IF BUSH BELIEVES THIS, HE IS DELUSIONAL

The willfully clearsighted Andrew C. McCarthy posts three quotes at the Corner. This one is from our President:

April 25, 2008: President Bush (addressing the media about Abbas, who is sitting next to him at the White House): "The president is a man of peace.... He's a man of vision. He rejects the idea of using violence to achieve objectives, which distinguishes him from other people in the region."

The other quotes reveal Abbas as a lifelong and passionately committed man of violence and terrorism.

But Bush might not be deluded, he might be merely willfully blind.
