Met Office knew pre-Christmas freeze was coming but held off telling publicGEE... I WONDER WHY THEY DID THIS!?
Weather organisation gave government and emergency planners advance warning but public were restricted to 30-day forecast
The Met Office warned the government that the pre-Christmas weather would be "exceptionally cold" but did not immediately tell the public, it has been revealed.
It advised Cabinet Office planners in early October that Britain was likely to be in for freezing conditions. Public information came only when the 30-day forecast, the current maximum, kicked in.
COULD IT BE THAT THE FORECAST UNDERCUT THE MET OFFICE'S ANTI-CO2 AGENDA [LINKS TO VIDEO]!?
YES.
AND DID THIS "LIE BY OMISSION" LEAD TO UNNECESSARY HARDSHIPS FOR THE BRITISH PEOPLE AND THOSE TRAVELING IN THE UK?
ALMOST CERTAINLY: THE BETTER - TRUER - FORECAST MIGHT HAVE LED PEOPLE TO MAKE BETTER PREPARATIONS. AND MIGHT HAVE FORCED THE GOVERNMENT TO DO THE SAME.
HEADS SHOULD ROLL - AT THE MET OFFICE AND IN THE CAMERON ADMINISTRATION.
