“In terms of global warming [UMPH ADDED] and ocean acidification,” Professor Olsen said, the rate of change during the end-Triassic extinction “was comparable to what we’re doing today.” As I looked up the cliffs I wondered what we would leave to the ages. If catastrophe strikes, would future geologists find evidence of New York, a marker for our time, just as the Palisades have survived as a tombstone for another era? “No,” he said. “It would be eroded away fairly quickly.”SHEESH. WHAT'S NEXT.... TOOTH DECAY!?!?
ASIDE:
THE OP-ED WRITER DIDN'T GET THE MEMO THAT YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO SAY "CLIMATE CHANGE" NOT "GLOBAL WARMING - ALTHOUGH CLIMATE CHANGE IS BEING PHASED OUT AND THEY'RE STARTING TO SAY "CLIMATE DISRUPTION".
I SAW AT ANOTHER BLOG THAT SOON THEY WILL CALL IT "IRRITABLE CLIMATE SYNDROME" OR "WEATHER, BUT NOW WITH TAXES".

Oh, Lordy. Global warming causes ocean acidification which makes the lobster population shrink. Global warming also causes warmer oceans which makes the lobster population increase. No joke: "Global Warming Causes Warm/Cold, Wet/Dry, Bigger/Smaller Lobsters" http://junkscience.com/2013/07/25/global-warming-causes-warmcold-wetdry-biggersmaller-lobsters/
When the majority of the public finally comprehends how this is what the Al Gore / IPCC crowd does to keep their issue alive, besides all the literally unsupportable character assassination of their critics, then the whole 'global warming crisis' will vanish in a poof of smoke.
