GATHERING OF EAGLES 2

Gathering of Eagles had another event yesterday in the nation's capitol where they joined forces with Rolling Thunder. Rolling Thunder was celebrating their 20th Anniversary.

Here is some testimony from a friend that was there on the "ground" at the event:

The sunshine and heat were a welcome change from the cold of March. The Mall was much quieter today without the loony moonbats who made such a scene this past March. The Mall was decorated in the colors of Red, White and Blue as families and veterans traveled from all over to spend the day at the Mall enjoying the sunshine and remembering who made this day possible. I had the opportunity to talk briefly with some of the participants in this event and expressed my gratitude to those who served or are serving this beautiful country.

I cannot express in mere words my admiration of the quality and commitment of the Americans I met today. All were here to honor our soldiers on this day. Whether we came from big cities or country towns we all shared a common love of country and profound respect for those who serve to protect this nation.

ANOTHER EAGLES VIDEO

This is an EXCELLENT, comprehensive video by Michelle Malkin about the Gathering of Eagles event. She interviews numerous veterans and it brought tears to my eyes. I don't know how Malkin has the time to do all she does but she does it all well. I think this event was a watershed moment for our side. As Malkin says:

"The silent majority is silent no more."

As I was watching the anti-war protesters I couldn't help but wonder if the average IQ of their side would have to be half of those on the other side. They just seem to be clueless, narcissistic, conspiracy theorists.

ANTI-WAR PROTESTERS LACK A KNOWLEDGE OF HISTORY

As I watched the vitriol of some of the anti-war protesters from this past weekend I had several thoughts.

The biggest thing that hit me was that they have no concept of history. Right after watching the protesters on Hannity's America was a biography of Winston Churchill. I thought about the ridiculous claims that protesters were chanting about how Bush is like Hitler. That is such a slap in the face to the MILLIONS of victims who suffered under the hand of Hitler. Even the worst president in America's history cannot be compared in any way, shape or form to Hitler. If you do then you have no grasp of the horrific cruelty that Hitler imposed on the world.

The protesters also have an intense hatred for Fox News. The left controls every single other MSM outlet and yet they hate the one network that tries to be objective and show a bias towards America. They hate our country so much that hardly any of the anti-war crowd carried an American flag.

When I reflect on this I see the protesters as a bunch of bitter people who hate their country, who hate the truth and are ignorant of history.

UPDATE:
Also, an update to my post on the patriotic Eagles who countered the anti-war protesters. It looks like the Eagles had 2 to 3 times as many people as the anti-war bunch yet no one in the Drive By Media is reporting this. Although, amazingly, The Washington Post at least wrote an article about The Eagles. They even had this to say in their favor:

Their lines snaked around the corner and down several blocks of Constitution Avenue in what organizers called the largest gathering of pro-administration counter-demonstrators since the war began four years ago.
