It's not the time at all to talk about gun control. Slott's opportunism is shameful. What we should be talking about, if anything, is how to stop violent ideologies from being indoctrinated into people who end up becoming savages as a result. Slott's ranting about gun control is disrespectful to many victims of any gun violence, no matter what the topics involved. He also seems pretty disinterested in whether neglect by authorities had any responsibility for the terrible incident.

RAPE BY MUSLIM IN TEL AVIV RECOGNIZED AS TERRORIST ATTACK

A brutal rape committed by a Muslim that took place 3 years ago in Tel Aviv has now been classified as a terrorist attack:

The Defense Ministry has recognized a brutal rape of an Israeli teenager by a Palestinian three years ago as a terror attack — a decision that will allow the victim to receive financial support from the National Insurance Institute.

The decision, announced Thursday, marked the conclusion of an internal inquiry by the ministry.

In June 2013, the Tel Aviv Regional Court sentenced Ahmed Bani Jaber, 21, a Palestinian from the West Bank town of Nablus, to 30 years in prison for the 2012 attack on the teenage girl and her boyfriend.

[...] The sentence was one of the most severe ever given for a sex crime in Israel and among the longest possible for the offense.

He deserved it. He also deserves being locked in an isolated cell for the remainder of his days.

ANOTHER STABBING NEAR HALAMISH

The latest intifada stabbing took place circa the village of Halamish:

A Palestinian stabbed and wounded an Israeli near the West Bank settlement of Halamish near the city of Ramallah on Friday and was killed by security forces, the army said.

"Forces at the scene responded and shot the attacker, resulting in his death," it said in a statement.

Initial reports said that 20 year-old male suffered stab wounds to his neck and was evacuated to Tel Hashomer Medical Center in serious condition.

The attacker was identified as 27 year-old Palestinian Abed al-Rahman al-Barghouthi.

The attack comes hours after an Israeli soldier was lightly injured in a stabbing attack in the West Bank city of Hebron Thursday night.

The two Palestinian assailants were shot dead at the scene in the Tel Rumeida neighborhood, according to initial reports and the injured soldier was evacuated to Jerusalem’s Shaare Zedek hospital for treatment.

The assailants can go to hell. Let's hope the victims recover.

JIHAD IN SAN BERNARDINO LEAVES 14 DEAD

Another terrible case of jihad took place in California, committed by 3 monsters, one who's described as very religious (H/T: Jihad Watch):

One of the suspects in Wednesday’s mass shooting in San Bernardino, Calif. has been identified as Syed Farook, according to reports [...]

A man who identified himself as Farook’s father told the Daily News his son worked as a health technician inspecting restaurants and hotels [...]

“He was very religious. He would go to work, come back, go to pray, come back. He’s Muslim.”

The most tragic part of this incident was that a man who'd spotted the jihadists earlier refused to contact authorities because he was afraid of being called "racist":

A man who has been working in the area said he noticed a half-dozen Middle Eastern men in the area in recent weeks, but decided not to report anything since he did not wish to racially profile those people.

“We sat around lunch thinking, ‘What war they doing around the neighborhood?’” he said. “We’d see them leave where they’re raiding the apartment.”

This is exactly why these tragedies happen. Jihad Watch says:

The same thing happened several years ago in the Fort Dix jihad plot: the young man who inadvertently discovered the plot initially hesitated to contact police, fearing that to do so might be racist. This is what 14 years of pounding in the media from Hamas-linked CAIR and the Left has done: make people think that defending themselves and their country is somehow wrong.

Anybody who won't report potential monsters should be charged with failing to report/prevent a crime. The ignoramus who allowed this to happen should be ashamed of himself, as should all those pushing this kind of narrative. Because he refused to act, he now has blood on his hands.

TOP COW'S MATT HAWKINS THINKS "ISLAMOPHOBIA" IS A PROBLEM BUT NOT THE KORAN?

After reading these preview pages from a new series called The Tithe, written by Top Cow's leading editor/publisher Matt Hawkins, I can only conclude he's one of the biggest modern embarrassments in comicdom. The title of this story is "Islamophobia", no less. As you'll notice, one of the opening narrative captions says, "Sunni and Shia are to Islam what Catholic and Protestant are to Christianity; doctrinal differences often debated with bloodshed." Which not only runs the gamut of moral equivalence, they make it sound like all the different denominations of Christianity are no better than Muslims.

The captions also say, "Al Qaeda, the Taliban and ISIS are Sunni", and "The 9-11 hijackers were all Sunni too." Is Hawkins and company saying that there's a difference between two or more sects? Then all he's saying is that he's never bothered to read the Koran, because all interpretations derive from the exact same source. And Bill Roggio at the Long War Journal reported 5 years ago that Iran's been backing 3 Shia terrorist gangs. The Clarion Project has a list of as many as 40 Shia militias Iran's supporting. So if Hawkins is attempting to absolve the Shia sect of any guilt, he's only resorted to apologia.

COMMEMORATION HELD FOR JEWS EXPELLED FROM MUSLIM COUNTRIES

For the second time, a special commemoration was held for Jews who were exiled from Muslim regimes after Israel declared independence in 1948:

Israel officially commemorated the tragic persecution and forced expulsion of almost one million Arab and Iranian Jews from their homes and countries of origin starting in 1948, after Israel declared independence as a Jewish state.

Israel held, for the second time in its history, an official commemoration for the Jews expelled from Arab countries and Iran in the years surrounding the Zionist initiative in Israel and after the establishment of the Jewish state in 1948.

Nearly 80 years ago, Arab countries began the exile of what would amount to 850,000 Jews, some from communities that existed for 3,000 years. The story was silenced by the world. Nearly 50 percent of the Jewish refugees made their home in the State of Israel.

Thousands attended the official commemoration event in Jerusalem on Monday. The event, titled “Longing for Home,” began with a moment of silence for Jews killed in pogroms in Arab countries and Iran.

Amazingly enough, the event was held even at the UN, which is surprising, given that none of the Muslim autocracies there have a care in the world about the fate of Jews who once lived in their lands. The WJC also hosted the event.

BELGIAN MAYOR HOLDS RESPONSIBILITY FOR TURNING MOLENBEEK INTO JIHADIST ENCLAVE

Gatestone Institute wrote about a former Brussels mayor who has to shoulder some blame for enabling the Molenbeek district to become a haven for jihadists:

Testimonials to a city in fear. Much of the responsibility for this apparently rests with Philippe Moureaux, member of the Socialist Party (Parti Socialiste), who was mayor of Molenbeek from 1992 until 2012. Confronted with the complaints of his citizens, he regularly denied the unsustainable conditions in his town: "It makes me angry when people pick out tiny details and lie about them," he said in the quoted report. Molenbeek is "not the Bronx;" the problems with criminality only concern a small number of streets, said Moureaux.

Then Moureaux showed his true colors: "Molenbeek is a symbol that certain people want to destroy. But only over my dead body." Certain people? Does the mayor actually believe in a conspiracy against his district of misery? One does not have to search for long to realize that Moureaux, on whose initiative Belgium passed an "anti-racism law" in 1981, is an anti-Semite -- not exactly common even in Belgium. At the same time, he downplays and supports the violence of young Muslims -- also against Jews.

There was heavy rioting in 2009 during Ramadan in Molenbeek. Muslim youths set up barricades made of burning tires, set cars ablaze, threw rocks at firefighters who came to put out fires and, equipped with rocks and crowbars, looted stores. According to unconfirmed reports, the police received the following order: "Do not provoke them, do not search them, do not intervene, even if dozens of them come together, do not issue warnings for harassment, not even if they throw rocks at you."

Jewish shop-owners were also harassed other than at Ramadan. In 2008, the Flemish magazine Dag Allemaal reported on "youths" yelling, "The Jews are our worst enemies," in the streets of Molenbeek. There used be many stores run by Jews on the Rue du Prado and the Chaussée de Grand in Molenbeek, but in 2008, with the exception of one furniture store, they suddenly disappeared. And nobody seemed bothered by this, especially not Mayor Moureaux.

History should record this man as one of Europe's worst allies for the enemies. It's socialists like him who've destroyed what was decent about the continent.

UN ADMITS IRAN'S LATEST "DEAL" UNLIKELY TO BE "PEACEFUL"

The UN's overseen another laughable faustian deal with the Islamofascist regime that didn't even sign on the nuclear deal with the Obama administration, but is willing to admit the obvious:

Iran is reducing its nuclear activities under a deal with six world powers, but a senior UN official says he cannot guarantee that everything it is doing is peaceful.

International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) chief Yukiya Amano spoke Thursday to the IAEA’s 35-nation board.

Amano says he is “not in a position to provide credible assurance about the absence of undeclared nuclear material and activities in Iran,” and thus cannot conclude that “all nuclear material in Iran is in peaceful activities.”

And there's no chance Iran will ever give them convincing ability to inspect their facilities either. Oh, and what's this about "reducing" their activities? How do we know there aren't underground labs where they're keeping the bulk of their research? Once again, the UN's proven how unreliable they are, and their own respect for life and safety isn't guaranteed either.

AUSTRIAN "POSTER GIRL" FOR JIHAD MURDERED WHILE TRYING TO FLEE SYRIA

An Austrian girl who joined ISIS was murdered by the group while trying to leave Syria:

An Austrian teenager who became a poster girl for the Islamic State has reportedly been beaten to death by the group after she was caught trying to leave Syria.

Sabra Kesinovic, 17, was murdered after she was caught attempting to escape from Raqqa, Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant's (Isil) de facto capital in Syria, according to reports in two Austrian newspapers.

Clearly, she learned what a fatal mistake she made, far too late. If she really didn't like what she was experiencing, she shouldn't have gone at all. This should be a lesson to all women who don't want to live with threats to their lives.

AFTER 30 YEARS, POLLARD FINALLY RELEASED FROM PRISON

I've only gotten around to writing about this a couple days afterwards, but Jonathan Pollard was finally released from prison for his spy scandal.

And I think it'll be appreciated that conservatives in the USA show no misgivings over this, and concentrate on more pressing issues like Islamofascists who could've spied on the USA for autocracies. Pollard for now should be allowed to rest after his release, and we should all put this whole affair behind us.

A FAILURE OF INTELLIGENCE, AND WILLINGNESS TO ACT

A writer at the Rubin Center explains why the bloodbath in Paris was able to take place, and why ISIS remains far from defeated:

...Iranian-backed forces — including Lebanese Hezbollah and Syrian President Bashar Assad’s army, backed by Russian airstrikes, were able to break the long-standing ISIS siege of Kweiris airbase to the east of Aleppo city despite ISIS mobilization calls in Aleppo province to counter the offensive. On a more general level, internal documents suggest that ISIS is facing problems of cohesion in its military ranks, as the General Supervisory Committee issued an amnesty for deserters last month, whereas the normal ruling for fleeing from battle without appropriate justification is execution.

While it certainly is valid to point to these developments as setbacks for ISIS, they are too ephemeral in nature to tie them to the Paris attacks in particular. The sophisticated nature of the Paris attacks would have required planning and procurement of provisions predating ISIS’s latest setbacks. Though it will still take time for more precise details to emerge, nothing so far definitely shows that the Paris attacks differ significantly from prior failed plots involving sleeper cells operating in Europe — including returned foreign fighters in their ranks — with suspected links to low to mid-level ISIS operatives in Iraq and Syria.

In fact, Abdelhamid Abbaoud, a key figure in the Paris attacks, was openly flaunting his role in establishing cells to conduct attacks in Europe in an interview with ISIS’s magazine Dabiq in February. If he was assigned a general role by the highest echelons of ISIS to conduct attacks in Europe, this assignment apparently took place almost a year ago.

It doesn't take a genius to point out that the bloodbath came as a result of the upper echelons' refusal to act and arrest anybody threatening religious violence and bar them entry to their country. If the French government wanted to, they could've prevented it long ago. Instead, they acted negligently, and now mass murder has resulted from that staggering failure and cowardice.

If they truly want to convince now, they will pass laws that allow for proper enforcement, and they'll even abolish laws like the ones Phillippe Karsenty was tried under, and let proof burdens lie upon the plaintiffs in a court trial.

ZE'EV JABOTINSKY'S MESSAGE REMAINS VALID TODAY

The Algemeiner says that some of Jabotinsky's messages of yesteryear remain quite useful in modern times:

The uncomfortable truth is that the current jihad against Israel is based solely on the fact that Israel’s enemies want the country destroyed. Thus, there is no possibility of a “two-state solution,” until the Palestinians decide to accept a Jewish state. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu clearly believes this, but he cannot say it, because he is facing too much pressure from the outside world.

Jabotinsky was right when he demanded that there must always be a price to pay for terror. He asked a question in 1938 that is eerily as valid today: “Is a situation moral in which one side can commit any crime or murder and the other is forbidden to react?”

It’s as if nothing has changed, and we have not yet learned from history. In a world where Israel is still blamed, what will Netanyahu say when Abbas demands concessions as the price for stopping terror?

A real friend does not demand, let alone ask, that the opposite end of the table forfeit any part of their country, or limit where they can reside and travel. And Jabotinsky was right. A situation where one side's evil is deemed legitimate is dangerous and causes serious damage, to say nothing of fiasco.

SOME OF THE PARIS JIHADISTS CAME FROM BELGIUM

As anti-terror raids are now conducted in Europe, and will hopefully continue, it's been discovered that some of the jihadists in Paris came from a Belgian suburb called Molenbeek:

As France bombs ISIS targets in Syria following the horrific attacks in Paris, experts warned the roots of the onslaught were much closer to home: young people turning to radical Islam because they don't feel they belong in Europe.

At least half of the extremists who killed nearly 130 people on Friday are thought to have been raised in France and neighboring Belgium.

"We are breeding a generation of kids who are estranged from their own societies," U.K.-based expert on radicalization Bill Durodie said.

Security forces have zeroed in on a poor Molenbeek suburb of Brussels, where several people were detained in a series of raids since the ISIS-linked attacks. Tiny Belgium — with a population of just 11 million — has the highest number per capita of militants fighting in Syria and Iraq, experts say. Many are from Molenbeek, which has a long history of links to extremism.

According to Claude Moniquet, a former Belgian intelligence agent and co-founder of the European Strategic Intelligence and Security Center, poverty and segregation are feeding extremism in the area.

He said some parts of Molenbeek are 80 to 90 percent Muslim, "so there is no mixing, no interaction with other communities."

On top of this, officials have not taken on the extremist ideology head-on, Moniquet said.

"They completely let the bad guys do absolutely what they wanted," he said. "They have been too nice, too tolerant, too bland. They didn't want to see radical Islamism in this part of the country because the only thing interesting for them is peace [and quiet] and to be reelected."

This is practically the case in many parts of Europe now where Muslim enclaves reign. The authorities literally think leaving the problem alone will make it go away, when the opposite is the real picture. But will they change now? Don't bet on it so easily.
