Sweden is now experiencing the results of multiculturalism and and its facilitating of Islamization. Now Sweden leads Europe in the number of reported rapes - more specifically Rape Jihad.

This figure is double as many as in the UK which reports 23 cases, and four times that of the other Nordic countries, Germany and France. Way back in July of 2005, well known blogger Fjordman warned of Sweden's escalating rape crisis but unlike the below article - which tries to cover up the real facts and blame the increase in rapes to "party lifestyles" - the evidence clearly shows that the rape crisis is directly due to MUSLIM immigration into the Country:

A strong earthquake struck central Mexico on Monday, swaying tall buildings in the capital and rattling nerves in a city already tense from a swine flu outbreak suspected of killing as many as 149 people nationwide

Near the epicenter in the Pacific coast state of Guerrero, two women aged 67 and 75 died of heart attacks during or shortly after the earthquake, and four homes and a perimeter wall collapsed in and around the resort of Acapulco, state police reported.

"I'm scared," said Sarai Luna Pajas, a 22-year-old social services worker standing outside her Mexico City office building moments after it hit. "We Mexicans are not used to living with so much fear, but all that is happening — the economic crisis, the illnesses and now this — it feels like the Apocalypse."

TELEGRAPH: David Cameron demands referendum on new EU constitution from Gordon Brown

Launching the Conservatives campaign for the forthcoming European Parliament elections, the Conservative leader called on the Prime Minister to abandon his opposition to a referendum. The issue is expected to be crucial in the run-up to polling day on June 4.

Labour's 2005 general election manifesto promised that the Government would hold a referendum.

However, Mr Brown has ratified the renegotiated constitution - known as the Lisbon Treaty - without a public vote. The Prime Minister claims that the Treaty is not a revised version of the constitution despite it being largely identical.

Mr Cameron said yesterday: "Where you stand on the referendum says a lot about your politics. It says a lot about how much you value trust between the government and the governed. I believe that if you make a promise in your manifesto, and the country votes on that manifesto, then you are honour-bound to keep that promise.

"Gordon Brown's flip-flopped on this before. First he was against the Constitution, then he was for it; one day he promised a referendum, the next he backtracked. While he has chopped and changed, our position has remained exactly the same. We are the only major party to have consistently said that it is up to the British people to decide on our future in Europe."

MORE PROOF TURKEY IS DRIFTING INTO THE AXIS OF EVIL: HOLDS JOINT MILITARY OPERATIONS WITH SYRIA

The Turkish military said it launched a joint drill with Syrian soldiers on their shared border Monday in order to improve security. Israel, an ally of Turkey and a longtime foe of Syria, expressed concern. Military teams from Turkey and Syria were scheduled to cross the border and visit outposts during the three-day exercises, the Turkish military said. It described the drill as the "first ever" between the countries.

There was no mention of the joint operation in Syrian media. However, government newspapers reported Monday that Syrian Defense Minister Hassan Ali Turkmani had begun a five-day visit to Turkey for talks with Turkish officials and also to attend an international defense fair in Istanbul.

Tensions between Turkey and Syria were once high because Abdullah Ocalan, leader of Turkey's rebel Kurdistan Workers' Party, sheltered in Syria. Turkey massed troops on the Syrian border. Damascus then expelled Ocalan and he was captured in Kenya in 1999.

Antagonism between the neighbors had also mounted in the 1990s when Turkey developed military ties with Israel.

Israel's Defense Minister Ehud Barak said Monday that he viewed the exercise "as definitely a worrisome development."

Smithfield operates massive hog-raising operations Perote, Mexico, in the state of Vera Cruz, where the outbreak originated. The operations, grouped under a Smithfield subsidiary called Granjas Carrol, raise 950,000 hogs per year, according to the company Web site—a level nearly equal to Smithfield’s total U.S. hog production.

On Friday, the U.S. disease-tracking blog Biosurveillance published a timeline of the outbreak containing this nugget, dated April 6 (major tip of the hat to Paula Hay, who alerted me to the Smithfield link on the Comfood listserv and has written about it on her blog, Peak Oil Entrepreneur):

Residents [of Perote] believed the outbreak had been caused by contamination from pig breeding farms located in the area. They believed that the farms, operated by Granjas Carroll, polluted the atmosphere and local water bodies, which in turn led to the disease outbreak.

BASEBALL AS AN ENTITLEMENT?

Look, I love baseball. I was learning to swing a bat even before I started going to kindergarten.

But to expect the taxpayers' to pay for keeping Metro, the D.C. transporation system including both bus and rail service, open beyond the usual house so that attendeees of night games can ride home. Other groups don't receive that same special privilege for free. Furthermore, such special consideration for the Washington Nationals flies in the face of financial realities, especially at a time when Metro is facing a budget gap of $29 million, laying off some 300 workers, and cutting back on bus services.

The rule for keeping Metro open beyond the usual closing hour is as follows:

Under a 2003 Metro policy, organizations that want Metrorail to open early or close late are required to pay the agency a fee. Such organizations and events include the Washington Redskins, the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the Marine Corps Marathon and groups that perform at Verizon Center. The fees must be paid two weeks in advance, and organizers receive refunds if fares exceed that amount, which typically happens with large events.

That policy seems fair enough. But after some apparent confusion and a lack of communication among the D.C. Transportation Department, Metro, and the Washington Nationals, the late-service fee of $27,000 per hour has been waived:

District officials have decided that the city will cover all the costs for Metro to stay open to accommodate late Washington Nationals games after having suggested that others in the region share the tab.

Suddenly, as if by magic, the District now claims capable of finding the necessary budget resources for transportation after those late-release baseball games....

Experts at the Centers for Disease Control address the subject of voluntary or involuntary placement of individuals in isolation or quarantine this way:

To contain the spread of a contagious illness, public health authorities rely on many strategies. Two of these strategies are isolation and quarantine. Both are common practices in public health, and both aim to control exposure to infected or potentially infected persons. Both may be undertaken voluntarily or compelled by public health authorities. The two strategies differ in that isolation applies to persons who are known to have an illness, and quarantine applies to those who have been exposed to an illness but who may or may not become ill.

I'm calling out the fakers: it's time to fight!

You know what really p*sses me off about Blue Dog Democrats? Besides the fact that they have to pretend they're Republicans to get elected, that is.

No, what really fires me up is that most of them have a "federal deficit clock" counting up on their websites.

Consider: in 100 days of the Obama administration, Democrats have already tripled the deficit. They've nationalized the banks and the auto industry. And despite running Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid into the ground (with $55 trillion in unfunded liabilities), they're now poised to shove socialized medicine down our throats, obliterating the finest medical system in the world.

Using a procedural loophole that inhibits debate and suppresses amendments, Democrats are bludgeoning socialized medicine into place (although a better name for their program might be "Illegal Alien Care") without a bit of transparency. That's change you can disbelieve in.

And let me repeat: the Democrats' socialized medicine program includes free health care for illegal aliens.

Folks, it's time to save our country. Call radio shows, write letters to the editor, tell neighbors, do whatever it takes to get the message out.

And call the Blue Dog Democrats: I've included the contact information for all of these pretenders, below. These faux-cons need to make a choice: either get with the program -- or face eradication at the polls in 2010. Call 'em now and relay the message. Make your voice heard.

To paraphrase Winston Churchill:

We shall fight them on the beaches,
We shall fight them in the city,
We shall fight them in the fields and in the streets,
We shall fight them in the hills;
We shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, America or a large part of it were subjugated and starving due to Marxist-Democrat policies, then our children will carry on the struggle until, in God's good time, this land is returned to the tenets of the Framers and the Constitution.

It's time to smash the Pelosi-Obama-Reid Marxists, before our children have to. Years from now, after Obama is retired and living the life of a wealthy jet-setter, our kids will still be paying off his ACORN/SEIU stimulus package. So call now, bookmark this page, call tomorrow and then call the next day and the day after that. Write it in your calendar if you have to. And stop the Democrats' disastrous and underhanded destruction of our health care system.

OBAMA MAY HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO DEADLY SWINE FLU

BLOOMBERG VIA DRUDGE:

At least 20 deaths in Mexico from the disease are confirmed, Health Minister Jose Cordova said yesterday.

The strain is a variant of H1N1 swine influenza that has also sickened at least eight people in California and Texas.

As many as 68 deaths may be attributed to the virus in Mexico, and about 1,000 people in the Mexico City area are showing symptoms of the illness, Cordoba said.

Obama’s Visit

The first case was seen in Mexico on April 13.

The outbreak coincided with the President Barack Obama’s trip to Mexico City on April 16. Obama was received at Mexico’s anthropology museum in Mexico City by Felipe Solis, a distinguished archeologist who died the following day from symptoms similar to flu, Reforma newspaper reported.

The newspaper didn’t confirm if Solis had swine flu or not.

LIEBERMAN WASN'T QUITE INVITED TO EGYPT

It was report a few days ago that Egypt went back on its decision to ban Avigdor Lieberman from visiting. Now, it's been reported that this isn't quite so:

Cairo's intelligence chief did not invite Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman to come visit when the two officials met in Jerusalem on Wednesday, Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman Hossam Zaki said Thursday.

However, another Egyptian official who attended Omar Suleiman's meeting with Lieberman would not rule out the possibility that an invitation had indeed been extended to the foreign minister, or would be in the near future.

"Egypt welcomes any official from any country that respects Egypt and the Egyptian leadership," the second official told The Jerusalem Post.

Lieberman "said he respects Egypt and respects the president. Then that's it... this is the basis."

The unnamed official called Lieberman's remarks, which apparently stopped short of an apology to Suleiman for past remarks, "a positive development" and a change from his previous statements about Egypt.

Following the meeting, sources close to Lieberman told reporters that Suleiman had invited him to Egypt, but Zaki said, "no he did not" in a text message he sent to the Post.

Lieberman and his aides would not respond to inquiries about the meeting or reports of an invitation on Thursday.

Also, in a rare public statement, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak addressed the issue on Thursday, confirming only that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu had been invited, and that when he came to Egypt, he would come unaccompanied by any other minister.

"The Israeli prime minister might come to us during May... and some say that he will bring with him [Lieberman]... The Israeli prime minister will come alone. The only one who will come with him is the director of his office and no other minister will come with him," Mubarak said, according to Arab press accounts.

Officials in Jerusalem noted this is usually the case.

Last week, Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit told Russia Today TV that Cairo would deal with the new Israeli government, but not via Lieberman.

He also said Lieberman "will not visit Cairo. He will certainly not visit as long as his positions remain as they are."

It really doesn't matter what Egypt's positions are. I expect relations between Egypt and Lieberman to be very cold, that's for sure.

... in a single week, President Obama has eliminated two-thirds of that successful-but-not-sufficient national defense troika because his personal ideology -- a fair gist of which is "If the world likes us more we are more secure" -- cannot tolerate harsh interrogation techniques, torture or coercive interviews, call them what you will.

... Americans should be clear on what Obama has done. In a breathtaking display of self-righteousness and intellectual arrogance, the president told Americans that his personal beliefs are more important than protecting their country, their homes and their families.

... Americans and their country's security will be the losers. The Republicans do not have the votes to stop Obama, and the world will not be safer for America because the president abandons interrogations to please his party's left wing and the European pacifists it so admires. Both are incorrigibly anti-American, oppose the use of force in America's defense and -- like Obama -- naively believe that the West's Islamist foes can be sweet-talked into a future alive with the sound of kumbaya.

So if the above worst-case scenario ever comes to pass, Americans will have at least two things from which to take solace, even after the loss of major cities and tens of thousands of countrymen. First, they will know that their president believes that those losses are a small price to pay for stopping interrogations and making foreign peoples like us more. And second, they will see Osama bin Laden's shy smile turn into a calm and beautiful God-is-Great grin.

Scientists are baffled and deeply worried by the latest outbreak of swine flu for two reasons: It appears to combine bird, swine and human viruses in a way that hasn't been seen before, and it is spreading from person to person.

Although swine flu has been known to sporadically infect people, it has usually occurred in rare cases in which the virus jumps from swine to humans who are directly exposed to the animals, such as pig farmers. The virus that has surfaced in Mexico -- and apparently California and Texas -- is known as A/H1N1, a strain that hasn't been previously detected in pigs or humans.

The recent fast-spreading outbreak of swine influenza A (H1N1) in Mexico and the US is causing concern for the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and panic across the general population. With no vaccine in place, the CDC recommends proactive measures as the best solution to preventing more illness and loss of life, making rapid and pervasive communication critical.

President Barack Obama is open to the idea of reaching out to moderate elements of the Taliban, The New York Times reported on Saturday.

In an interview with the newspaper published on its website, Obama said that some of the U.S. success in Iraq involved reaching out to Islamic fundamentalists who had been alienated by the tactics of al Qaeda in Iraq.

"There may be some comparable opportunities in Afghanistan and the Pakistani region," he said. "But the situation in Afghanistan is, if anything, more complex."

Obama, who last month approved the deployment of 17,000 more troops to Afghanistan as part of an effort to stabilize the country, had suggested before becoming president that he was open to talks with more moderate Taliban leaders.

In an assessment that raised questions about the future of Pakistan, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton warned Wednesday that the country's fragile government is facing an "existential threat" from militants who are now operating within a few hours' travel of the capital.

Clinton told the House Foreign Affairs Committee that the government of Islamabad is ceding more and more territory to the militants and is "basically abdicating to the Taliban and the extremists" in signing a deal with militants that limits the government's involvement in the war-torn Swat Valley.

"I think we cannot underscore [enough] the seriousness of the existential threat posed to the state of Pakistan by the continuing advances," Clinton said, adding that the nuclear-armed nation also poses a "mortal threat" to the United States and other countries.
