (Indonesia, Kuwait) function because they were once colonies of the West and have kept some of the West's key values - like DEMOCRACY and RULE OF LAW DERIVED BY MUTUAL CONSENT --- WHICH IS FUNDAMENTALLY AND IRREVOCABLY ANTI-SHARIA. (Turkey got these values via Ataturk - and the AKP is unraveling them.)

If they won't convert, then they shouldn't get a penny in aid. or be allowed into any international "club" - like the WTO or the IMF or World bank or even the UN. (If the UN won't go along with this we should quit the UN and kick them out of the USA!)

YOU COUNTER: "Then how would we prevent the radical jihadists from taking over again?!"

By warning them: "If you become a jihado-terror state we will nuke you and turn your population into dust and your land to glass."

I've come to feel that everything less than this is half-assed and doomed to fail.

If Islam were to find a GLOBAL ATATURK, then they might be able to remain Muslim and join modernity.

I think this is unlikely.

Were there ANYONE who could fulfil this, then they might have said something constructive since 9/11.

The virtual silence and the lack of any global leader or any global movement to modernize Islam PROVES my point.

I think a Muslim Europe would be bad for all future generations of humans everywhere. We need a Christian awakening in the West as badly as we need a Christian awakening in South Asia.
