The Pill at $9 per month = $108 per year

or, about $851 per year.
So, $1000 per year would be approxiamtely the cost of 1 pap smear, 1 Dr. visit, the pill, plus one abortion.
Remember, abortion is part of the constellation of contraceptive options to these people.

People associated with one “extremist” group whose grant was terminated after the Prime Minister’s pledge are now being used to induct new staff into the Government’s own Office of Security and Counter-Terrorism (OSCT), the Home Office division responsible for directing Britain’s anti-terror efforts. Only last week the same individuals were awarded thousands of pounds of fresh public funding.
Meanwhile, the Civil Service has solicited “fast-stream” recruits for the top ranks in Whitehall from a group which has hosted numerous extremists and terrorist supporters, including the al-Qaeda cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, who was linked to a number of international plots before his death last year.
Another body linked to the extremist sect Hizb ut-Tahrir, the public funding of which Mr Cameron condemned as long ago as 2009, is still receiving hundreds of thousands of pounds of taxpayers’ money, to educate primary-age children in Hizb ut-Tahrir ideology.
“The situation is pretty serious,” said Haras Rafique, director of the Centri anti-extremism think-tank, which works closely with government. “It is one thing making political statements, but change only happens when you implement it and that change doesn’t seem to have happened.”

"New Historian" gets some well-deserved criticism

His lectures, two of which were entitled “The False Paradigm of Parity and Partition: Revisiting 1967,” and "Arab Spring and Palestine- Israel 'Peace Process,'” sought to vilify Israel and cast the Jewish state as being solely responsible for the failure of the peace process.
Tammi Rossman-Benjamin, Hebrew lecturer at the University of California at Santa Cruz and co-founder of the AMCHA Initiative, a California- based Zionist organization that seeks to protect the interests of Jewish students said that the event are “essentially state-sponsored anti-Semitism."

NSW STRENGTHENS LAW ON MUSLIM VEILS
New South Wales in Australia has improved the law requiring Muslim women to clearly identify themselves:
CANBERRA, Australia (AP) — Muslim women in Australia's most populous state will have to remove veils to have their signatures officially witnessed under the latest laws giving New South Wales officials authority to look under religious face coverings.Oh, that particular judge was just a PC advocate for all I can tell. And his failure to uphold justice in that case was damaging, regardless of this development.
New South Wales state Attorney General Greg Smith said in a statement on Monday that beginning April 30, officials such as justices of the peace and lawyers who witness statutory declarations or affidavits without making identity checks will be fined 220 Australian dollars ($236).
"If a person is wearing a face covering, an authorized witness should politely and respectfully ask them to show their face," Smith said.
The government on Monday began an information campaign to ensure the public and officials were aware of the new penalties before they came into force.
The laws are a response to a court case last year in which a Sydney woman was convicted of falsely claiming that a traffic policeman had attempted to remove her niqab — a veil that reveals only the eyes.
A judge overturned the conviction because the official who witnessed the false claim did not look under the veil of the person who made it, so the judge was not certain that the defendant was responsible.
The latest laws were passed Dec. 23 by the state parliament. They follow New South Wales laws passed last year that introduced a AU$5,500 ($5,900) fine and a 12-month prison sentence for anyone who refuses to remove face coverings when requested to do so by police.I think this is just more PC advocation on a Muslim's part. What about respect for the law on their part?
Ikebal Patel, president of the Australian Federation of Islamic Councils an advocate for Australian Muslims, said while some Muslims regarded the laws as a knee-jerk reaction to the court case, the majority did not object.
"I don't object as long as the laws are enforced with respect and sensitivity," Patel said.
New South Wales laws demanding the removal of religious face coverings are an Australian first, although other states including Victoria and Western Australia are considering similar legislation.Let's hope they hurry up about it.
