What Would Breitbart Do? Rally for Rush!

Jeffrey Lord's latest must-read in the American Spectator is a call to action to defend free speech, inspired by Andrew Breitbart's example. It traces the advertisers that have abandoned Rush's program, many after decades of support. Lord notes that only a pathetic 21 percent of Americans identify themselves as liberals. And he rightly observes that disenfranchising 79 percent of Americans is a decidedly flawed business strategy.

The time to be bullied is over. You hear me? It's over.

Here's how we're going to fight back against "The Sickly Seven", as I like to call the advertisers who abandoned Rush over calling the woman a "slut" when a more apt description would be "lying plant."

Sleep Train: This gutless company says it has been advertising with Rush for 25 years. They should be ashamed of themselves. Absolutely ashamed...
This is the e-mail for Sleep Train's customer service: customerservice@sleeptrain.com. This is the 800 phone number for Sleep Train: 1-800-919-2337. This is the 800 fax number for Sleep Train: 1-866-293-5719.

Citrix: Mark B. Templeton is the President and CEO... The contact info for the Citrix Corporate Headquarters is... Toll Free Phone: 1-800-424-8749, Phone: 954-267-3000, Fax: 954-267-9319.

Quicken Loans: Quicken, under the leadership of its Founder and Chairman Dan Gilbert.... has gone the extra mile to antagonize the 40 percent. It has this statement on its website: Due to Rush Limbaugh's continued inflammatory comments -- along with the valued feedback we have received from our clients and team members -- Quicken Loans has suspended all advertising on the Rush Limbaugh radio program.

Note: Quicken is so skittish the above message appears for mere seconds before vanishing. It took repeated tries to copy verbatim the simple, highly provocative message above.

The Quicken contact info is found on this page of their website. Note: The company has an online chat function on this page. Also: Phone, Client Relations: 1-800-863-4332.

Pro-Flowers: Their contact info is here.

Carbonite: ...contact info here...

...DO YOU GET the picture? The American Left -- whether it pops up in the form of Media Matters, Color of Change, MoveOn.org, Texans for Truth or other groups -- is determined to shut off conservative dissent from their agenda by whatever means necessary. Fueled in part by money like that they received from David Friend of Carbonite. To do this they are quite specifically going after conservative talk radio hosts and television commentators one by one by one. The fact that David Friend of MoveOn.org/Carbonite is there to stick it to Rush is all the better. The fact that Ed Schulz called Laura Ingraham a slut is one big no-big-deal to Sandra Fluke herself when she wants air time on with Mr. Ed. Why should David Friend care if Ms. Fluke doesn't? So, Carbonite continues as Mr. Ed's sponsor, sluts be damned.

As noted earlier, what began with Don Imus, Lou Dobbs, and Glenn Beck has just hit Pat Buchanan... Now, they want Rush's scalp...

In his last speech to the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) just weeks ago, Andrew Breitbart stood at the podium and said: "Conservatives used to take it and we're not taking it anymore."

...By doing what they have now done, these one-time sponsors of Rush Limbaugh's show have now startlingly indicated that they are signing on with anti-First Amendment thugs.

We've got work to do, friends. It's time to Rally for Rush.

And, please: pass it on.

WILL RUSH RAISE MONEY FOR HILLARY?

NYTIMES:
Obama, a senator from Illinois, and Clinton, a senator from New York, both had record fundraising totals in February. Obama raised some $55 million and Clinton $35 million.

Both have out-raised John McCain, the presumptive Republican nominee for the November election to determine who will succeed President George W. Bush in the White House.

But Clinton has significantly less money available than her Democratic rival because of higher debt and funds raised that can only be used if she becomes their party's nominee.

Clinton had some $10.9 million in cash left at the end of February compared with $31.6 million for Obama, according to an analysis by the Washington-based Campaign Finance Institute of the candidates' filings with the Federal Election Commission late this week.

Clinton had significantly higher debts -- she owed $8.7 million, not including the $5 million she herself lent to her campaign. Obama had about $625,000 in debt to be paid.

Subtracting the debt from her cash in hand leaves the former first lady with only $2.2 million for the upcoming primaries in Pennsylvania and elsewhere, which will be crucial to her candidacy as she tries to close the gap with Obama, who has accumulated more of the pledged delegates who determine the eventual Democratic nominee.
IF SHE DOESN'T CLOBBER OBAMA IN PA, THEN IT'S ALLOVER FOR HER.
  • RUSH CALLED FOR VOTERS IN TEXAS TO VOTE FOR HILLARY.
  • WILL HE DO THE SAME AND MORE IN PENNSYLVANIA?
  • HE'LL HAVE TO: TO DEFEAT OBAMA SHE NEEDS MORE THAN WRIGHT; SHE NEEDS DOREMI.

RUSH LIMBAUGH ROCKS!!

I saw this video of Rush on Hannity and Colmes Monday night and I was just standing up and cheering. Rush rocks!! Marie did an excellent post on it all.

Rush isn't a Marine but his speech reminds me of that quote in "A Few Good Men" where Jack Nicholson says, "You messed with the wrong Marine." In Rush's case, you messed with the wrong Talk Show Host ;-).

THE ATTEMPTED CHARACTER ASSASSINATION OF RUSH

Reliapundit posted the video of Rush taking on Harry Reid and his ilk yesterday. I can't begin to tell you the last time I was this mad. I was spitting nails yesterday!! My blood pressure was through the roof. After listening to Rush's AWESOME interview with Clarence Thomas I had to hear what Harry Reid said on the senate floor about Rush. I was livid and literally screaming at the radio. This is the ULTIMATE in character assassination.

Whether you love him or hate him the one thing EVERYONE knows about Rush Limbaugh is that he loves and supports the troops. He would never say anything even remotely negative about them. Yet, Harry Reid, Dick Durbin and Harkin had the audacity to take the completely false smear that Media Matters created and talk about it on the floor of Congress as if it were fact. This from the very traitors who have done nothing but undermine and trash our troops. I really don't know how they can say this stuff with a straight face and I certainly don't know how they sleep at night!!

Then they want others to condemn Rush and are trying to get us to believe that Rush somehow insulted our troops. He was talking about one person, Jesse Macbeth, who had been in the military for 6 weeks and didn't even make it through basic training. He was a phony soldier because he was pretending to have fought in Iraq and said he got a purple heart and then was being used by the left as a propaganda tool saying he had killed innocent civilians. It was all a fabrication and a lie, making him indeed a phony soldier as ABC pointed out on the special they did on phony soldiers.

You can bet Harry Reid, Dick Durbin and Tom Harkin are going to hear from me today!! Here are their numbers for those of you who might also want to express your thoughts and feelings on the matter:

Senator Harry Reid--(202)224-3542
Senator Tom Harkin--(202)224-3254
Senator Dick Durbin--(202)224-2152

Meanwhile, Representative Jack Kingston offered a resolution in the House supporting Rush and what he has done for the troops. Kudos to Representative Jack Kingston!! I will be contacting him as well with my support!

MEDIA MATTERS STRIKES AGAIN!!

This is unbelievable!! Once again Media Matters takes something Rush says completely out of context and then the rumor is spread and people are denouncing something that wasn't even said on the floor of Congress.

Meanwhile, as Reliapundit pointed out, John Edwards really said something that should be denounced and the Drive By Media and Congress are silent. This double standard is getting ridiculous.

MY CHAT WITH RUSH LIMBAUGH

I'm still on Cloud 9 and just beaming. Yesterday, I was able to get through on Rush Limbaugh's show.

Here is the transcript from his website on my question:
CALLER: Hi. Mega dittos. I'm so excited that I got through.

RUSH: Thank you.

CALLER: I just wanted you to know, I have a political blog and I have a Rush babe emblem right there on the front to show everybody my support --

RUSH: That a babe, that a babe.

CALLER: So I wanted to let you know I was listening to your response to the "we can't win" guy on Wednesday and I was just cheering the whole time. It just expressed my views on the war to a T, and I feel like you do in that I've been a little discouraged by some of the people in our own party that seem to have the same we can't win attitude, and especially Bill Buckley wrote this piece, you know, recently about The waning of the GOP saying that --

RUSH: Yeah.

CALLER: -- we can't win the war, the Republican Party might even suffer from this. And I know you love Bill Buckley, and I'm just wondering where is he coming from with this?

RUSH: Well, I can only speculate, because I haven't spoken to him about it. I got e-mail about that. "Hey, Rush, you love Buckley, did you see what he wrote? How can you still like Buckley?" You people are not aware of the pressures I'm under because of the things that I admit. There's a branch of conservatism that holds we ought go nowhere where our national interests are not threatened. We cannot be, quote, unquote, policemen of the world. I can't tell you for sure that I know that Bill Buckley has been on board and then got off the train. I don't know if he started out being for this or if he didn't. I think what he's assessing is the bungling of this as he sees it, and he thinks that the bungling of this is going to really, really decimate the Republican Party, because it's looking incompetent. It could well be that Mr. Buckley has fallen prey to what we've been talking about the last couple days, the media bubble. But he's not the only one. There are quite a few others --

CALLER: Right.

RUSH: -- who I know at the outset were very supportive and ready to go, and simply don't like the way it's been, and I think in his view his criticism is based on incompetence of the whole thing. No, he's not rooting for defeat. It's a big difference out there, Dionne. He's not rooting for defeat. He's ruing it, and he's worried about the impact that it might have on the Republican Party and of course the future.

He then went on to ask me about this KC story, Airport adds foot basins for Muslim cabbies.

I hadn't heard about it but I was able to go on and ask him another question that I was hoping to be able to slip in. I asked him for advice on my internet radio show starting in June. He asked what it was going to be about and joked that I could do my best imitation of him.

During this part of the conversation I mentioned that I was a conservative Christian so he asked me another question about Mitt Romney and why Christians have a problem with Mormonism. The caller right before me didn't understand why people had issues with Romney being a Mormon. I explained that most Evangelicals view Mormonism as a cult. I mentioned that even though I agreed with that view it wasn't going to affect my view of Romney. I brought up that it would probably just indicate he was more moral than your average person and Orrin Hatch would be the perfect example. He then told the call screener not to take any calls about Mormonism because he had just gotten the answer to his question. Yah!!

It was a great experience and it was so great that I got to talk to him longer than just asking the one question. An awesome day!!
