Turkey is getting ready for a national civil war as Erdogan and the AKP desperately try to hold onto power as their young people and their Kurds revolt - and they are flooded with refugees,..

Iran is about to get a nuke one way or another, by building it or buying it, but all this really does is bring the whole damn world closer to total annihilation...

Meanwhile India wallows around unable to develop its people or economy as China did and wary of Pakistan - whose nukes might easily fall under the control of islamists....

Meanwhile in northeast Asia, Japan has reached the demographic point of no return, and South Korea and North Korea edge ever closer to war...

WHAT CAN STOP THIS SEEMINGLY INEXORABLE CRASH OF HUMANITY ON EARTH?

I think only a few things that are on the near-term horizon:

1 - THE ADVENT OF COMMERCIAL FUSION ENERGY - which will provide clean cheap sustainable energy to all humanity and moot the anthropogenic climate change hysteria which has retarded economic growth and squelched improvements to QOL and life-spans for 1/3 of humanity.

2 - CURING CANCER AND MOST DISEASES, and greatly lengthening youthful lifespans. This will decrease most people's desire to use violence, terror and war, but make threats of same a more powerful weapon for a minority - a minority which might finally be eradicated since they threaten much more in a world in which people might live to be 150.

3 - NANOTECHNOLOGY WILL CHANGE EVERYTHING.

I think these three innovations could become a part of everday reality within the next ten years.

I'm just not sure that Weatern Civilization will last that long. 

In the next ten years, Iran, ISIS, China, North Korea, Pakistan, and Putin might ignite a global nuclear war.

Meanwhile, the attack on our civilizations foundations from within by Gramscian postmodern leftists threatens to destroy us from within.

And then there's the possibility of total, global economic collapse.

It seems to me that these three grave threats - (the hegemonistic mania of the totalitarian states and islamism which bring war and terror and destruction, and the socialistic utopian mania of so-called progressives who bring us economic and moral bankruptcy, libertinage, anarchy and decadence) - might easily lead humanity to total collapse within the next ten years.

As Yeats wrote right after the first global war:

The great pity is that our end will be of our own making.

We have the capacity to stop it, but the current crop of world leaders in the Free World, the Western World, do not have the will.

If I had to lay odds, I'd say the end comes before we make fusion and eternal youth - and a great new age of prosperity and creativity - a reality.

And what happens after the collapse?

The future after the seemingly unavoidable impending cataclysm depends on if a remnant survives, and who that remnant is.

It might very well be Iran. Or North Korea.

Imagine a whole world that looks like either of them.

I really believe the next president may very well be our last. And certainly be the last of this Age.

If we choose poorly and elect someone who carries obamunism forward, then we will surely be choosing our own end.

YES: ON THIS NEXT ELECTION RESTS THE FUTURE OF ALL HUMANITY.

ISRAEL PASSES TOUGH NEW ANTI-TERRORISM LAW

The Knesset approved the first reading of a bill for improvements in countering terrorism:

An upgraded counter terrorism law passed its first reading Thursday in the Knesset plenum.

Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked (Bayit Yehudi) sponsored the bill. She told journalists it was intended to provide authorities with the many tools needed to “lead an effective battle against terrorist organizations, both in fighting their expanding activities and the funding that enables such activity.

“We believe that passing the Terror Act, in its current version is a necessary and vital step to advance the fight against terror,” she said. “In this fight, there is no ‘Left’ and ‘Right,’” she emphasized.

[...] Under the new law, administrative detentions will be legalized, and those who support terrorism will receive up to three years’ imprisonment. The definition of terror support will include posting praises of terrorism online, waving flags connected with terror activity, etc.

In addition, accomplices to such crimes will receive the same penalties as perpetrators.

The maximum prison term will be raised to 30 years for terror-related crimes as well.

It's certainly time this was done.

UN Watch discovered 12 Facebook accounts promoting antisemitism and violence:

UN Watch released a new report today documenting 12 different Facebook accounts operated by UNRWA officials (see images below) that openly incite to antisemitism and terrorism, and urged UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and UNRWA chief Pierre Krähenbühl to terminate the responsible officials, condemn the offending posts, and establish a commission of inquiry, comprised of representatives of top donor states (see chart at right), to investigate the culture of impunity for perpetrators of racism and incitement that pervades UNRWA.

“The pattern and practice of UNRWA school principals, teachers and staff members posting antisemitic and terror-inciting images suggests a pathology of racism and violence within UNRWA that must be rooted out, not buried, as UNRWA spokesman Chris Gunness has attempted to do by calling for boycotts of newspapers or NGOs that report these incidents of hate,” said Hillel Neuer, executive director of UN Watch, a non-governmental Geneva watchdog organization.

“The UN must recognize that these disgusting posts, published on Facebook accounts run by people who identify themselves as UNRWA officials, constitute a gross violation of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, which prohibits “incitement to discrimination, hostility or violence,” said Neuer.

Unfortunately, knowing how the UN's staff operate, there's little chance they'll ever take disciplinary action against any of these ghouls.

So now you know what it means, Mr. Kistler. But I guess it means zero to your dismissive mindset, eh? And I guess you're not worried about Islamofascists using guns for violence against infidels either? What a shame. He just can't appreciate some creativity if that's what can help to prevent jihadists from using certain companies' products and leaving the company staff burdened with guilt that their products were used for evil. Let us be clear: no sane business worker wants to be blamed for giving an enemy rope to hang them with. And if the Florida gunmaker thinks this could help prevent their products from being exploited for evil, then they should be given some credit for trying to find ways to keep their weapons from getting into the wrong hands. Kistler, alas, doesn't have the courage to thank them for their efforts.

"PERSONAL GUILT" VERSUS "COLLECTIVE GUILT" IS RIGHT VERSUS LEFT

In  the West, Christianity solved the problem of personal guilt: one inevitably sinned, but could be forgiven if one sincerely repented and changed for the better.

The state of society was left to Caesar; the state of your soul was in your hands alone.

As postmodernism eroded the concepts of personal sin and hence guilt - (by arguing that morality is culturally relative and not universal, and that traditional social mores were repressive and needed to be overthrown) - they were replaced by collective sin and collective guilt: society was guilty of certain "sins"; therefore society had to be changed "for the better". This is the core moral argument for progressivism.

Liberalism in general - and its bastard sons progressivism and leftism - are attempts to solve the problem of personal sin and collective guilt. Individuals don't have to behave in a traditionally upright moral manner, or are absolved if they fail to, as long as they support to collectivist agenda to rid society as a whole of its collective sins.

These collective sins are racism, sexism, colonialism, capitalism, and traditional Judeo-Christianity.

Today, one can personally be guilty of any traditional sin, and even be guilty of personally transgressing a collective sin, but be absolved of these sins if one also supports the liberal agenda.

And the agenda doesn't even have to be effective at changing society for the better for it to be able to assuage the guilt of the liberal who transgresses.

This is how limousine liberals who jet around all the time and own huge homes and rent ginormous yachts and otherwise have enormous carbon footprints can still see themselves - and are seen by other liberals - as climate crusaders.

This is why they can support and want to mainstream all sorts of personal salacious libertine behaviors that have been seen as anarchistic and immoral by most cultures for most of human history.

This is the basis of liberation theology - a religion that puts personal salvation to the side and instead emphasizes collective sins and collective guilt and collective salvation.

This is why liberals blame society for the crimes individual criminals choose to commit.

This is what motivates liberals' desire to control healthcare, energy, CO2, H2O, and regulate all commerce and trade: they see the marketplaces which freely set prices for these things and freely create winners and losers as selfish, greedy personal efforts which create too few winners and too many losers. They feel that a collective overhaul which fixes prices and allocates resources from on high can fix things so that the price is abstractly fair and the goods or services fairly distributed to all members of the collective.

This effort has always failed, and Friedman explained why.

The goal of the liberal is not personal salvation; it is utopia... a sort of collective heaven here on Earth.

History has shown that these liberal collective policies inevitably create a hell on Earth.

So, why do liberals persist in advocating them?

They persist because it makes them feel good about themselves - regardless of what they do personally to positively effect the problems they see and regardless of how abominably they behave in their private lives.

Liberalism allows liberals to behave badly - to sin - in their personal lives and allows them to feel good about themselves becaue they support attacking collecfive sins.

Hence their support for a sexually permissive nannystate that feeds, clothes, and shelters them from cradle ti grave and even allows them drug abuse.

I think Bill and Hillary Clinton epitomize this at the current time.

They ar liars, cheaters, thieves and possibly traitors who see themselves and are seen by many liberals as great people because of their efforts at bolstering the collective.

But they are truly sinful and evil people.

One of the few truly collective responsibilities we have as a nation is national defense: individually we cannot defend our nation from external threats.

And it is no coincidence that liberals always attack this truly common cause.

A strong national defense perpetuates our nation, and anything that perpetuates our nation also perpetuates the West and Judeo-Christian Civilization - things they hate.

A key reason they hate them is that a cornerstone of this civilization - and the system of government it gave rise to after thousands of years of struggle, self government - is individualism.

And nothing is more threatening to a collective hell-bent on creating a utopia on Earth than the individual who wants to live his own life in accordance with how she and he see eternal, traditional and times-tested values.

Salvation is personal.

Unless you are a liberal.

BOMBSHELL: Current and former Clinton lawyers in coordinated email cover-up

At least four classified Hillary Clinton emails had their markings changed to a category that shields the content from Congress and the public, Fox News has learned, in what State Department whistleblowers believed to be an effort to hide the true extent of classified information on the former secretary of state’s server. 

The changes, which came to light after the first tranche of 296 Benghazi emails was released in May, was confirmed by two sources -- one congressional, the other intelligence. The four emails originally were marked classified after a review by career officials at the State Department. But after a second review by the department's legal office, the designation was switched to "B5" -- also known as "deliberative process," which refers to internal deliberations by the Executive Branch. Such discussions are exempt from public release.   

The B5 coding has the effect, according to a congressional source, of dropping the email content "down a deep black hole." 

According to recent congressional testimony, at least one of the lawyers in the office where the changes were made is Catherine “Kate” Duval, who now handles the release of documents to the Benghazi select committee and once worked for the same firm as Clinton's private attorney David Kendall. 

Fox News is told there were internal department complaints that Duval, and a second lawyer also linked to Kendall, gave at the very least the appearance of a conflict of interest during the email review. A State Department spokesman did not dispute the basic facts of the incident, confirming to Fox News the disagreement over the four classified emails as well as the internal complaints. But the spokesman said the concerns were unfounded. 

The whistleblowers told intelligence community officials that they did not agree with the B5 changes, and the changes had the effect of shielding the full extent of classified content on the server. The incident was referenced in a Washington Times report mid-August, but this is the first time fuller details have been available. Because the emails are now marked B5, or deliberative, it is impossible to know the content and relevance to the congressional and FBI investigations. 

The internal State Department disagreement was so significant that it rose to the level of Under Secretary for Management Patrick Kennedy, who is deeply involved in the email controversy, as Clinton's server arrangement required his formal signoff or tacit approval. Asked who signed off on the private server on Tuesday, State Department spokesman Mark Toner said, "I personally don't know."

Two Democratic senators threw crucial support behind the Iran nuclear deal on Tuesday, almost assuring that President Obama would have the votes to overcome congressional opponents seeking to derail the landmark accord.  

The announcements by the senators, Bob Casey of Pennsylvania and Chris Coons of Delaware, came a week before the Senate returned to formally debate a Republican resolution disapproving the accord among Iran and six world powers.  

With the support of Mr. Casey and Mr. Coons, the chances of Congress torpedoing it are becoming ever more slim. Mr. Coons, an outspoken voice on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, received personal, written assurances from Mr. Obama on Tuesday on a range of concerns before throwing his weight behind the deal.  

In the House, Representative Adam Smith of Washington, the ranking Democrat on the Armed Services Committee and an important voice in his party, also came out in favor of the deal on Tuesday. The decisions by Mr. Coons and Mr. Casey were hardly made without reservations.

“We assess that Iran has begun to stockpile them,” the official said of the 500-kilometer-range, solid-fueled missile, unveiled in Aug. 22 ceremonies for National Defense Industry Day in the presence of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani. “You can be sure we are monitoring any attempt to move these out of the country by air, land or sea.”

He added, in a not-so-cryptic reference to the multiple times weapon shipments have either been seized on the high seas or attacked by air, “Our red lines are very clear to all and we are obliged to act on them.”

…the precision-delivered system would be extremely lethal in the hands of Hezbollah.

“It means that from the farthest point in Lebanon, this missile can accurately hit high-value targets throughout Israel,” he said.

And while Iranian officials have stated that the missile is ready to enter production, Inbar concurred with the defense official who assessed that the Fateh 313 was already in serial production.

And Obama's policies have only made the situation worse by encouraging them to make more rockets.

1. You have argued that the Iran deal enhances Israel’s security and those of our Arab Gulf allies. 

At the same time, your administration has offered the Gulf states a huge security package by way of compensation and you have expressed frustration that the government of Israel has not yet entered into discussions with you to discuss ways to bolster its security. 

But isn’t this a paradox? 

If the Iran deal bolsters their security, shouldn’t their security needs be going down, not up?

BILL O'REILLY SHOWS OFF HIS IGNORANCE OF ISLAM

People's Pundit Daily addressed the Fox news host's ignoramus side:

Calling jihad a perversion of Islam is nothing but a demonstrative show that Bill O’Reilly is incredibly ignorant of Islam, or has succumbed to Civilization Jihad. Jihadists claim they are dying for Islam. They have the exact same beliefs as those Muslims who attend Jumma prayers each Friday at their local mosques.

How do we know this to be true versus Bill O’Reilly’s foolish belief that Jihad is a perversion of Islam?

Tarek Fatah pointed out on January 10, 2015 that “[there] is a specific ritual prayer uttered by most Mosque Imams just prior to the formal Friday prayer we Muslims refer to as the Juma’a. In the prayer, the clerics ask Allah among other things to give victory to Muslims over the ‘Qawm al-Kafirun,’ the Arabic phrase that lumps all non-Muslims, that is Jews, Hindus, Christians, Atheists, Buddhists and Sikhs into one.”

O'Reilly isn't just ignorant of Koranic themes. He's also ignorant of the many Islamofascists who've confirmed the opposite of what he says, including Recep Erdogan. He acts like they don't exist. He's not fit for his job.

PREDICTION: THE FINAL FOUR: KASICH, CRUZ, FIORINA, AND PAUL

Paul - who will hold the isolationistic libertarian slice of the GOP electorate - will continue to perform poorly, but persist like his ol man.

Fiorina will steadily continue impress and capture a slice of the electorate that wants an outsider, a woman, and a consistent conservative.

Kasich will become the chosen candidate of the establishment and get the backing of Bush and Christie and Perry and Rubio.

Cruz will get the backing of Jindal, Santorum, and Carson, Huckabee, Walker and Trump.

Trump will become tiring and his liberal views and his propensity to shoot wildly from the hip will turn more people off as we get deeper into the process. He won't have a deer in the headlights moment, but his ignorance of the issues will begin to trump his gutsy intuitive and overly general opinions.

Trump is a combination of Silvio Burlusconi and Beppe Grillo. And as such has a ceiling above which he cannot climb. As others drop out, the remaining candidates begin to approach that ceiling and Trump no longer seems like an unstoppable force.

After losing a few primaries, Trump the egomaniac will come up with a reason for dropping out to support Cruz.

WE MUST ALL KEEP OPPOSING THE IRAN DEAL

David Weinberg says the deal has to be made politically toxic, and also points to Obama's view of America:

For decades, two tenets have informed U.S. policy in the Middle East. The first is that U.S. interests there are best served by the position of unquestioned American pre-eminence. The second is that military might holds the key to maintaining that dominant position. (In this context, Israel has been an important U.S. regional ally).

This approach is what Bacevich calls the "Big Enchilada" -- the America-as-top-dog approach that Obama is seeking to overturn.

Obama rejects this notion, since he essentially views America's preponderance in world affairs as arrogant and sinful. He feels that American "bullying" has brought about disastrous results.

Most telling was Obama's infamous lament in 2010 about America as "a dominant military superpower, whether we like it or not." In other words, he really doesn't like it at all. No statement could be more revealing of Obama's disgust for American global leadership.

In the context of the current deal with Iran, Obama has been equally clear as to how he expects this play out. If successfully implemented, the agreement that slows Iran's nuclear program will also end Iran's isolation. This will allow Tehran, over time, to become a "legitimate" and "extremely successful regional power" and a "powerhouse in the region." These are Obama's own words.

All this leads, of course, to American retreat -- blessed retreat from Obama's perspective -- from the projection of power in the region. Replacing America will be a revanchist, greatly emboldened, anti-Semitic and genocidal (toward Israel), Islamic Republic of Iran. Poof goes the Big Enchilada.

Obama has been mostly dismissive of Iran's "bad behavior," as he flippantly calls it. He says that he "hopes to have conversations" with Iranian leadership that might lead someday to their "abiding by international norms and rules"; that he "hopes and believes" that Iranian "moderates" will leverage their country's reintegration into the global economy as an opportunity to drive kinder, gentler and less revolutionary foreign policies.

Whether Obama himself believes such nonsense is moot. The rub is that Obama doesn't view American behavior in the region over past decades as any more moral or legitimate than Iran's behavior. Consequently, the main thing for him is the humbling and retreat of America.

He's already become one of America's worst presidents, and one of the most apathetic. It's just plain awful.

IT WOULD BE BAD IF DANIEL BARENBOIM PLAYED MUSIC IN IRAN

The Israel-hating musician Barenboim might be allowed to enter Iran just so he can play philharmonics with a German group:

Culture and Sport Minister Miri Regev demanded on Wednesday that German Chancellor Angela Merkel cancel talks of a possible performance in Tehran staged by the Berlin Philharmonic and its musical director, the world renowned pianist Daniel Barenboim.

Barenboim, the Argentinian-born Israeli, has earned a reputation in recent years as one of the harshest critics of government policies in the territories. [...]

"The conductor, Daniel Barenboim, a citizen of Israel, will perform in Iran together with the Berlin Philharmonic," Regev wrote. "Barenboim has taken an anti-Israel stance and he makes sure to slander Israel while using culture as leverage in order to state his political opinions against the State of Israel." [...]

"Daniel Barenboim's concert in Iran hurts Israel's efforts to prevent the nuclear agreement and boosts the delegitimization efforts against Israel," Regev wrote.

"Iran is a state sponsor of terrorism," she wrote. "It supports Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, and Hamas, and its leaders have blood on their hands. I believe that Germany would do the right thing if it would cancel the performance."

That any German medium would willingly go to Iran at a time like this when they're still dominated by pure evil only says they haven't learned a true lesson. Their association with monsters like Barenboim speaks volumes.

MIKE GRELL'S UNINFORMED VIEW OF ISLAM AND YUGOSLAVIAN WAR

I found an old interview Westfield Comics did in late 2001 with artist/writer Mike Grell on the Internet Archive, from the time he'd written Iron Man for about a year - and a very poor job at that - where he wrote up a story that whitewashed Islam. Grell: Storywise, the angle I'm taking is I want to, first of all, deal with the character. To me, the stories are not necessarily secondary, but the character development itself is always the important thing and the stories build around the character. 

So, one of the first things that I'm doing is restoring the human frailty aspect of Tony Stark having to recharge his heart on a regular basis, or an irregular basis, which is even more alarming for him. Depending on how much energy he uses during the course of the day, he gets somewhere between a 24 and 48 hour charge on his heart before he begins to weaken. So we're adding that one aspect back into his character. 

Then, going on from there, one of the things that I'm dealing with is the fact that Tony's spent an awful long time involved in one aspect or another of weapons development. Basically what he's done is, he's developed this super powerful weapon that, if it were to fall into the wrong hands or if it were to be misapplied, could cause more harm than good. 

It's one thing when you're young and you're approaching things from an academic standpoint, more or less on the angle of a mental exercise, "can I do this?" as opposed to "should I do this?" It's quite another thing when something you might have developed in the past jumps up and bites you in the butt. 

That's the direction that I've taken him in the very first storyline that I'm doing. In issue #50, I'm very pleased to say, given the state of the world and everything else, I took the problems in Eastern Europe of Kosovo and Bosnia and rolled them into a situation with a character that I call Milos Radanovic (a very, very slight take off on Slobodan Milosevic), and put Tony Stark into the situation where he has to deal in a country where the leader is conducting ethnic cleansing, which is a thinly veiled term for genocide, against the Muslim population.

After arriving in the small, southern border town of Miratovac, they faced a three-mile walk to a reception centre where they could receive food, medical aid and the documents they need to continue travelling through Serbia. Those processed by the overcrowded asylum center now have three days to reach northern Serbia on buses and trains. More than 90,000 people have entered Serbia so far this year, 23,000 of them in the past 14 days.

This year 155,000 migrants have arrived in Greece – almost half by sea. UNHCR spokesperson Laura Padoan says up to a thousand people every day are reaching the islands off the Greek mainland. CHRIS ROBERSON DETESTS CHARLES SCHUMER FOR OPPOSING THE IRAN DEAL

Several days ago, Roberson tweeted the following:

And what's that supposed to mean? That Roberson's okay with it? Bleah. To some extent,it's weird coming from a man who co-wrote the Fables spinoffs, since, whatever one thinks of Bill Willingham, the Fables series is supposed to feature right-wing metaphors. I guess that makes Roberson the wolf in the flock. Then again, this was the same man who said all men are bad after the Isla Vista murders. Mr. Roberson doesn't understand that the whole "deal" is just a faustian farce, and last week, the UN was said to be willing to allow Iran to conduct its own inspections. Unfortunately, Roberson must think this makes perfect sense, when it doesn't. He's just another ostrich putting his head in the sand.

SOUTH AFRICA MP DEFENDS ISRAEL

A politician from south Africa says there's no apartheid in Israel:

South African Member of Parliament Kenneth Meshoe spoke out against the claim by Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement activists that Israel is an "apartheid state."

"There are many Christians that support Israel, but they don't come out...Those who know what real apartheid is, as I know, know that there is nothing in Israel that looks like apartheid," Meshoe, who is the president of the African Christian Democratic Party, told Israel’s Channel 10. He added that those who support Israel in South Africa frequently encounter "intimidation."

The view that Israel is an apartheid state, he said, "is an empty political statement that does not hold truth. You see people of different colors, backgrounds, and religions [coexist in the country]."

Exactly. There's nothing here like what the BDS movement wants everyone to think. And he says that the BDS movement is just a pain, which they are.

A STORY THAT COULD LEAD NOWHERE OUT OF POLITICAL CORRECTNESS

Marvel published a Secret Wars tie-in called Secret Love, where they seem to put in a brief love between the Muslim Ms. Marvel and a new Ghost Rider of a different racial background than his predecessors, though I've got a feeling it won't last, for guessable reasons:

The cover story is a Ms. Marvel/Ghost Rider team-up, pairing two of Marvel’s newer, younger legacy characters of diverse backgrounds. And I mean “diverse” not only in the fact that they are not your standard-issue white characters, but that they are very different from one another, with little in common beyond the fact that they’re both still in high school.

This story is both written and drawn by Felipe Smith, who penned the short-lived ongoing starring this new Robbie Reyes version of Ghost Rider (and drew a little bit of it). Based on the looks of this, Smith could and maybe should draw his next Marvel ongoing (and he definitely should get a next one, if he wants one, even if it doesn’t star his Ghost Rider). He has a very animated, very glossy style that is heavily manga influenced, and actually seems to be a better fit for Ms. Marvel than it is for Ghost Rider.

In “Battleworld,” Kamala Khan and her dad work with Bruno at a Circle Q concession stand located in the “Killasieum” where Robbie and the other Ghost Racers compete. When the pair share a few panels of action against a rogue monster, they look deep into one another’s eyes and publicly display their feelings for one another, something that keeps both Bruno and Robbie’s girlfriend in a state of high anxiety.

On the surface, it looks surprising they'd greenlight this. But I won't be surprised if this is as far as it'll go, because they don't want to offend Muslims with a love affair between a Muslim girl and an infidel.

And that would prove just how political correctness ruins creative freedom. Even though the premise they're using for the Khan character is poor enough already as it is.

US ARMY OFFICIALS THWART TERROR ATTACK ON TRAIN TO PARIS

It's very lucky these army members were traveling aboard a train heading from Amsterdam to Paris, because the train staff didn't show proper courage to deal with this themselves (Hat tip: Hot Air):

The struggle was brief, bloody and chaotic.

The high-speed train was zipping from Amsterdam to Paris on Friday when a shirtless man emerged from the bathroom — a rifle slung over his shoulder, witnesses said.

A French passenger and three Americans — a civilian, an Air Force member and a National Guard member — jumped into action. They quickly tackled him, possibly averting a massacre aboard the train.

By the time the suspect was subdued, three people had nonlife-threatening injuries, said Anthony Blondeau, a spokesman for Arras city in northern France, where the train pulled up after the incident and the suspect was arrested. One of the Americans was among the injured.

The suspect was identified as a Moroccan terrorist known to authorities in Spain. The soldiers and French rider who took down the filth did the right thing to spring into action, and saved many people from a more serious disaster.

Update: here's more exact confirmation of the attempted gunman's identity:

A French official close to the investigation says police have positively identified the train gunman as 26-year-old Moroccan Ayoub El-Khazzani. French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said earlier Saturday that Spanish authorities had alerted French intelligence to him in February 2014 because he "belonged to the radical Islamist movement," and the French put him on a security watch list. El-Khazzani was identified through his fingerprints, according to the official, who insisted on not being identified by name because of the ongoing probe.

The reason why he was able to smuggle a gun and box cutting knife aboard the train is because, although there are armed soldiers guarding stations, they don't use metal detectors and bag searches. Well they're going to have to change all that if they really want the rides to be safe.

ISLAMOFASCISM'S USE OF RAPE AS A TOOL

Michael Ledeen wrote about how sexual abuse is a leading factor in the Muslim doctrine:

I think I can see his point. They have such a horrific education system, it renders them all but incapable of maintaining a polite relationship with the opposite sex. Obviously, there's no proper sex education in Islam, and certainly not a belief in convincing respect for the fairer sex, so they emerge as beasts in sheep's clothing.
