I don't think this should be shocking: jihad is global and jihadist groups don't have to be aligned in an active conspiracy in order to be striving for the dame goals.
This is why I find the whole TAXONOMY OF TERROR debate (about which of the various jihadist groups are doing what and where they're doing it) to be misdirected and a total waste of time.
From a strategic POV, it matters not which enemy army unit is attacking here and which unit is attacking there.
We should not care if one jihadist group calls itself HAMAS and another the Muslim Brotherhood and another FATAH and another the al Aksa Brigades and another Hizballah.
They're all jihadists intent on the same thing and we should be dealing with them - and any group which protects or finances them - the same way: KILL THEM BEFORE THEY KILL US.
Instead Obama is appeasing and pandering to them. This rewards their violence. IOW: INCENTIVIZES IT.
This can only lead to one thing: a horrible attack here. Sooner than you think...
It will surely distract us from Iran and give them more time to finish building an few nukes.
